The Washington Civic Center was the perfect venue for us. The staff were all super helpful, especially ReAnne who made it all run smoothly and helped with any questions we had. The space is so beautiful and can be set up in a variety of ways.. we are so happy that we chose the Washington Civic Center as the space for our wedding day. It was everything we imagined and more! We highly recommend this venue!!!
This is the perfect place for anyone that wants a beautiful venue on a budget. You can’t beat the beautiful brick, hardwood floors, high beams, and location near the water. We rented the entire building for our Saturday wedding. We were originally going to do the two day package, but it didn’t fit without our budget and we had plenty of time to set up anyway. ReAnne ensured that we had everything we needed, was very flexible with us, and was very personable. We truly enjoyed working with her! The staff were very responsive and helpful on the day of - they helped with setup and breakdown. There was also funeral going on the same day, and the attendant made sure to block off parking for our wedding guests. The Civic Center is in a great location, away from the hubbub of Greenville. We are so glad we chose this venue and highly recommend that you book them if you have an event need!
The Washington civic center was the perfect venue for my 20th vow renewal celebration. The staff was exceptional and extremely helpful before, during and after the ceremony. They were prompt in responding to my calls and emails and allowed me to make changes all the way until the day of ceremony. Everything was beautiful and I will use this venue again for future events.
The office staff was amazing with letting us keep checking it out before the day so that we could visualize everything.
Awesome venue for weddings. Great staff. Awesome for pictures.
Beautiful venue!! It is an old Train Depot built in the early 1900's. The ballroom has exposed brick walls and the original hardwood flooring. It also has a stage that we originally were not planning to use, but turned out to be the best dance floor option ever!! It has an on site kitchen, large loft space, an art gallery, and many rooms to choose from for the engaged couple and wedding party to get ready in. It is right across the street from the Washington waterfront, which provided for some AMAZING post ceremony photos. There is also an old train caboose behind the venue that we took some photos at as well. The only downside is that it is a city owned property, so there are some restrictions. We had to be very strategic about how to do our lighting, for example. However, the price was the best my Wife and I could find, and it allowed us to choose our own vendors for all other aspects of our wedding. The venue does offer tables, chairs, and linens to rent individually or as a package. This was more convenient for us, since we did not have to worry about renting and returning to an outside source. Laura, our contact at the Civic Center, was friendly and accommodating. She was sometimes hard to get a hold of so, if you are not a patient person, you may find this to be frustrating. It is definitely a venue I would recommend checking out if you are planning to wed in Eastern NC.
Exposed brick walls and antique hardwood floors. Great stage for the band.
