Jake Sherman DJed our wedding and he was exceptional from start to finish. He was a joy to work with. During our first meeting, he clearly cared about our wedding and getting us the experience that we wanted. He also offered great advice - his tenured experience in the business showed.
Our guests loved our reception and complemented my wife and I on our DJ. Jake kept us and our guests dancing for most of the night, as we prioritized dance time at our reception.
I would recommend Jake as a DJ for any event.
Working with Washington Talent Agency for our DJ for our wedding was great. Their staff is amazing. We had to swap out DJs two weeks prior to our wedding day due to our original DJ experiencing a medical emergency, and the transition process was smooth. We appreciate both our former and new DJs being willing to accommodate our Zoom livestream equipment and giving us feedback to help shape our playlists. While we wish more of our selected songs were played during the dancing period, we appreciate that DJ Ralph abided by our request to read the room and play music that people wanted to dance to. Overall, we had a good experience in working with Washington Talent Agency and would recommend them as a vendor.

Washington Talent was very upfront about pricing, and gave us a few options to chose from. We went with DJ Dustin and he was amazing. It was obvious he knew what he was doing, and he was very kind when we didn't know what we were doing. He played things we liked, and didn't play anything on our "no" list. He had such a great attitude and it was clear he just wanted to make us happy. He also did a great job communicating with our photographer and caterer. My guests, especially my bridal party, keep telling me how great Dustin was at reading the room. He also laughed at my terrible jokes, which gets him bonus points.

We cannot say enough good things about Encore from Washington Talent Group!!! We just worked with Encore for our June 2022 wedding and they quite literally made the night. Every single guest who we spoke with after that night told us how amazing this band is.
Leading up to the wedding, Darrin, Encore’s band leader, was really easy to communicate with and spent time with us on the phone hearing about what songs we had picked out for our dances, what type of music we generally had in mind, how to introduce everyone, etc. Darrin let us know that they would of course learn our picked out songs and that they would feel out the crowd, tailoring music to our guests as the night progressed and getting a sense of what type of music our friends and family seemed to be feeling the most.
On the night of our wedding, Encore absolutely nailed our first dance, father/daughter dance, and mother/son dance. They played great music during dinner and then gave us the best dance party of all time! The dance floor was packed and everyone was getting so into every song. They are so fun, have such a strong, positive energy, and are SO talented. Each member of the band really is a phenomenal musician.
We feel very lucky and grateful to have found Encore and to have worked with them for our wedding. If you’re considering booking Encore, do it, it was one of the absolute best decisions that we made for our wedding!

DJ Jake was the first vendor we booked for our wedding and we are so happy that we did! You can tell just by talking on the phone that Jake is awesome, fun, upbeat and a seasoned professional. He was always available to answer any questions we had and he spent a couple evenings on the phone with us leading up to our wedding to set the perfect timeline, go over music selections, and just chat about our big day. We hadn't even met him yet and he felt like an old friend, which is such a comforting feeling when you have those wedding jitters. Our wedding was the best day of our lives and Jake was phenomenal! Everything was absolutely perfect. It is very obvious how talented he is when you look at the whole wedding day and see how he is able to flawlessly flow through the pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and dancing. Our guests were ready to dance and Jake brought the energy and was able to read the crowd and pick the perfect music to get everyone going. DJ Jake is one of a kind - you would be lucky to have him!
We loved working with Washington Talent! We could not have been happier with who we were matched with. We got Da Vinci strings for our ceremony and cocktail hour. They were amazing and so helpful and nice with choosing the songs. DJ Jake was our reception DJ and he was flawless. Purnell at Washington Talent is incredibly responsive and great with follow up – very thankful to him for getting us setup with DJ Andy Green. Andy was very responsive to all our requests. He got there on time, setup with no flaws, and communicated well with our other venders. He did have a hiccup with equipment connectivity, but handled it like a professional. He diagnosed the problem quickly, let us know what the problem was, how he addressed it, and what his backup plans were. It was game on the rest of the evening and considering how intense the dancing was, I'd say it was a job well done. If you plan to have older music (e.g. swing, foxtrot, etc.) you’ll want to provide a detailed list, because his repertoire is more of the modern favorites.
My now wife and I are both vendors in the wedding industry professionally, and between the two of us have worked well over 200 weddings. It goes without saying that we've come across many, many DJ's throughout the years, and choosing DJ Jake as our DJ was a no brainer. Jake was seriously incredible. From the moment we inquired with him, he was so fun, respectful and accommodating. He asked us all of the right questions, and made it clear that he was the man for the job. He was extremely detail oriented, and made the whole day about what would make US and our guests happy, rather than coming to us and saying "this is what I do and don't do".
Our 100 acre farm wasn't the easiest venue for our vendors coordination wise, and DJ Jake had to set up at 3 different locations, hundreds of yards apart. He showed up in more than ample time, with stellar equipment and had every area set up for success. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception went flawlessly. All 200 of our guests were tearing up the dance floor all night. We had a few "must hear songs" for the reception but trusted him enough to take care of the rest and he absolutely NAILED the vibe we were aiming to set. I can truly say DJ Jake made our big day so memorable. Both my wife and I will proudly be referring him to any and all brides/grooms we come across in our own businesses, as there is just nobody else I'd trust to DJ a wedding. Jake you the man!
I wish I recorded all the phone calls I had with DJ Marc, so I wouldn’t have had to waste me time arguing or writing a complaint here.
Two things went wrong with my wedding on Oct 12. First, I specifically requested cream-color up-lights because my ballroom has cream/yellow walls. I mentioned it at least twice in two of my phone calls with Marc. What we had on the wedding night was nothing like cream or yellow. It was a weird and tacky mix of orange and green. I had to adjust the light on my own to figure out what was going on. It turned out his up-lights didn’t even have a cream or yellow color. Had I known that, I would have rented my own lights, because the weird color we had destroyed the photos. However, Marc said he didn’t recall my request and blamed me for not putting it in the timeline. The fact is he never told me to put it in the timeline. I just know that I mentioned that I want cream lights over and over again, even my husband remembers it, who was also on the phone calls with me.
Second, the cocktail reception music was not what we agreed on originally. In fact, Marc and my husband convinced me to do Jazz music over the phone. I literally remember that I said I wanted something more elegant and classic because the string quartet would play traditional music for the first 15 minutes of the reception, so I wanted a smooth transition. Then Marc and my husband both said we should do Jazz. So I said ok. Then on the wedding day, I didn’t hear Jazz during the cocktail hour. Instead, he played something super loud that was not classic or elegant at all. When I asked him about it after the wedding, again he said he didn’t recall the conversation.
I am very disappointed at the lights and cocktail hour music. It would not have been a big deal had DJ Marc acknowledged that he forgot my requests and apologized, but he insisted that he didn’t recall my requests.
We had Marc from Washington Talent Agency as our DJ for our wedding. We were very excited to work with him from our first initial phone call. He was warm, easy to talk with, and we felt like he listened to all of our needs. However, I have to admit we are slightly disappointed for how things turned out the day of the wedding. We had strong ideas of what songs we wanted played for our ceremony and cocktail hour, which he accommodated, but he barely played any songs from our must play list for the reception. It seems like he has his own formula that he likes to use for playing music and it just wasn’t quite what we wanted. He did have all our guests dancing, which was great, but there were some songs my husband and I were really wanting to hear that didn’t make it. We would rather have danced to songs from our must play list like “Shout” by the Isley Brothers and ones that were special to our relationship over songs like Britney Spears “Hit Me Baby One more Time”.
DJ Andy was amazing for our wedding! He played just the right mix of more modern current music and older music. Also the right amount of fast and slow songs. So many people told us how great the DJ was. You can not go wrong with choosing DJ Andy!
We used Washington Talent for both a DJ and strings Duo and both were quite fabulous! DJ Rich was polite, eloquent and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long! The Strings Duo was so great! They made the wedding itself and the cocktail hour different and elegant! Love Love Love!!
We hired DJ Marc Wilner for our wedding and couldn’t be happier with that choice. He did a great job providing suggestions for the flow of the night, was able to adapt to our random and last-minute requests, and provided excellent music all night for all parts of the ceremony, cocktails, and the reception. We were worried with a wedding of just 60 people that the dance floor might be a little empty, but he picked great songs that we loved and the dance floor was packed all night! I have the honor of putting up a review for WTA and DJ Marc Wilner, who worked our wedding. The short version is stop reading and hire him now if he is available. All the reviews are true. The longer version is we were looking for the right DJ to make sure the wedding is a blast with lots of great music to keep everyone happy and moving. During our search we were eventually referred to DJ Marc. Doing the research we came across his page and tons of reviews for him. It immediately stood out that not only were there numerous reviews for him, but they were all perfect scores. The reviews made us hopeful that we found our person and we reached out to him. We got to experience one of the first great qualities for him in that he is easily reached and quick to respond. Almost immediately sent us a message giving a little bit of background info and we made an appointment to talk and ask questions. That phone call immediately sealed the deal for us and brings us to one of the next great qualities, he is extremely easy going and understands what people are looking for and how to conduct events. We had an amazing conversation about the event flow and what he does in order to keep that flow going the entire time. He is great about listening to your ideas, never discounting what you want, and works that into the whole event to make sure it goes exactly as you hope. After we hired him on, we remained in regular contact and he even came out to meet us to go over final details of the wedding. The wedding itself went off without a hitch. Great job with playing all of our song picks and incorporating additional songs to match the vibe we wanted. He helped coordinate things with the various vendors also. Everyone loved the event and conversations afterward from friends was that the energy and music were amazing from beginning to end. DJ Marc was phenomenal and cannot recommend him enough. Talk with him now and know it is one less thing you have to worry about.
Not to be punny, but DJ Jake rocked! From the first skype conversation with him you could tell he really got the vibe we were hoping for. He is completely dedicated to making the day perfect for his couples and his flexibility was such a help, from our adding songs at the last minute to him being willing to come early and set up lighting for our ceremony even though he wasn’t scheduled to start until the reception. Not only was he himself flexible, but he managed to seamless move from genre to genre in our eclectic list of song suggestions. The dancefloor was always full and ever new song was another hit that you just couldn’t miss dancing, jumping, and singing along to. I’ve never seen that many people make it until the very last song, but the energy was still going strong even at 10:30pm. Simply wonderful!
We had Marc Wilner, and he was great! He was very energetic and personable on the phone and always listened to what we wanted and worked with us to make sure we got it. During the cocktail hour, he provided music as a background (not sure what it was because we weren't there). During the reception, I think some of the announcements were not heard by everyone (ex. that crepes and photo booth were upstairs), and some of our must play songs were played during dinner instead of during dancing. Those were my only issues but otherwise everyone complimented the music selection and the dance floor was packed all night! Thanks Marc!
Ateet Ahuja was the DJ for our wedding and he was off the hook!! From the time we first met until the day of our wedding, Ateet was organized, prompt, and flexible. We had a mix of East-Indian and non-Indians at our wedding. He played a mixture of Indian and billboard music that we had requested. But more than just playing the music, he kept the dance floor moving as well and could read our crowd really since there was a mix of age groups. Everyone had so much fun at the wedding reception! I know you had a busy Labor Day weekend Ateet, but in spite of all of that you were extremely organized and did an outstanding job with our wedding. Thank you!!!
I loved our DJ father/son team led by DJ Carroll Higgins. They listened to our requests of what to play and more importantly what NOT to play and were able to read the crowd and keep everyone dancing. They constantly checked in to make sure we were happy on the dance floor. The only issue I had was that closer to the event, I had trouble getting in touch with my rep at the agency, but that seems to have been an issue with the contract department. Once I let my planner know about that, they were able to connect immediately and all was well. Lots of fun music and will certainly keep the crowd moving!
Carroll & Zack Higgins (The Dynasty DJ's) were really great! We hired them through Washington Talent to DJ our wedding reception and they also did the uplighting for the venue (Old Ebbitt Grill). Carroll was prompt in his correspondence and was helpful with music suggestions. We were able to make a go by song list but they are also able to read the crowd and make song changes to keep the crowd pleased. Carroll was familiar with the venue and ensured that the speakers were set up to project the sound optimally. The lighting was BEAUTIFUL and really made for the perfect ambiance. They even set up some extra lights to bring out the dance floor which was an awesome added touch. Carroll played the drums along with the music which was so cool! Both Carroll and Zack were super professional and were great facilitating timeline events, etc. Zack made sure to touch base through the night to ensure everything was perfect. I would HIGHLY recommend them for any reception or party that you are throwing. They were so fun to work with.
We had used Washington Talent for our DJ and Marc who was our DJ for the night was outstanding. He had everyone, young and old out on the dance floor cutting it up. All of my guests left with a smile on their faces and still dancing out the doors. Marc, you were the best.
Was simply the best. There is no doubt that DJ Andy Green had a positive influence on the final result of our marriage. He was constantly seeking guidance and sought audience input. It was almost magical how he knew what to play and when to play. He is well worth the price!
The Dj we used ws excellent form the Washington Talent. He was extremely presentable and professional. He also served as master of ceremones as we had no wedding coordinator. we did not need one with his professional experience to run he show.
