We booked our destination wedding when it was still the Mandarin Oriental, but it changed to the Waldorf a few weeks before our wedding and it was a seamless transition. After looking at other hotels nearby, we chose this Waldorf because it is the most gorgeous venue on the strip, in my opinion! The ballroom has AMAZING views, with floor to ceiling windows and a wraparound balcony overlooking the Strip. The chandeliers provided an impressive décor element, and the food was to die for! I also liked the flexibility of the function rooms- there are 3 rooms that can be divided or opened up based on your guest count. The location was perfect because it’s walking distance to everything, and guests could stay at any hotel they wanted. We stayed at the Waldorf and the rooms were so elegant and beautiful. The service was 5 star- Keri & the entire events staff were extremely professional and on top of everything. It was nice to be treated like royalty on our special day! All our out-of-town guests said this was the best wedding they had ever been to!
We had our wedding (ceremony and reception) at the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas, and I am so happy that we did. First of all, the venue was amazing! The view, decor, location, and balcony is what drew me to book the Mandarin, and I was not disappointed on our wedding day. The view of the strip made our reception magical, and I know the guests appreciated being able to take in the views on the balcony.
The food and service were top notch! We had many guests with food allergies and dietary restrictions, and the Mandarin staff did a perfect job of making sure that everyone was accommodated and got the correct food. I was very touched that they even made me a dairy-free dessert since I am very lactose intolerant. One of my guests said that she had "never felt so pampered in [her] life." We got so many compliments on the food after the wedding. I know I am biased, but I thought it was delicious. (I highly recommend the short rib, which was very tender and flavorful).
The thing that I appreciated most about the Mandarin was my interaction with Keri and the rest of the staff. I had looked at about 20 venues before choosing the Mandarin. A lot the hotels on the Vegas strip were very rude and restrictive. The Mandarin allowed me to use my own vendors and they worked with my budget. Since I live in Atlanta, this was a destination wedding, but Keri was flexible with my weird schedule and requirements. For example, she let us have our tasting a year in advance because we could not make it Vegas close to our wedding date. Also, Keri made me feel very special on our wedding day with all her sweet notes and small gifts, like a small cake pop surprise when we checked into the Mandarin.
Finally, I would like to note that the rooms at the Mandarin are the best that I have stayed at in Las Vegas. I loved how quiet and clean the hotel is. It is really nice that you don't have to navigate crowds in the lobby or inhale clouds of cigarette smoke. The decor and layout of the rooms are great.
Thank you Mandarin Oriental for making our wedding truly awesome!
The Mandarin Oriental was a unique and perfect setting. What sold us on this location was the private entrance for guests, the view of the strip from the ballroom, the terrace and the fact that we would be the only event for that day! The service during the cocktail and dinner reception was top notch. Our guests raved about the food!! We had several guests stay at the hotel too which they loved! Our guests did not feel like they were staying in Las Vegas! Overall everyone was very impressed from check-in to the actual wedding day. A truly memorable day.
We just had our wedding reception at the Mandarin Oriental last week. We got married at the Wynn and were looking around various spots to hold our reception. We finally found the Mandarin and after speaking with Ali, decided this was definitely the place. It was the best decision we ever made to choose this location. Ali was AWESOME to work with as well. We had a small destination wedding, with about 42 guests. Most had never been to Vegas. When they saw the ballroom, they were in awe of everything. The decor is beyond elegant, but the location and view is what really makes this place the best place you could ever dream to host your guests. The room is located right on the strip, literally. It's a corner room and You have 2 of the 4 walls with floor to ceiling windows viewing the strip at night. The best part, there is a large wraparound terrace so guests can go outside as well. The photos you and your guests can take out on the terrace are something you will not find anywhere else with views like this. We even had a cigar bar setup outside on the patio. Our guests all raved how awesome our wedding was. They all had so much fun. The food was also amazing. There's literally not 1 thing we would change even if we could. The whole night was perfect, you will make the best decision if you choose the Mandarin, trust me.
