Warwick Allerton Hotel, Chicago

o hold the wedding in the groom’s hometown, we had a very tight timeline with choosing a venue. By chance, we wandered into the famous hotel with the “Tip Top Tap” sign that we had always wondered about and asked if they did weddings- they did! We were absolutely STUNNED by the beautiful ballrooms, elegant chandeliers, and warm service we received. From the beginning, Mina was super helpful and answered all our questions clearly and promptly. She provided thoughtful suggestions and honest advice to help us plan an amazing wedding in a tight timeline- just four months by the time we contacted her.  Wedding planning and tastings went smoothly and were super fun! The team at Warwick also accommodated my busy schedule super well. From the time I was a little girl, I dreamed of a cathedral wedding followed by an elegant reception in a penthouse ballroom in a city, preferably at Christmas. Every aspect of that was delivered on. I cannot put into words how STUNNING the ballroom was an the views- it was simply magical (not like a typical hotel/corporate ballroom), and Mina went above and beyond and made sure we had little Christmas decorations from her own house and a giant tree. She also found string lights and put in little decor touches that we didn’t know we needed, but enhanced the space. Cocktail hour was both cozy and glamorous. The bartending service was AMAZING- all of our guests raved at how kind and efficient the staff was. The bridal suite was gorgeous and comfortable as well.  Speaking of guests, the Warwick room blocks are a fantastic deal. My guests loved staying in the heart of downtown. As a bride, I loved hearing how excited they were to see the city and the location on Michigan avenue cannot be topped.  One of the highlights of the weekend was having everyone in one place and getting to take them around the city of Chicago- the hotels location facilitates this. Lastly, Mina, Christina, and the whole Warwick team facilitated the event smoothly and professionally. When no one in the wedding party could figure out the complicated bustle, Christina stepped in and made sure my dress looked fabulous the whole night, and I could dance! She did it so quickly that my husband and I were able to enjoy cocktail hour stress free. The whole Warwick team, including the bartenders, waitstaff, cleaners, cooks, and front desk staff are warm, personable, and incredibly professional and good at what they do. My husband and I could not be more grateful for them for making our dreams come true and truly making our wedding one of the best days of our lives. I would recommend the Warwick to any bride who wants an elegant venue that truly speaks for itself, a team of vendors that truly care about your wishes and go above and beyond on your special day, and an absolutely fabulous guest experience. 

legant and timeless reception/ceremony space. One thing we were apprehensive about was the food but wow were we blown away. Wedding food is not usually something guests talk about after the wedding but every guest has commented on how amazing the food was, especially the crusted beef tenderloin and the potato dauphinoise is a must. Guests raved about the food and we agreed. The manager, Michael, made sure our day was a success. We were extremely disappointed when the venue coordinator quit, but thankfully we had hired an outside coordinator. The venue coordinator quitting was the biggest downfall, but I was impressed by the Allerton’s promptness and flexibility throughout the rest of the planning process. The Allerton accommodated our requests and worked as a team with us. Jonathan was another huge component to our successful wedding day. He was there all wedding morning checking in with us and getting us anything we needed. He was a calming and joyful presence who I trusted with our wedding day. We can’t wait to go back next year for our complimentary anniversary stay!
