The Waldorf absolutely gave us our dream wedding. Everything was customizable and we were able to do anything we wanted basically! Steve was fantastic to work with - he really list...
ened to everything we wanted and was able to pull everything together with all his creativity. The staff was also incredible and very friendly. They really went above and beyond for our needs. The food is amazing too at the Waldorf - everything was perfect.
I cannot say enough good things about the experience we had at the Waldorf Astoria for our wedding. Our planner had recommended this venue for our small wedding, and we are so glad...
we had our wedding here. From start to finish, Mariel the coordinator was exceptional. She was extremely prompt, professional, detailed, and communicative. The day of was extremely seamless, the staff went above and beyond to make it quite literally the wedding of our dreams. Mariel is an experienced wedding professional and it shows, and she was so communicative with our planner. We had zero issues, and the venue is perfect for our intimate 50-person wedding. My husband and I have a very high bar for food, and the quality and taste of the food served was exceptional, which was communicated to us by all of our guests. The day of staff & service was amazing and made us
and our guests feel like royalty. Thank you, Mariel and your team, for making our day feel like a dream.
The Waldorf Astoria in Chicago was a fantastic venue for a smaller wedding. We had 70 guests and everything was perfect. Our smaller numbers were under the food and beverage mini...
mum, and we were able to put the extra money towards our rehearsal dinner and brunch the day after. The food was phenomenal. The service was exceptional. Samantha, our event manager, was fantastic. The lobby is a beautiful backdrop for photos, and the holiday decorations for our December 8th wedding made it that much more beautiful. Our guests all had a fantastic time. I can't say enough good things.
ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING! 10 out of 5 stars! Samantha Newman is incredible! From start to finish, Samantha was a pleasure to work with! She was friendly, helpful, responsive, organiz...
ed, detail oriented, and very professional. Not only is Samantha fantastic at her job, she really cares and goes above and beyond to make your wedding day perfect. We had several meetings with my planner/event designer and other vendors at The Waldorf leading up to the wedding, and Samantha showed up to every single meeting even when we didn’t ask her to. I thought that was really classy because it demonstrated her dedication to her job and our event. She worked as a team with me, my mom, and my wedding planner to make sure every little detail was covered. Overall, her client services skills are TOP NOTCH! She even helped with little requests- she went to Bed Bath and Beyond to get me a special hanger for my wedding dress so it wasn’t touching the floor, she helped me order birthday flowers for my sister in law, she asked people to move when we were taking pictures so they weren’t in the back of our shot, the list goes on and on ! Samantha and the rest of the Waldorf staff also helped me create a custom catering package, so my guests could choose from chicken, steak or vegan/gluten free. They even gave me mini portions of each entrée on our wedding night so I could try everything! I loved how the Waldorf took dinner orders the night of vs guests pre-selecting their meal because it made the night feel very elegant and personalized for each guest. The Waldorf made our wedding day so incredibly special! Thank you to Samantha and the entire Waldorf staff for making the wedding of our dreams come to life!
We had our wedding reception at the Waldorf in November 2017 and it was easily one of the best decisions we made! The reception spaces, guest rooms, and lobby (actually everywhere ...
in this hotel) are stunning!! Samantha was our coordinator and she is beyond amazing and helped us along every step of the way!! Our dinner was SO good!! We had the best squash risotto and our cake was delicious! The dinner service was also top notch. We noticed this on the wedding day but also during our tasting. Everyone at the Waldorf is so nice and accommodating! The Waldorf is such a chic hotel and our guests still rave about the ambiance, overall experience, and the prime location. The Waldorf came recommended to us by our planner and before that we never thought it would even be an option for us. SO glad we chose the Waldorf!
Our wedding at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago was perfect. The food was delicious, venue is beautiful, and service is impeccable. Samantha Newman did a great job from start to finish....
We recommend the hotel to any couple.

etail. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. In fact, many guests commented it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding.
The Waldorf is such a beautiful and elegant venue. We highly recommend it!

Samantha Newman was absolutely fantastic to work with. She is extremely professional, quick to reply and was able to execute our vision flawlessly. We highly recommend her!
We look forward to hosting additional events here in the future and to working with Samantha again.
My husband and I are huge foodies and we really wanted a place that was up to our standards in food. This venue COVERED that! The food was above and beyond amazing. The portions...
were something that you would expect when ordering at a restaurant, and nobody left feeling hungry! Our guests have raved about the food, and we are very satisfied.
We had the wedding on a Friday, so that we could spend time with our guests, and also to save a little $$$. I would recommend this to anyone.
The ballroom is beautiful, and was perfect for about 125 guests, but any more than that would be EXTREMELY tight. There is an awkwardly placed wall that secluded 2 tables from the rest of our reception, and they said that they could not here any of the speeches. So my advice would be to make sure that your speakers are placed in a spot that those people behind the wall can at least hear, if not see.
Overall we were very happy, and everything looked beautiful.
My husband and I booked a room for our wedding night at the Waldorf. We both live downtown but thought it would be nice to stay somewhere extra nice before we left for our honeymoo...
n. I informed the hotel that the room was for our wedding night via- booking.com, the phone (twice), reception desk when we checked in, and even the person who helped bring my bags in earlier that day. Yet, they opened up a sofa bed in the living room, which I did not request and I did not want open. The once large room was then made to feel small and we could not enjoy the fireplace. I am not sure why they would do that if I had booked the room for only 2 people on our wedding night. Other than that, it was nice as always. I just hoped they had done a better job preparing the room for such a special night.
Everyone and everything at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago could not have been more perfect. Leonardo and his staff are outstanding and I would recommend them to anyone looking to get ...
married in Chicago. I could not have dreamt up a better venue for my wedding.
My husband and I got married at the Waldorf Astoria in August 2012, we were a little nervous because it was the Elysian when we first booked the wedding and then changed to the Wal...
dorf. We booked the Elysian because of their superb service everytime you walk through the door of the hotel and I think that held true for the Waldorf as well. Our guests raved about the food and the service and the hotel was thoughtful enough to pay attention to the kind of cake we were served at our table and make sure we got a slice of the opposite flavor up in our room after the wedding. Caitlin was very sweet and easy to work with.
The Elysian is, by far, the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed in. My husband and I spent a week in the Executive Suite and loved every last detail. They had wine and chocolat...
es waiting for us upon arrival, which was a sweet touch! My mother also called the hotel to surprise us with an Edible Arrangement delivered to our room, and they were super helpful and accommodating to her as well. As a girl, I also had to appreciate the WONDERFUL bathroom, with a huge walk-in shower and deep soaking tub, which was lovely :) There was also a fireplace which was so cozy and romantic! All in all, every last detail that you could dream up in a luxury hotel room--the Elysian has it!
From the minute you arrive it's as if you are not in Downtown Chicago. Beautiful architecture design in and out. The service and attention to detail was Phenomenal! The Passed Cana...
pés, Swordfish, Grilled Chicken Entrée and Red Velvet Cake was Phenomenal!!! The Elsian surpassed all our expectations, truly a night to remember.
WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE ELYSIAN!
We were surprised that pricing wasn't all that much more than mid-tier hotels in chicago. Guests loved the service/attention from the hotel, and the food was amazing. We recommend ...
getting a day-of coordinator if you don't have one. We didn't feel hotel staff was enough for the day (but also clearly not their job).
Best hotel EVER!!! Everyone there is SO helpful & it's beyond beautiful!! Couldn't be more thrilled with our wedding venue choice.
Let me just say that we had our ceremony and reception here last month and our guests still gush over how beautiful the wedding was!

egant, and Taylor Todd is amazing!
The hotel loses a star because they promised that our wedding day was OUR day, and they booked two other weddings in the building. I normally wouldn't care, but it's how they justified being the most expensive venue in downtown Chicago in their sales pitch and it would have been nice if they followed through.
It was really annoying to see two other brides and grooms getting their wedding pictures taken in the lobby when I was told we had to book the ENTIRE floor to have my wedding there. Apparently, someone else got to do a cheaper brunch in the same room hours before and another couple only needed to book a suite for the wedding night.
This place is exactly what we were looking for our wedding day. THe ballroom is gorgeous and smaller than most hotels which is nice and elegant. We only had 50 guests and the room ...
was perfect, it did not seem too small. The room Could probably accomodate 100 guests with no problem as there is an additional room with balcony that we only used as a lounge area. THe aesthetic is truly stunning and the service is wonderful. THe coordinators and coordinator assistants are excellent at getting back to you and making changes to any reasonable requests possible. I would highly recommend. It appears pricey at first, but you get so much for your money here. Please check out if you are just starting to check venues. We felt very honored to have our big day at the Elysian. Unique and gorgeous, not like any other hotels in the area.
