Walnut Hill is the most beautiful wedding venue I have ever seen! There are so many different places you can get married, have cocktail hour & have your reception. Every guest at our wedding mentioned how beautiful it was. The pictures from our wedding are amazing due to how lovely our backdrop was all around Walnut Hill. Amanda is awesome and is super responsive and down to earth. She wants to make your day just as perfect as you do. I would totally recommend this venue there isn't one thing I could complain about.

Walnut Hill was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding. It has everything we were looking for with a gorgeous ceremony space overlooking the lake on the property, and a great rain-plan covered space that left us with no worries that our day would be amazing. All of our guests told us it was one of the most beautiful wedding venues they had been to. Amanda was wonderful, very responsive to all our emails and questions and gave the whole experience a personal touch that we didn't find anywhere else. We highly recommend Walnut Hill for anyone's wedding or event!

Walnut Hill is perfect. Having two houses (one for girls, one for guys) to get ready in is a HUGE bonus. The property itself is gorgeous and provided so many areas for great photos. Our ceremony was at the Lakeside Gardens and we were obsessed from the moment we saw it. Great rain plan areas too!! Highly recommend, we received many compliments!

It’s like raaaiiin on your wedding day. Yes it did indeed rain, but Amanda and her crew transformed my initial aesthetic into something even more romantic and beautiful. They held umbrellas over us the entire time we had to be outside and kept all the guests informed of next moves. The best venue and team to execute in any circumstance.

We had our dream wedding at Walnut Hill! When we started planning our wedding we had ruled out having an outdoor wedding ceremony, but once we saw Walnut Hill it was so lovely we had to have our wedding there! Amanda was so wonderful and caring throughout the process, which ended up being very long as we had to delay twice due to the pandemic so that my Brazilian family could attend. The estate house is perfect for getting ready in peace and makes a great "backdrop" for photos. We could not have been more pleased with our wedding and picking the best venue in the Triangle had a lot to do with that.

We had a beautiful December wedding at Walnut Hill, and it was truly a dream come true! The beauty of this venue speaks for itself and is the main reason we chose to get married here. Every single location on the property is gorgeous and makes for amazing photos. Amanda is so great to work with and will ensure that your wedding day goes smoothly! Through the craziness of the day, she was always there with a reassuring smile and kind words! From the moment we arrived at the venue to our sparkler send off, our experience was phenomenal. Not only was the actual wedding day beautiful and a breeze, but during the whole planning process Amanda and the team were always so helpful and easy to get in touch with. The property is spacious and beautiful, but planning a wedding is stressful so having a venue owner/team that reassures you and assists you during the whole process is so important and hard to find! I loved how Walnut Hill has so many amazing ceremony cites to choose from as well! If I did it all over again, I'd choose Walnut Hill, 100%!

We found Walnut Hill while searching for possible wedding venues for our daughter's wedding. Our daughter and son-in-law wanted an outdoor wedding with the flexibility of indoor space for dinner and dancing. Walnut Hill beautifully fit the bill. The Estate House, Estate Gardens, The Pavilion, Pavilion Gardens, and the Hill House are well appointed and the landscaping is nicely maintained. The scenery is naturally beautiful everywhere you turn. The owner of the venue is very easy to work with. She is helpful in providing information and assistance when needed. She went above and beyond in several instances to help us and her own employees. We are glad we found Walnut Hill. It is a beautiful place to host a wedding.

This review is long overdue & as we celebrate our One year anniversary tomorrow, August 7, 2022, I have all the feels as if it were yesterday. Walnut Hill is gorgeous, rain or shine and it’s staff is stellar. The owner, Amanda Peoples, is the brains behind the amazing experience and memories that will last a lifetime. Amanda was responsive, a great listener, problem solver and the absolute sweetest, charming southern gal. She connected us with the most important link, Walnut Hills venue manager, AKA the BEST wedding planner, Jacelyn, owner of Timeless Weddings. Jacelyn and I connected instantly, and when I met her assistant on our wedding day, I was certain, we could dance the night away because we had a solid team. Jacelyn’s creativity is unmatched! She will make Anything come to life in an instant and her energy is infectious (she loves the dance floor!). Amanda and Jacelyn both connected us with their preferred A-TEAM vendors, JavaRose photography, Under the Oak catering, I Do Cakes, DJ 360, Raleigh Trolley and Florist Linda McKinney. Along with our approved vendors Rolling Tavern Bar, Vintage Follies Photo Booth and Southern Charm Carriages we had an unforgettable wedding day! Amanda showed up on our wedding wedding day to ensure all was well and I didn’t have any last minute mishaps that needed to be addressed. Jacelyn, turned rain into Sunshine!!!! Our outdoor wedding, was affected by rain, and plan B was in effect, the outcome was spectacular. It’s as if she waved her magic wand, sprinkled a little glitter and voila, a dream come true, and the birth of our happily ever after and forever love. Our wedding team over delivered and our wedding day was a stunner. Not only is the venue itself top notch with plenty of options, the staff, the owner, ALL are some of the most accommodating and polite people you can ever be around. I would rate 20 stars if i could.

Walnut Hill is the PERFECT wedding venue. There are so many beautiful spots for ceremony and photos. You have the entire Estate House for getting ready, and Amanda, the owner, is an absolute dream to work with. My husband and I are so happy we chose Walnut Hill as our wedding venue, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how cool the space was. Amanda also is continually making improvements to the property. Between the time we booked WH and when we got married on April 30, 2022, she had the inside of the pavilion painted white (which looked beautiful) and built an outdoor chapel on the water. She really cares for the property and for her couples. We absolutely recommend Walnut Hill not only for weddings, but really any event.

As a wedding photographer, I see the ins and outs of a lot of wedding venues. This is one of the most not only stunning venues in the area, with multiple ceremony options, and one of the best venues around if it rains on your wedding day. They are one of the only venues that have the option for an outside ceremony in the rain, without having to flip your reception space & without having to add on any rentals, such as a tent. There are so many places for portraits, it's endless. The sun perfectly sets over the pond & treeline, creating a romantic atmosphere for your ceremony and cocktail hour, before the evening & party starts! There is so much getting ready space, room for everyone to breathe, have their space, and not be cramped into a small room. There is two houses, which you can even stay the night or they even have a weekend package. The freshly painted white interior of the pavilion makes every color palette pop, and photographers love all-white spaces for receptions! They truly care about all their clients. They are family-owned & family oriented. The owner, Amanda, knows all her couples by name and is the main point of contact throughout their entire process. It's truly a one of a kinda place & I recommend it to anyone looking for an incredible venue & experience.

Walnut Hill is a dream venue with the most incredible staff. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and has everything you could ever need for your event. My husband and I got married in September 2021 and we could not have asked for a better place. The house is stunning, the pavilion is beautiful with an amazing outside porch and yard. There are so many locations to choose from for the ceremony and cocktails hour (all equally beautiful)! The staff was incredible! Amanda, the owner is so responsive and helpful and just a joy to work with! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue. Our guests have also offered so many compliments on the location! My husband and I both highly recommend Walnut Hill!

Walnut Hill was an absolute dream as a venue for my June 2021 wedding and I truly cannot say enough good things about the venue and its owner, Amanda. She was thorough and helpful every step of the way through our wedding planning process and her passion shows through every time you interact with her. Our favorite part about Walnut Hill is how many different options there are for outdoor ceremony spots as well as the beautiful grounds, allowing so many different backdrops for pictures! There is truly something for every couple and it made our wedding ceremony more unique. We were told by so many guests how beautiful the venue was and how the grounds were so nicely kept. Picking Walnut Hill to host our wedding was the easiest choice for my fiancee and me and we would definitely pick Walnut Hill all over again!!

This venue is everything! I’ve always dreamed of having a outdoor wedding, and I felt really safe choosing walnut hill due to the many options of ceremony sites if weather wouldn’t allow the outdoor ceremony I had envisioned. I have had countless people tell me our ceremony was the most Gorgeous ceremony they’ve ever seen, and honestly it’s hard not to have a beautiful wedding here… the place is absolutely breathtaking! Amanda is so easy to communicate with & is there for any questions/concerns! The night of our wedding before we departed she hugged me… told us to be careful & that she loved us, & that just goes to show you what a genuinely good person she is! I will forever recommend this venue! It deserves all the hype !

I cannot stress enough how absolutely perfect Walnut Hill is! The venue is completely amazing. There are several spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception to take place. We used a different area for each and our guests loved being able to "explore" the venue by going to the different spaces. The staff at Walnut Hill was also exceptional. They were helpful during the planning process and have a beautiful venue with a lot of extras to offer. Our day of ran smoothly and neither I nor my husband noticed any hiccups - what more could you ask for! They have a projection screen to play a slideshow as well, which we were really excited about. Our slideshow didn't end up getting played for some reason (not sure if someone forgot or if our file didn't work or something) so if that is something you really want, make sure to stress that to the team. Overall, we had a great experience though! Included with the venue is the opportunity for a bridal portrait session and we ended up doing our engagement pictures there, which gave us a great idea of where we wanted to make sure we had pictures on the day of the wedding. The house is also exceptional and was perfect for getting ready. The bride and groom suites allowed us to all be at the venue with a ton of time to spare and the house is big enough that the boys and girls didn't run into each other at all! Amanda and her staff also responded very quickly to all emails which was really helpful during the stressful times. Definitely recommend!

I cannot speak more highly of Walnut Hill! Amanda (owner) and her team are absolutely phenomenal and created the perfect day for my husband and I. From the first time I met Amanda, she made us feel like family. She is so kind, sweet and cares so much about each and every bride and groom. She goes above and beyond to help out and make your dream wedding come true. We were one of Amanda's first couples to book Walnut Hill and after 2.5 years of planning, 3 wedding postponements, and a pandemic later, we had the most perfect day at Walnut Hill and it was all thanks to Amanda and her team! Walnut Hill has the perfect amount of Southern Charm and Classical Chic to it. There are tons of ceremony and reception locations on the property alone! We got married outside by the 300 year old tree and had our reception inside the beautiful white barn. I'm so glad we chose Walnut Hill for our special day and I would book it again in a heart beat!

My Husband and I got married here on May 30, 2021. We absolutely LOVED this location as well as the staff and owner of this venue. We had access to the entire property all day and we loved the fact that we could have the ceremony and reception all in one place. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and there are many different options to have a ceremony. The coordinator we used, who also works at the venue, was just BEYOND amazing and truly on top of every single thing to the smallest detail. Her and her team helped to make our day stress free. If I had a question, they would not hesitate to answer. We had so many people comment on the location and how if or when they get married that they would want it there as well. We loved it so much and if we could we would do it ALL OVER AGAIN. Thank you Amanda and Jaclyn for making our day so special!

Walnut Hill is the best venue! There are multiple places on the property you can get married, and all of them are gorgeous. We got married at the lakeside pavilion, which was so perfect! If you want to get married outside, you could do so in this area and have the beautiful backdrop of the water. It is covered, so you do not have to worry about it being too hot or rainy. It has fans and lights which make it so nice! All your guests, wedding party, flowers, and arbor can fit comfortably and look gorgeous. You can also easily live stream your wedding if you had to cut your numbers due to COIVD. The reception in the barn was so fun! It is a nice space, and any decorations or color scheme looks so good! I like how the DJ can be on the second level to give more room for dancing or on the first floor with all the guests. I cannot say enough how much I love this venue. Amanda is also amazing! She is so caring and makes sure it is your perfect day. She is easy to work with and very responsive. No matter what your wedding vision is, Amanda will make it happen. There are so many perks and amazing things about this venue I did not mention in this review. There are too many to list! I absolutely love this venue and the owner. I would recommend Walnut Hill to everyone!

This venue is jaw-dropping gorgeous, especially if you’re wanting the ceremony outdoors! My husband and I got married by the large oak tree and it couldn’t have been more beautiful! Everything about this place is perfect and the staff is incredible!! They handled so much for me and took great care of us during the whole planning process and wedding day!

Not only is the venue absolutely immaculate, but they are a joy to work with. We experienced several delays and venue changes due to COVID, and Amanda/Walnut Hill was by far the most KIND, accommodating, and supportive venue we had the pleasure of working with. They made the transition easy and provided a lovely venue and experience amidst the challenges of COVID. When we had a hiccup, Jackie (the venue manager) saved the day and jumped in to lead our rehearsal. I don't know what we would have done without Amanda, Jackie & The Walnut Hill Team. They hold a special place in our hearts! We cannot recommend them enough!

Walnut Hill is truly a perfect wedding venue. Between the spacious and beautiful house to get ready in, to the multiple gorgeous ceremony locations, to the perfect reception barn...it was exactly what we were looking for! There was off and on rain on our wedding day and we didn't stress one bit because of all the options on this property. There is a covered ceremony patio, a wrap around covered front porch, and a covered patio for cocktail hour. On top of all that, we got married during the Covid craziness and Walnut Hill was so wonderful to work with. They were understanding and helped us with the rescheduling and trying to figure out how we could still have the best experience possible. We have and will continue to recommend this venue!

I could not be happier with my experience getting married at Walnut Hill! It is an absolutely gorgeous venue and has several options for ceremony sites. The estate house is an added bonus and was so fun to get ready in. Getting married in the year of Covid added an enormous amount of stress to the planning process, but the owner, Amanda, and coordinator, Jaclyn, were so incredibly helpful, patient, and kind in helping my husband and I navigate which route to take. We wound up going from a large wedding to a very small micro wedding. Even though it was so different from what we had initially planned, it wound up being absolutely beautiful and so much fun. Everyone was able to spread out with so much indoor and outdoor space, but at the same time it didn't feel empty. Amanda and Jaclyn were such a pleasure to work with, and I honestly cannot recommend Walnut Hill enough!

Having our wedding at Walnut Hill was a dream. We booked with WH in January of 2018, and we have been able to watch the venue transform and grow through the months leading up to our wedding. Our original date was set for April 25th 2020 but due to covid was postponed until September 25th. Amanda (the owner) was seriously a shining light throughout the whole process but to have been so helpful in the additional 5 months that was added on to our time of engagement really meant so much to us. It is hard to plan a wedding but during covid times it is even harder. To have people working with you who are as sweet as Amanda really makes the process fun and worthwhile. We had a lot of uncertainties throughout the year of 2020 but to have WH be our venue and know that we could count on them for consistency made things a lot easier. Walnut Hill has several great options for ceremony space/reception space. We used the newer covered pavilion area because of rain for our ceremony and the barn for the reception. Everything was so beautiful and I am so happy to have been a WH Bride!

Walnut Hill was the perfect place for our wedding ! The best part about this location is the size (openness ) and the option to use the plantation house . There are several beautiful locations to choose from to get married , ATLEAST 3 locations outside , as well as a beautiful pavilion if you want an inside ceremony . Walnut hill is a naturally beautiful location including a big pond with a fountain and alot of landscape that was captured in our wedding photos beautifully ! Not only is this venue a beautiful place to get married , but, in my opinion it is also very fairly priced. Amanda the owner is extremely helpful, kind, and punctual. She helped us achieve the wedding of our dreams . Any bride will love getting married at the beautiful Walnut Hill !

Walnut Hill is the perfect wedding venue! There are so many different options for your big day and you can't go wrong! Walking on the property is like finding your own oasis in Raleigh. It is so beautiful and unlike any other venue we have found in the area. Amanda and her team go above and beyond for all their couples. We had our wedding at Walnut Hill mid-November 2019. It was absolutely beautiful! Amanda was flexible with us as we waited out the weather to decide if we wanted to have our ceremony indoors or outdoors. We ended up deciding to do outdoors by the pond, and it was absolutely beautiful! Having the fire on outside all day helped keep our guests warm. Walnut Hill is a beautiful venue that I would highly recommend! It was the perfect space for our day, and I’m so glad we stumbled upon this new venue during our wedding planning!

I couldn’t have asked for a better venue. The people there only want you to be happy and have the best day of your life. The fact that you have the whole house to get ready in is one of the best features. We never felt crammed, plenty of space for the bridal parties to get ready and spend the day. And the grounds?? STUNNING. The reception building? So spacious. We got everything we ever wanted at Walnut Hill.

We loved the venue and the staff! Our day couldn’t have been any more perfect! I would recommend this venue for either an outdoor or an indoor ceremony!

Let me just start out saying Walnut Hill is amazing! They are very accommodating, easy to work with, and will respond to all your question emails. They have so many different spaces you can use on the property it’s hard choosing. We loved it and would choose it again in a heartbeat!

BEST.HIDDEN.SECRET. From the second we met Amanda, we fell in love with her family & Walnut Hill. We had a list of venues to visit and Walnut Hill was the first one - we booked our date on the spot (it's that good!). The grounds are stunning and have so many areas for your guests to mingle (adios being stuck at the same table all night) - we had guests gathering in the grass half round by the lake, around the fire pit for a smores bar, and around the barn under their pretty lights. Amanda is a dream to work with - good vibes all the way! Her & her family were more than accommodating with our questions and requests - her dad even drove us to their yurts (which you can rent for the night before!) for our engagement photos. Seriously, we couldn't be happier with our decision - jump on this venue before it's HUGE.

Walnut Hill was a dream come true for our wedding day! From the day we met the owners daughter for a tour to the day we said “I do”, they were an absolute dream to work with. There is no venue in the Raleigh/surrounding area that offers all that they do for the price. This is the most beautiful venue that I have ever seen no matter the season or weather. Walnut Hill was absolutely the perfect place that I could have gotten married. There is a gazebo over a beautiful, serene green pond where we had the ceremony. The barn made for an amazing reception. We rented the venue for the entire weekend, which I highly recommend. The house on the property was amazing. My bridal party thoroughly enjoyed bonding and hanging out for one last girl’s slumber party the night before the wedding. Getting ready was a breeze. Everyone came to us (hair and makeup). We could go back and forth between the upstairs and downstairs. We would run downstairs to grab a snack or glass of wine and then head back upstairs to get ready where our makeup and hair stylists awaited. Everything was all in one place, which made it super convenient and less stressful on my part. Walnut Hill also has a plethora of places to get amazing photos. We did first look in the garden area in front of the house, formal family photographs at the front of the house, bridal and couples’ photos in front of the pond, moonlit photos in the gazebo and dancing with the barn as the backdrop. Words cannot express how picturesque this venue truly is. I have had so many friends and family talk about how beautiful the wedding was and how much they enjoyed the venue. Now let me tell you about Amanda Peoples, the venue coordinator. She is an absolute delight to work with. I booked before the venue was completely finished being built/landscaped. She answered my bazillion questions quickly. She always provided lots of detail and insight with her responses. She was flexible and patient with me in figuring out all the details to my wedding the perfect day. Amanda accompanied me to the vendor they use for linens and furniture. She helped me make decisions and lessened the stress of having to make yet one more decision. She offered to be my day of wedding coordinator and then partnered me up with a friend who had a bit more experience as a wedding planner. This worked out wonderfully as well too. Her dad was also instrumental in helping to set things up. This truly is a family friendly run business. I am so fortunate to that this family decided to share their property with others as a wedding venue. I hope everyone finds this venue as AMAZING and PERFECT as my special day was! Walnut Hill is a dream wedding venue, with an amazing owner. Amanda (owner) was so easy to work with. We were the first couple to book with her and you would have never guessed. She was organized, thoughtful, informational, and so kind. She was more than just the owner of the venue for us, she really gave great ideas for our wedding too. My husband and I saw walnut hill transform from the foundation/construction site to the wonderful venue it is today. I couldn’t have wished for a better place to get married.

We got married at Walnut Hill in May and had an absolutely incredible experience. The venue is unreal and Amanda is beyond helpful. It's such a beautiful place and the people make it even better! You can save a ton of money on decorations because the venue is naturally awesome. Definitely get married at Walnut Hill!

We loved getting married at Walnut Hill! We had our ceremony on the lawn outside the farm house and then did our reception in the big barn. The landscaping is beautiful and there was so much space for our guests to look around and mingle. We were worried it might rain, but Amanda reassured us that even if it did rain, we could open up the wall of the barn and do our ceremony under the roof with the beautiful scenery of the flowers and lake behind us. Luckily, the weather was perfect (like mid-70s in June?!?) and we had a wonderful time. We booked this venue before they were even done building the barn, which was definitely a gamble, but after taking a tour even then, we were sold. When the building and landscaping was finished, we were blown away by how great it looked, and our guests were also in love with the space. Having the venue for the weekend was also super nice - we had our (very small) rehearsal dinner in the farm house and got to set up the space the day before instead of worrying about it so much day-of. All in all, Walnut Hill was such a beautiful space with so many options to customize our wedding experience and we were thrilled to have it for the full weekend for such a good price. And we wouldn't have done it anywhere else!

I had my wedding in April 2019, and Walnut Hill was the perfect wedding spot. The location is gorgeous, and they have a large farm house that is perfect for prepping in. There were no mosquitos, and the temperature was perfect on our special day. They had an awesome sound system for our DJ, and a large projector. Amanda, Tom, and Lisa (the owners of the location) were super accommodating and responsive to all of our questions. The location is also perfect because it is a) historic, b) in a quiet farm area, c) only a 15 minute drive from Raleigh, and d) across the street from a farm with a few adorable oreo cows (although both properties are so huge that you will probably need to cross the street to be able to glimpse the cows). Overall, my friends and family were really impressed with the whole wedding. I think it was definitely the right choice and will be very memorable to them. The price is a steal too. My one recommendation for anyone planning their wedding is to stay at the farmhouse the night before, and rent the farmhouse for one or two additional nights. It's an incredible location. I really wish I had spent more time there!

I cannot speak highly enough about Walnut Hill, Amanda, and Jacqueline. To be honest, the beauty of the property speaks for itself and I was fortunate enough to secure the venue for my entire wedding weekend, which provided an awesome environment for me to socialize with not only my family, but also my bridesmaids. The venue has a spacious bridal suite, suitable for both hair and makeup as well as a groom's suite situated far enough away from the bridal suite that there was no fear of run-ins. I initially planned to host my wedding outside, but due to a chance of rain, we moved everything inside and it could not have been more beautiful. Amanda and Jacqueline made sure that all of my guests were comfortable and even provided a golf cart shuttle to transport guests from the parking lot to the venue, which was nice for our older guests. Throughout the reception, both of these ladies paid special attention to the bridal party as well as our guests and were so kind. If you want to get married at a beautiful venue with knock-out customer service, then I highly recommend reaching out to Walnut Hill. The experience was amazing and I will never forget it.

Walnut Hill is a spectacular venue! Great views with each of its on-site locations. For me, some of the wedding planning stress was alleviated because of how beautiful this venue is. Since most of our guests were from other states and countries, this venue is a great representation of the beauty of North Carolina. The varied backgrounds made for stunning photos, as someone who loves pictures, I am beyond pleased with how they turned out! Access to the farmhouse made getting ready on-site stress-free! My bridal party was able to start the day with an on-site yoga session, and begin into hair and makeup, and the access to the kitchen allowed ease for food and drinks! The groom and his men throughly enjoyed getting ready in their own quarters, air conditioned, with access to the kitchen as well. The Barn Pavilion was perfect spot for dinner and a night of dancing. We ended up having almost 150 guests show up, and there was plenty of room for everyone to comfortably eat and then dance the night away. The porch, courtyard, and gazebo on the lake were great locations for guests to catch some air and enjoy the calm while the Barn kept the high energy dance party- perfect location for all types of guests! Amanda is a true delight to work with! She is responsive, has a responsible team, and her knowledge with event planning along with Walnut Hill’s layout was so helpful with setting up our wedding. Choosing Walnut Hill for our special day was the best choice, we are so pleased with the cherished memories.

Amanda was amazing to work with. We had some issues the day before that were out of everyone's control and Amanda was amazingly flexible and helped us out! The Venue is GORGEOUS and our pictures turned out amazing because of it. They really made our wedding day amazing and we cannot thank them enough! Highly recommend to anyone looking to get married in the triangle area!

We were one of the first few weddings at Walnut Hill, and they are already doing such a great job! Not only was the venue exactly what we were looking for style-wise, but Amanda was so easy to work with. We absolutely could not have picked a more perfect and stunning venue for our wedding day. It is the perfect mix of modern-farmhouse, with such a beautiful white barn and plantation house that photograph incredibly. The site also has so many different options for backgrounds in photos which made my bridal portraits and wedding photos so beautiful. We rented the venue for the full weekend, so we were able to have our rehearsal dinner there. After rehearsal, I spent the night with my bridesmaids in the plantation house, which was not only a fun night with my best friends that made me so much more relaxed the night before my wedding, but we also had our hair and makeup artists come in the morning, and since we were already there we didn't have to wake up super early to get to the venue and start getting ready! The day of, the bridal suite and grooms suite being in totally separate sides of the house made things SO much easier on me so my groom wouldn't see me before the ceremony. Having the kitchen centralized in the house, we were able to have breakfast and lunch items down there for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to snack on while getting ready and before the ceremony. I cannot say enough great things about Walnut Hill and how happy we were with how our wedding day turned out there!

Our son's wedding at Walnut Hill in April was the first to use the new barn wedding venue. We cannot say enough positive things about our experience, and our dealings with Amanda, Tom and Lisa Williamson, the owners of WH. They helped steer us to great wedding planners, a rehearsal dinner site, etc. Because the weather cooperated, we were able to have the ceremony outside in front of the main house in front of the beautiful centuries' old oak tree. The wedding experience comes with a night for the wedding party in the two sections of the main house. There are separate bride and groom quarters, conveniently set up for getting ready for the wedding and taking photographs. The kitchen is fully equipped with plates, glasses, and kitchenware. The house is beautifully decorated, rebuilt on the site of the original 1775 farmhouse. It is surrounded by farms, "Oreo Cows" and "Jerusalem donkeys" across the street in a rural setting that is technically in Raleigh, but really a half hour east of the town. The "barn" was built this past year as a wedding venue, and has electronics, screens set up at one end, a kitchen, and 200 ft. of opened wall that looks out towards a pond, gazebo, two foot bridges, and woods in the background; the wall can be closed in case of inclement weather. There is also a second story at one end of the barn with a balcony. The interior of the barn is absolutely stunning with gorgeous chandeliers and strings of lights suspended from the ceiling rafters. Every detail is exquisite and in keeping with the elegant barn style country setting. The Williamson's go out of their way to make everything work smoothly. They recently invested a lot in plantings, sidewalks, an outside patio with a brick fireplace, parking lot, and a golf cart to ferry non-ambulatory guests from house to barn (less than 100 yards). This is a venue that the bride and groom, family, and guests will long remember.

The venue is absolutely stunning. Walnut Hill was so easy to work with and let us make our day unique to us as a couple. Amanda's help and suggestions made my wedding a huge success. I recommend this wedding venue to all brides for the most important day of their life

We were supposed to have our wedding on the beach but because of the hurricane we had to move it last minute and they were able to accommodate all of our needs. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a barn wedding. There are multiple places to get married at the venue with a ton of beautiful scenery options for photos. The main house is also a very nice place to get ready if you are looking for that option. It was nice that both of us could get ready in the same place. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it!
