He never pressured us to make a purchase and continued to help us even after buying the engagement ring when we had to get the setting for the diamond changed. of interacting with you. You get to know him as a person as he gets to know you and you feel comfortable communicating all of you concerns and desires. You have his full attention for the entire hour you are there at each appointment and he really cares about finding what you want and getting it done, and getting it done the best way possible. Yet he also has a casual candor that facilitates knowing each other on a real, human level and helps you get the best product even if something you want might not work. After shopping around at a number of jewelers, we felt completely confident that his place stood out. We had him create a custom ring I drew. He was really careful to talk through all the details and feasibility of each flourish (making sure it captures what you want but also ensures the structural integrity for a long-lasting product). He wanted to make sure the final product was up to his high standards. He even adjusted his standard workflow to what he thought would get the final result right, even incurring additional costs doing so. That was really impressive to me. He was able to work through the challenges of bringing our design to a final product in a way that created a positive relationship of respect between us. We were really happy with the ring we bought. I admire it daily and we’ll continue to go back to him. We felt motivated to do our best by him as he did his best by us. He was always gracious and professional.

cess through two secure doors to enter the establishment, we knew at that moment this was personalized service. We were met by Walter (sales person) who was very professional, friendly and informative, the level of detail he provided was exactly what we expected and more. We had conducted our own research and everything he discussed validated what we perceived as a quality diamond. The environment was personalized and intimate, the choices of diamonds was wide ranging but customized to our desire. The setting was perfect for display of the beautiful token of love. We settled on the diamond, it was presented on July 21st in San Antonio at dinner in a cozy, romantic restaurant. The brilliance of the diamond illuminated and was immediately complimented by the staff and other patrons. She said yes!! I immediately thought of Walter and the staff at Washington Diamond for making this special time memorable. Top notch service, quality and merchandise!! Definitely have and would continue to recommend this establishment for making dreams come true!!

I were trying to understand engagement rings and the various components of diamonds (cut, clarity, color, and the different scales). We had read some really great reviews about the time this store will spend explaining it all to potential customers, and the fantastic prices they have for the quality of what they do. It was such a great experience that when it came time to buy the engagement ring, my fiance went to Tom first (and last!). The quality is superb, and we both love that it's a small business that's been around for decades. We also love that they make everything in house -- from the ring itself to the setting. Their work is classic and still one of a kind.
When it came time to look for our wedding bands a few months ago, there was no question in our mind - we'd come back to Tom and the Washington Diamond crew. We love our wedding bands, and cannot WAIT to wear them for the rest of our lives (starting in September!). I've gotten two cleanings of my engagement ring -- which are complimentary -- since last February, and it sparkles like new every time!
I highly, highly recommend Washington Diamond -- so much so that I've already sent other friends of mine there to buy jewelry! We'll be customers for years to come, no question.
