MANGO PUNCH WAS THE GREATEST ENTERTAINMENT AT OUR WEDDING!! Walter and his band were absolutely the highlight of our wedding. They were so much fun and we got so many compliments from our guests about how much fun they were. They played music that got guests of all ages out on the dance floor and stayed there all night long. Walter was super engaging with our guests and even started a conga line with all 125 of our guests!! The videos online don't do this band justice, go see them live and you will see how incredible they really are! We could not recommend this band more for a wedding!

MANGO PUNCH BAND (Walter Sur) – SUPER AMAZING. If you are having a band at your wedding reception, Mango Punch will make the wedding “Magical”. They also provide DJ services. My daughter’s wedding was in Nov. 2022, and my guests are still calling me to tell me how much fun and wonderful the music by Mango Punch was at the reception. Many said it was “the best wedding ever” with one guest adding, “It was the best wedding ever including my own.” Mango Punch’s music knocked it out of the park! As the Mother of the Bride, you want the reception to be elegant, fun and perfect. The wedding and reception were at the Woodlands Country Club (The Woodlands, Texas). The venue was beautiful and it provides a “day of the event” Wedding Planner (Brooke Tyler). Although, she is a “Day of the Event” Wedding Planner, Brooke actually helped throughout the whole wedding process with vendor recommendations, food tasting, scheduling and answering any other questions you may have. On the day of the wedding, Brooke handled everything and was a Godsend. The Bridal party and I were able to enjoy the day knowing that all the details were being handled perfectly by Brooke Tyler. Walter Sur with Mango Punch is such a Professional. We spoke several times before the wedding on music selections for the reception in general as well as specific items such as the Bride and Groom’s First Dance, etc. Walter Sur made excellent recommendations on the timeline as well. Mango Punch played beautiful soft music during the sit down dinner. When the dinner was over and it was time for dancing, Mango Punch’s music was incredibly amazing. The dance floor was packed and the dancing was nonstop - continuous from the start to the end of the reception. Because of Mango Punch’s music, this was a wedding reception where no one left early. Walter Sur was spectacular in engaging everyone to dance. Guests and Family of all ages were on the dance floor laughing, singing and just enjoying this wonderful celebration of life. We could not have imagined our wedding without Mango Punch!! We had a vision for a high energy, FUN, every dancing out of their seat wedding, and it was everything we could have imagined. From start to finish, they had everyone out of their seat dancing and having the best time. They even helped my vision come true of having incorporating a decade era set. They take every detail to heart (from coming to see the venue and plan their logistics, our bride and groom preferences and the types of families guests/attending). The best! !

Walter is an absolute consummate professional and a joy to work with. My Latina bride and I (non-Latino) searched high and low for live music that could strike the right balance for our guests, comprising both Spanish and English speakers, and would not be prohibitively expensive. Going into the last two weeks before the wedding we were extremely stressed out. There were so many other things to plan: table numbers to make, place cards to make, menus to make, programs to make, streamers, arches, rose petals, on and on and on. . . we were pretty much resigned to the fact that we would just have a DJ for the reception and strings for the ceremony. This would have been a huge mistake!! We saw some Mango Punch promo videos and as soon as we got in touch with Walter, a huge burden was lifted. He was so friendly, patient, and understanding. We spoke with him a couple times on the phone and one of the most stressful aspects of the wedding suddenly became the most stress-free. He knew exactly what we needed. He helped us work out the order of events for the reception, asked if we had any special request, and then we just let him arrange the set list and did not give it another thought. Everybody LOVED the band. People were dancing with their forks and singing along while eating; they were on the dance floor before finishing their meal. The bride and I didn’t even eat cake and cake is her favorite thing. We honestly could not recommend Walter Suhr and Mango Punch more highly. Our only regret was that the reception wasn't longer.

I don’t know where to begin on how amazing Walter and Mango Punch made our wedding experience! I have been to several of Mango Punch’s performances but I have never been to a more perfect on than at our wedding! All of our guests have called me to let me know that even though it was a wedding reception, they also felt like they were at a concert and that could not be more accurate of a statement. Walter is a friend and I will forever recommended him and Mango Punch everywhere I go because they know how to throw a party and make you feel happy! Our day was perfect and it was thanks to Mango Punch and the hotel management for being so professional and making everything so outstanding. The reason why I loved working with Walter and Mango Punch is because they are so open to your requests and how to organize the music/dances/speeches and everything a wedding receptions entails. Our friends/family/co-workers have all called me to share that our wedding was the most fun wedding they had been to because of the environment and music Walter played and that should tell you how great of a group Mango Punch is! Mango Punch did an excellent job engaging with our guests. Walter was very professional and very flexible. We had multiple conversations with him about our event and types of songs we were wanting played. Our guests had great time. Mango punch kept our guests dancing until the end. We would highly recommend them and are looking to hiring them for future events.

I’d like to record our thanks to the Mango Punch band and to its manager, Walter Suhr, for delivering such a superb event for our daughter’s wedding celebration. I was really impressed for their professionalism, positive attitude, easy going, and wide knowledge of songs. They got the job done by having everyone on the dance floor. Walter Suhr and Mango Punch were awesome at our wedding! Houston was the "destination" for our wedding and Walter was easy to work with by phone and email before our event. Mango Punch clearly took our diverse list of music into consideration, as we had to mix the bride's American family with the groom's Mexican family. We never heard a "no" to any of our song suggestions. The day-of went really well with everyone on the dance floor, switching things up regularly so people could stay on the dance floor all night. The volume and lighting they had also worked well to make a dance floor area for the rather large size of our venue (Rice's student center) . Mango Punch was a highlight of our wedding and we would highly recommend them!!!

We had seen Walter and the band perform at other events over the years and had SO MUCH fun / were so blown away by their energy and talent that as soon as we got engaged we called Walter for our own wedding. And we are so glad we did!! Working with Walter was so easy and seamless. We sent him a few song requests to give him an idea of our vibe and he took from there. Our wedding reception was SO MUCH FUN. The band had the entire wedding out on the dance floor from beginning to end and absolutely made our wedding reception everything we wanted and more! Walter and Mango Punch were incredible. Better even than their local shows around Houston. They really understood the crowd and created an amazing feel all night. They also had a lot of surprises we never expected that hit perfect with us and our guests. Sound quality was also great! I can’t say enough how great Mango Punch was at our wedding, and I would recommend them to anyone!

I have received so many compliments from my guests about Mango Punch and how they were perfect for my wedding. I have a very latin family so they performed the perfect blend between salsa, bachata, boleros, etc....They didn’t just perform latin songs they also did some classics songs in english. I just can’t put it into words how much fun they are, you have to experience them live! Walter and Mango Punch can really read a room and hype them up! Im eternally grateful for them because they truly made my dream wedding memorable for my guests.

We booked Walter Suhr & Mango Punch for our annual award dinner at the PCOH earlier this year. Our experience with this band was phenomenal!! Our award dinner is usually on the boring side, with some speeches and then a boring jazz band...and the desert is the highlight. Well, that was NOT the case this year since we had Walter Suhr & Mango Punch perform for our group. I would have never known our members had this kind of energy. EVERYONE was on the dance floor. Walter and Mango Punch made it a very memorable experience for us! We had to drag people off of the dance floor because they did not want to stop dancing! If you are thinking about booking Walter Suhr & Mango Punch... don't think about it... DO IT NOW!! You will be so glad you did, and your guests will have the best time of their lives. I was blown away and would love to have them perform for our group every year if possible. I have recommended them to many friends already. They went above and beyond!!!! 5 stars is not enough!!!

Mango Punch is simply the best wedding investment you can make! Everyone will remember the fun... more than flowers, table cloths... etc. So professional, personable and respectful of all request! Gifted in reading the crowd and coordinating the evening events. Music was so much fun and the energy was contagious. Latin music , 80’s... all generations and cultures! Truly perfect for all!

We hired Mango Punch for our son's wedding, January 20, 2018 in Brownsville , Texas and I couldn't be happier with them! The music performance and song list was fantastic. It had something for everyone, and they were able to read the crowd and play exactly the song that would keep the party going. . They played a wonderful set during dinner that was perfect background music. Mango Punch knows exactly what it takes to make a great wedding, I received countless compliments on the band throughout the night and am still getting them after the event. Mr Walter Suhr was so helpful before the event and available for all my questions . I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this band for weddings or any party. Mango Punch was fabulous at our corporate event and the perfect choice to make our event successful. They are an extremely talented and professional band and played a variety of music from the 70's, 80's, 90's, current pop and Latin favorites that kept everyone on the dance floor all night. So while we were researching bands, we found Mango Punch and instantly knew they were going to fit our criteria. We were right! When we started planning our wedding the first consideration for picking a date was when would Mango Punch be available, because we had been to weddings and shows they had been at before and we knew how fun they were. They met with us beforehand to talk about must-play songs and the general type of music us and our guests would enjoy, and they made the entire set list from there. They kept our guests dancing until 2 am non-stop and everyone had such an amazing time, from our American friends to Hispanic family we had, they played the perfect mix of Spanish and American music. Our wedding was such a blast thanks to Mango Punch's expertise, experience, ability to come out on the dance floor with the guests and keep the music going and guests engaged, and personable qualities, and they made the planning easy from our end.

Our church hosts a huge annual event. Mango Punch played for the first time this year and really WOWED the crowd. They are fun, professional, and energetic. Well worth the money. We will be inviting them back next year!

Very professional. Communication was smooth and fun. Very fun group and great performance; however, too pricey. For whatever reason, the sound of the instruments could not be appreciated as much as we expected. But overall- it was a good performance.

Mango Punch played at our wedding at Las Velas on September 24th 2016. Walter and his band made our evening celebration very memorable and had all our guests on the dance floor until the very end! They interacted great with the crowd and knew what music to select - it was true entertainment. Walter Suhr was very personable and engaging when we started the planning process. He helped and listened in the selection of music and assisted with keeping the timeline of the reception. Mango Punch was AMAZING!! They had our crowd up on the dance floor until 1 am. They did about half Latin and half English songs and they are great at both! Highly recommend them to anyone that wants a high energy band for an unforgettable night

Since the age of 10, over the past 25 years, I have followed Mango Punch! all over Houston and, once, to San Antonio when they opened for the Barrio Boyzz. Having been able to book Walter Suhr and Mango Punch! for an event was a dream come true. Their energy is amazing and the ability to play to the audience is perfect for any event. It is obvious that Walter loves what he does. He doesn't just play music for the audience, but involves the audience in the performance. The band's original music is fantastic, as well as the range of genres/songs they cover. Walter Suhr and Mango Punch! is the perfect band for any occasion!

My wife and I had Mango Punch perform at our wedding this summer. Coming from a hispanic background and marrying into an irish catholic family, we needed the best of both worlds for spanish and english music. Mango Punch was the only band who fit the bill and far exceeded our expectations. All of our guests specifically mentioned how impressed they were with the balance and seamlessness of transitioning between spanish and english music. Everyone raved about how awesome the band was and how they livened the party! Walter was so engaging and made sure everyone was having fun. They even got family members that we had never seen dance out on the dance floor. They where even so accommodating as to let my dad sing a couple songs with the band. (Sort of a family tradition of ours.) I would recommend Mango Punch to anyone who is looking for a fun, lively, and entertaining band who plays awesome music. We had Mango Punch performing at our wedding recently, and I couldn't be happier with their fantastic performance. Walter is such a nice and friendly guy, he truly wants to make it perfect and involve every guest. All of our guests said how great was the band. We had a very mixed crowd of different ages and cultures, but they all loved Mango Punch!

Walter Suhr and his band Mango Punch did an amazing show for my husbands 50th birthday at House of Blues! Walter was very involved with the planning and set up and worked with the venue on lighting, sound and set-up so that everything was perfect that night! We had guests ranging from 9 years to 80 years and everyone danced and enjoyed it! Walter gets out onto the dance floor with the guests and really gets the party going. Even folks who don't dance ended up dancing and singing all night. Walter even helped us perform and plan a Flash Mob dance to Uptown Funk for a special birthday surprise. Walter and his manager Susana were easy to work with - always available and it was perfect. I would highly recommend them for any celebration!

Walter and crew from Mango Punch are absolutely incredible! They played for us until about 4AM - such a great party going during the reception. Mango Punch is #1 in creating a fun, party atmosphere. For the third year in a row Mango Punch! has won the Houston Press Music Award for Best Salsa/Latin Pop band in Houston. The lead singer Walter Suhr is very good at reading the crowd to know what to play next and they played a perfect balance of a variety of genres of music. He even had us over to his house in order to discuss what kind of music we wanted before our wedding! Susana Trimmer, the manager, was very easy to work with to book and work with the band.
