We would give 10 stars if we could!!! We picked walter burke because of the very good pricing and excellent reviews, and we could not have gotten better service. They catered our 8/7 wedding, which was a destination wedding for us. Even though we did not meet in person beforehand, they were so helpful, even going so far as to help us figure out table arrangements as they had catered our venue before. Day of, they showed up on time, had 1 conversation with my husband, and we did not have to think about anything after that! They got everything ready and beautifully set up, plus all the servers were incredibly kind, and, of course, great food. Thank you walter burke for making our big day that much better!!

Walter Burke catered our wedding and it was the best catered food I’ve ever had. They were so amazing to work with throughout the planning process, putting together a menu that reflected exactly what we envisioned for the wedding day. We also rented glassware, flatware, etc. from them and it was all beautiful. The staff that worked our wedding was amazing, and the bartender always had a glass of prosecco waiting for my new husband and me :) We primarily worked with Alexandra and she was so kind and professional throughout the whole process. We felt very lucky to have Walter Burke cater our wedding and would highly recommend them to anyone we know!

Walter Burke did a beautiful job catering our wedding. Alexandra was extremely knowledgeable and organized. The venue we picked had many rules to follow and she worked with us every step of the way. Henry was our captain for the wedding day and he was always two steps ahead of us (even being so kind to bring us glasses of water as we made our rounds and signature drinks during our photos). Having a good caterer made our wedding run so much smoother, I would 100% recommend Walter Burke to anyone getting married in NM they were invaluable to us.

We used Walter Burke for our post-wedding brunch and they were excellent. Eduardo, the team captain, was exceptional. He was so sweet and attentive to our needs. The whole team provided a beautiful experience that was effortless and affordable.

Walter Burke Catering was absolutely fantastic. I cannot recommend them enough. We worked with Alexandra and she was incredibly knowledgable and helpful with planning our wedding. Their bartender, captain, and servers were also extremely helpful and tentative (even helping to arrange decorations and setup). Multiple of our guests commented saying it "was the best wedding food they ever had." Would work again with WBC in a heartbeat.

I can’t say enough amazing things about them. Stop your catering search now! They are fantastic to work with, the food excellent, but their service is by far the best! They went above and beyond on our wedding day.

I can’t say enough about how amazing Walter Burke Catering was for our wedding. From the beginning conversation with Angela, she was so easy to talk to, she handled questions and requests quickly and she made suggestions where appropriate. It was everything we could’ve wanted from her. And the day of staff...incredible. Our captain for the evening brought my groom and I appetizers immediately after the ceremony to insure we got to eat and one of the servers assisted our grandfather, unprompted, who would have otherwise struggled to carry his plate. Just a classy operation. Besides the amazing customer service, the food was delicious. Our guests were so happy and we loved everything during the tasting and day of. And all couples want to focus on budget! Walter Burke is so affordable and worth every single penny.

Angela and the team from Walter Burke catered my wedding in Santa Fe in mid-July. They were so wonderful – great people, EASY to work with, highly professional and responsive, and amazing food and service on the day of. Our guests were raving about the food. I honestly can’t say enough positive things about Walter Burke Catering. Angela also helped me find a *perfect* venue for my wedding when I had to change plans a month before the event! Walter Burke catered my wedding at La Mesita Ranch outside Santa Fe and it was an absolute home run. I grew up in New Mexico and wanted a caterer that could show off the local food to our many out-of-town family and friends. Alexandra worked with me to plan a menu and figure out logistics. I'm living in Germany and she made everything wonderfully easy / stress free to handle from afar. At the wedding, the food was delicious, presentation lovely, and the staff very professional - all orchestrated without a hitch. I had contacted many caterers before finding Walter Burke and as a final bonus, they were a great value. They served at a tough venue (had to construct an outdoor kitchen in a tent) and were able to do it all for much less than any other quote I received. They also were the most willing to work on per plate pricing so that it fit within my budget. I 100% recommend this excellent company!

Alexandra and her team were a dream to work with. We were planning our wedding remotely, so having an expert like Alexandra on the ground to give us great advice was a game-changer. Walter Burke catering was great to work with and very professional. They were a great one stop shop and did our catering, cake, bar tending, and linen rental. Most importantly the cake and food was delicious!

We used WBC for our wedding in Santa Fe this past weekend and they were nothing short of incredible. Actually, the entire planning process has been seamless. We worked with Angela Reece, and she is incredible responsive with emails, and she was great and patient with me through all of my changes! In fact, she helped immensely when I started to panic with prices, and she helped me out so much aweigh explaining and helping to craft a day that would fit our budget and still be amazing. And then on the wedding day, Walter Burke was simply amazing. At the end of the night I tried to shake every servers hand I could find to thank them for how wonderful it was and how much I appreciated their positive energy, attitude, and attentiveness! Susan, one of the captains, was incredible and made sure everything was perfect!! They also worked well with my family when setting up decor. All in all, everything turned out way better than I could have ever expected, the food was AMAZING, and it was all because of WBC. I recommend them to anyone in the area, a couple of my friends were asking if they did events in Texas!! That's when you know it's good. This company is amazing and make every experience personal and intimate. I can't thank them all enough!!!

Walter Burke Review Planning and Communication When we reached out to 4 caterers, Walter Burke was quick to respond. We requested an in person meeting, copies of potential menus and pricing and information about their availability on our requested date and information about whether they would be willing to work within the constraints of La Mesita Ranch's liquor policy. They were the only caterer able to respond in a direct and quick way (The Hilton at Buffalo Thunder had to create a new pricing structure for La Mesita Ranch....Hotel Santa Fe returned our 6th or 7th call and was in the midst of a staff transition...other places didn't return our calls). We met with Angela and planned everything out in an hour. She was patient with the small number of changes we made between the summer planning session and the fall wedding. They were patient with the difficulties we had finding a date for a site visit to La Mesita. Set up, take down They were super-efficient in the process of setting everything up and taking everything down. They brought everything they said they would bring and had 1 or 2 extra things that the property was supposed to provide but didn't. Beauty The event was stunning. The 50-person table was absolutely gorgeous. We provided our own flowers, conversation cards, votive candles, and table cloths (recommendation: rent the table cloths and don't spend hours of your life ironing). They set the table up and it was beautiful. They also did separate set ups for a cello concert/champagne event, the wedding cake cutting and a coffee bar. Food We ordered steak, salmon, a vegetarian option and some kid options. Our food was cooked perfectly, delivered hot and the quality was just what I'd hoped for. Personnel The event manager and the staff made a point of introducing themselves, they were attentive. I didn't see one person flagging down a server all night. They seemed to be everywhere they were needed watching for wine and water glasses getting low, empty plates, and empty bread baskets. Several guests made a point to ask who the caterer was because they were so impressed with the presentation, quality and the great job they did cooking. They were the easiest part of a weekend full of wedding events. The only thing I would do differently is rent more items and pay for more set-up from them and do less myself.

From start to finish we had a five-star experience planning our destination New Mexico wedding. We planned everything over the phone with Angela at Walter Burke as we were out of state. She was so flexible to every request and had fantastic food pairing suggestions for different courses. Our event was held at a magical Hacienda with our closest family members joining us for the weekend. Our wedding night was perfect! Walter Burke Catering has superior, professional staff, outstanding service, and a 5-star menu. Our guests loved the family style meal at a long table, beautifully decorated with gold chargers and different courses that came out over a 1.5 hour time period. This allowed for us to enjoy the entire experience by pacing ourselves and enjoying all the moments over dinner. The food was plated artfully and tasted even better than it looked, if that's possible :) The staff packaged all of our leftovers and we had a wonderful lunch the next day. Walter Burke- you are the best!
