Washtenaw Golf Club

We had a spectacular experience with the Washtenaw Golf Club, as well as with Donna and the rest of the staff at the club. We live out of state and Donna helped us navigate the challenges with planning a wedding & booking a venue in a different state. She was very responsive to emails throughout the entire planning process when questions would arise. All of the staff at the venue were so professional and helpful, our guests noticed too as we received many compliments regarding this. Our wedding day went so smoothly thanks to the staff and Donna. The venue itself offers beautiful outdoor spaces that photograph great and the getting ready areas are very spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend this venue!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We are so happy and pleased with the service everyone at Washtenaw Golf Club provided throughout the planning process and actual wedding day. We only had 2 months to plan the wedding and Donna along with her team were so kind, honest, caring, and professional. The club is Beautiful inside and out! but what really sold us the most was Donna. The moment we met I felt her genuine care and concern to help us plan and make the biggest day of our lives, she talked me off the ledge on several occasions and just reassured me so much through the process since I pretty much knew nothing of what a wedding requires. The FOOD was AMAZING as well and Pricing was within a reasonable budget plus with a few added perks. I'm so glad we chose this venue and I will definitely be back for any future events!

Donna and the WGC team were absolutely FABULOUS to work with. From the very beginning, Donna was transparent and very easy to communicate with. Leading up to our big day, she went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and confident and had everything we needed to have the perfect day -- and it was! We received so many compliments from our guests on how amazing the food was and how beautiful the golf course was... a perfect setting for a wedding. We would recommend WGC and Donna to anyone getting married in the Southeast Michigan area!

Donna was enthusiastic and positive from the moment we met her. She made us comfortable and confident in going forward at Washtenaw Golf Club. We wanted an outside wedding, and she showed us what we could do and offered contingencies in case of rain. She immediately offered suggestion on how to set up the receptions. She was very helpful and easy to reach during the planning process and was always enthusiastic and helpful. During the food tasting, the staff made us feel like royalty, including a visit and discussion with the chef. The great service from the staff continued through the day of the wedding. From start to finish, they were there to help but never in the way. We received many compliments on the venue, the staff and the food. If we had to do it over again, we would definitely choose Washtenaw Golf Club. They were fantastic.

Donna made our whole wedding experience super easy! She answered my millions of questions in a timely manner and was always extremely helpful. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and we loved the venue! 10/10 would recommend!

The venue is everything you could ask for! The get ready room is amazing, there is a separate room for hair and makeup to be done which kept everyone from getting too hot! The staff was wonderful! Donna is amazing and quick to answer any questions you have. The food was delicious and the wait staff was very friendly and efficient. There isn’t a bad thing I could say about this venue and staff! My wedding day was perfect thanks to WGC!

We could not have picked a better venue for our wedding! Everything came together perfectly and we owe a lot of thanks to the team at the golf club. Donna was so amazing to work with and really made sure all our details came together just as we imagined. The rest of the staff took such good care of us and our guests on the day of. We truly couldn’t have picked a better place to have our wedding! The staff is absolutely incredible! Donna and Noah especially made our day an absolute breeze. Donna never failed to answer my many questions with quick replies, recommendations, draw outs, everything. The food is delicious and they have MANY options to choose from. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, and perfect for the best pictures! It’s spacious and the Sun room is beautiful as well. They truly made everything so easy for my husband and I to be able to enjoy our night. Thank you Washtenaw golf club for everything, our night was perfect.

My husband and I would definitely recommend this place for a good wedding. The director Donna was absolutely amazing, she was very responsive to emails and questions I had and helped us figured out everything including table layout timeline and napkin colors. The ceremony outside was absolutely beautiful and all the trees and ponds make for good photos outside. We are so thankful the rain held up. There's plenty of space for tables and everything turned out so beautiful. There's even an outside for guests to sit and relax in The girls have a very spacious space to get ready for the big day as well. I was super surprised how big everything was. This truly was a beautiful day and we couldn't of asked for anything better within our budget. The food and drinks were good and everyone enjoys their dinners.

The Washtenaw Golf Club is amazing for weddings! The food is great, and the wedding coordinator was so helpful. The golf course layout is beautiful for wedding photos, with different elements such as old weeping willow trees, a small creek, rock like wall, and others. I am very happy to have my wedding at the Washtenaw club.

I wish I could give Donna and the team at the Washtenaw Golf Club more than five stars. Our ceremony and reception went off without a hitch! Everything was so beautiful, so we'll organized, and as a bride I couldn't have asked for more. Donna went above and beyond in the two years we planned the wedding to make sure that everything was perfect. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. I had nothing to worry about on my wedding day other than to get ready and sip mimosas! Donna made sure that not just myself, but our entire bridal party and immediate family were stress free and comfortable throughout the day. Thank you Donna and your team! We couldn't have had the wedding of our dreams without you!

Getting married at the Washtenaw Golf Club was a dream. Our wedding was so beautiful and we couldn’t have imagined it any other way. Donna was so helpful throughout the entire process! We had to reschedule 3 times due to Covid and each time she was so understanding and helped us to get new dates. She made the whole process so easy! The grounds were beautiful and it really made for some gorgeous pictures. I definitely recommend!

I can’t express how amazing this venue was for our wedding. They did everything right. Starting off, Donna was so helpful with planning and preparing for the event. She was very friendly and receptive. It made it very easy to organize everything. We had a welcome party and our wedding here and both went so wonderfully. The food was so amazing for both events. Their hors d'oeuvres were fantastic - all of them, I especially loved the beef tenderloin crostini. For our entrees at the wedding we had Michigan Chicken and White Fish, both came out perfect. The venue space is beautiful and a fabulous backdrop for getting married. Our ceremony was outside and our reception indoors. The patios were really fun to go out on at night and when they were all lit up it was a like a dream. It’s a beautiful golf course, so it makes for really nice photos. On top of all this, the wedding packages are really reasonably priced, you get a LOT for what you’re paying. The service is also impeccable. Noah helped us so much on our big day and he did such an amazing job! We had the best day of our lives here, and if you chose this venue you won’t be making a mistake.

After touring many different wedding venues, we decided to have both our ceremony and reception at Washtenaw Golf Club and everything was perfect! The entire staff was wonderful throughout the entire process, especially the coordinator Donna! Wedding planning is never easy but Donna and staff definitely helped make it easier and we were incredibly happy with the way the day turned out. The food was delicious, and all the decorations were beautiful! We specifically were looking for a place with an outdoor area and Washtenaw had two. Our guests loved the ability to enjoy the patio all night. Even though the venue had weddings booked the day before and after ours, we never felt rushed and we were able to take our time setting up in the morning. Overall we were very pleased with how everything came out and we could not recommend Washtenaw Golf Club more.

Overall everything was pretty great. Donna, who was our contact, made sure we had everything ready to go. She was very knowledgeable not only when it came to the wedding but also as to what we would need. The staff that was on hand was great and professional. As for the venue, the gold course was great! We had great views and a great area to get pictures from. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

It was such a pleasure to work with Donna planning my son’s wedding reception at the Washtenaw Golf Club. She was amazing! Donna is a pro at helping you go through all of the many things that go into making a reception successful. The reception was gorgeous and a wonderful night. All of the staff were courteous and attentive and the evening was virtually effortless. I will definitely be using Washtenaw Golf Club for any receptions I host in the future.

We had both our wedding ceremony and reception at the Washtenaw Golf Club. Everything went perfectly and we and all of our guests LOVED everything about it. The food was delicious, the event went off without a hitch, and we are so happy we had our wedding here. We originally had our wedding planned for 2021, but when we decided to delay our wedding a whole year due to COVID, Donna was SO helpful and flexible and made everything so easy and as stress free as possible. She was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process, answered all my questions, and was so flexible with us which I am so thankful for. I couldn't recommend this venue enough!

Donna and her team are AMAZING! From the first visit to the wedding Donna was there every step of the way and was so incredibly helpful and friendly. We had been to several other venues before we went to Washtenaw and they were all very cut and dried. We came in for a tour of the venue and met with Donna. She didn't just take us on a tour of the venue, she painted the picture every step of the way and made us envision everything! When we left that day we looked at each other and asked if we had just found our venue. We went to several other places after we went to Washtenaw and just kept comparing everywhere else to Washtenaw! I wanted to have our wedding somewhere that didn't have a million other events going on at the same time and have strangers crashing our wedding and drinking our bar! You are the only event going on at Washtenaw! We also wanted somewhere that we could have both the ceremony and reception at one location. They have a beautiful gazebo where you can get married and they add a little special touch by inserting a piece into the middle with your name and wedding date on it! There are several amazing places on the property to take pictures They were wonderful and the best part was we really didn't have to upgrade anything! their standard package was pretty much everything that we wanted. If your looking for the perfect venue look no further than Washtenaw Golf Club you will NOT be disappointed! I can not say enough good things about Donna and her team!

Washtenaw Golf Club was a fantastic venue for our wedding. The outdoor ceremony setting with the gazebo was lovely, although, we had to make a last minute change to do the ceremony indoors due to weather, and having the ceremony in the sunroom adjacent to the banquet area was still amazing. Donna, the coordinator, was responsive to emails and extremely helpful along the way, from agreeing to do a Zoom tour (we planned the wedding from across the country) to helping us through the rehearsal ceremony and last minute changes. There are three minor criticisms that we have, that are not worth knocking off a star over. First, the sirloin steak and chicken breast dishes were a bit inconsistent (some guests had perfect dishes, while others mentioned that they turned out overcooked and dry). Second, the venue told that our florist's arch would fit in the ceremony area, but then day-of, our florist ran to us saying that it didn't fit after all and we had to shuffle things around the morning of the ceremony (all turned out okay, but this added some stress). Third, the venue's provided chairs were a bit "conference room"-like, and the provided chair covers were not to our taste. We ended up paying an outside vendor for chairs. These minor things, though, did not take away at all from our lovely experience with having our wedding here. Many guests mentioned that it was their favorite wedding they had ever been to, and I don't think you could ask of anything more from a wedding venue. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Washtenaw Golf Club.

Our experience with Washtenaw golf club, and Donna Hatch was great from the beginning to end. Donna was so flexible with my indecisiveness with venues due to covid restrictions before they were lifted. Donna helped with every step along the way until our big day. Everyone at the venue was so personable to guests and everyone raved about the food. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.

The Washtenaw Golf Club went above and beyond our expectations for our wedding at the end of July. Donna and her team were so helpful and friendly. Due to COVID restrictions the plan for our wedding was in question for some time, however Donna helped us through every step and helped us create back up plans and support. We were so grateful that we got to have our wedding inside the club, the venue was beautiful and everyone raved about the food, especially the filet mignon. The grounds are decorated beautifully and provide a great back drop for photos as well. I can't thank everyone at Washtenaw Golf Club enough for helping make our day so special!

My husband and I looked at multiple venues before falling in love with the Washtenaw Golf Club. We wanted an outdoor ceremony with the reception space at the same location. We loved the landscaping and the layout of the venue. I have a few relatives in wheelchairs and the venue was very accommodating. Donna is wonderful to work with. She is very honest and upfront about thing and was very welcoming to any questions or ideas I ran past her. She made many great suggestions as well and helped us secure many great local vendors. Overall all of the staff was amazing and very polite and we could not have imagined a better place to have our special day!

I will start by saying I don't write reviews typically but I had to share my experience with this venue. I don't know how to put into words how perfect my wedding was and can't stop thinking of that day and how things went. I truly felt like a princess. I had my wedding 4/24/2021 at Washtenaw Golf Club and worked with Donna the entire time. Donna executed my vision perfectly and was a major help to me in the planning process and for that I am forever grateful. The food was amazing. The salad was fresh and tasty. The chicken was tender, the beef entrée was tender the vegetables were cooked to perfection and my guest were wowed with how great the food was and raved about how good it was. The team was professional and extremely helpful. The set up for the reception was perfect and set up exactly as I described in my plan. The team went above and beyond my expectations and made me feel relaxed and like a princess. I have not regrets or complaints about my wedding day because it was that perfect (the groom thought so also). It rained on my wedding day and Donna quickly pivoted from an outdoor ceremony to an indoor ceremony and it went off without a glitch. The indoor ceremony was in the perfect spot and still turned out amazing. Everyday I look back and say wow, my wedding was perfect and went just like we planned it. If you are looking for a place to have your wedding, reception or just an event please consider Washtenaw Golf Club. You won't regret it and I'm positive that Donna can help you plan the perfect event. Washtenaw Gold Club Ypsilanti has spacious and elegant venues with a nice entrance and beautiful gardens. The team was very professional, helpful, and flexible. The food was delicious.

Washtenaw Golf Club was so helpful every step of the way in our planning process. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They catered to us on the day of with everything we could've ever needed and more, down to discreetly getting us another drink and making our plates for us at dinner so we could mingle. They ran everything perfectly from start to finish and we could not have asked for a better place to have our special day. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

I personally work in the banquet industry and let me tell you, they nailed every part. From the moment we went forward with their venue, to the last second of the wedding reception, everything was perfect. Donna, Tim, and the banquet staff were so easy to work with and made the whole experience so stress free. Me and my wife had such a perfect day and they played a huge role in that.

Vendor overall experience was amazing, from the staff, to the catering, to the support from all the workers, and just the overall experience and scenery was awesome.

Fantastic wedding venue Review of Washtenaw Golf Club We had our wedding in Ypsilanti in Sept 2019 and were blown away by the overall experience. The venue itself was exactly what we were looking for in terms of food, atmosphere, scenery and overall experience. Bride and bridesmaids had sole use of the women locker room. The room was huge an accommodated for every need. There before the yes menu was reasonable and delishious. Donna and the rest of the staff were nothing but helpful from start to finish and we can't praise them enough. As a wedding venue we couldn't fault anything. The food was out of this world and all our guests commented on the quality of food . As well as the decorations and set up of the venue.

The Washtenaw Golf Club was absolutely amazing! My wedding day was stress free and it was all because of this wonderful venue! Donna was in contact with me every step of the way throughout my planning process and worked with me being hours away. The staff day of the wedding was attentive, and treated all of us amazingly, making sure we had everything we needed! Choosing Washtenaw Golf Club to be our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we've ever made. - Convenient location and beautiful view As we're both U of M students, the golf court location was just off the campus so it was very convenient for our friends to come. There were also many hotels around so our friends from out-of-state could stay and had fun. The course golf has many beautiful views that you can take photos and leave great memories. We had our first look under the weeping willow and took photos standing on the bridge. The photos were amazing. - Food and Reception The food was great!!! We had our tasting and the food was literally a big surprise to us!!! We chose the salmon with the asparagus and all of the guests enjoyed! They also offer vegetarian and gluten-free options. We are all very satisfied with the entire reception services and how they arrange the ballroom. - Very professional and warm-hearted staffs The manager, Donna, is so amazing that she literally helped us designing the entire wedding. We didn't attend many weddings before and we also didn't hire a wedding planner. You can imagine how hard it could be for two full-time international students with zero experiences to plan their own wedding! Donna organized meetings with us to went over all the services, procedures, recommended vendors, food, and even decorations. She was very considerate and professional and gave us many many many suggestions and advice based on her experiences. Especially on our wedding day, we were both very nervous and she tried her best to calm us down and guarantee everything went perfect. Thank you again for all the help! Highly recommend to every couple who will get married at Ann Arbor!!

The wedding venue is beautiful with access to two separate patios and views of the well-landscaped golf course. Donna was very helpful in organizing leading up to the reception and the service during the event was exceptional. As the bride, I did not have to lift a finger during the reception. The guests raved about the food as well and the bartenders did not skimp on the beverages!

Donna and her crew were excellent. They went above and beyond in both the planning and execution of the ceremony, reception and brunch the following morning. My husband and I were catered to all evening and were never in need of anything throughout our event. I would recommend them to anyone looking for awesome service and attention to detail.

WGC was awesome! My husband and I contacted them about 2 months before our wedding, and they were more than willing to let us use their place as reception venue despite the time crunch. The space can fit about 150 people, and the dance floor is a little small, but it was big enough in our case. Everyone had fun dancing. WGC is a beautiful place to take your wedding pictures. Their willow tree, bridge, and gazebo, and pond made our pictures stunning! Also, WGC let us use the golf carts for the entire wedding party, photographer, and videographers so we can move around easier. That was really nice for me because it was hard to move around in my heavy dress. Donna and the entire staff were so friendly, and Donna was one of the best event coordinator I've ever met. She was such a huge help for organizing our reception schedules and orders; she was very accommodative to make sure my husband, guests and I would fully enjoy the wedding. Their food was super awesome. Almost every guests loved the food. The staff was so accommodating. Two of my guests sent the food back to the kitchen because of their dietary issues, and they remade the meal for them. Also, a lot of the people sent steak back to the kitchen because it was too rare for them, but the staff were more than happy to cook them more so the guests could enjoy. Also, even though they don't have a separate room for the kids to play, they have such an awesome kids meal. It was a hit for all the kids who were at the wedding. So I highly recommend WGC. My husband and I couldn't have imagined any better venue.

Just had our wedding at the Washtenaw Golf Club on 8/18/18 and it was absolutely perfect. The staff was great and so friendly! We had so many compliments from our guests about the delicious food and beautiful location. Couldn't have been happier with the venue we chose for our big day!!!!!

This place is gorgeous is the summer! They have creeks, wooden bridges and huge willow trees that all perfect for wedding photos. The staff were very helpful during the entire process. Donna helped us a lot for wedding planning and she put in a ton of effort coordinating with all the wedding venues. On the wedding date, they provided free golf carts for us to wander around and take pictures. There was even help for my groomsman tying his bow-tie!

My husband and I got married at Washtenaw on 7/7/18 and had an amazing time! Donna was extremely helpful throughout the whole process and was easy to contact whenever we had questions. The day of the staff was kind and very accommodating and they kept the day running smoothly. The food was delicious and everyone was very happy with the bartenders. I would highly recommend anyone to get married here!!

We had our wedding here on 10/14/17 and it was amazing. We booked it for the beautiful course, my wedding photos were really important to me, and there are tons of great photo opps near the club house: ponds, bridges, willow trees, etc. The ballroom is a bit plain but I didn't mind because it took on the soft and romantic vibe we were going for with all the decorations we brought in and looked gorgeous. When it started pouring rain before our outdoor ceremony the staff bent over backwards to do it inside on time. Guests came up all night saying it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. All 130 steaks came out hot and a perfectly pink in the middle, very impressed. Our big splurge was on a dessert table they offered with cookies, bars, and brownies and it was the highlight of the night. They even took care of one of my guests with severe food allergies. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone!!

Washtenaw was the location my husband and I used for our wedding ceremony and reception. It was the best decision we made for our wedding. Donna was very helpful throughout the entire process and was there every step of the way. Everything was absolutely beautiful. The venue was very accommodating with all our needs and the staff was very quick to attend to anything we needed. We had endless compliments on the food and everything went very smoothly. I would highly recommend this venue if you are considering them!

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Washtenaw Golf Club- A Polo Fields Property this weekend and I have to say, it well exceeded expectations. The staff was so friendly and so attentive- they took care of not only the wedding party, but our guests for the entire evening. We are so grateful and lucky to have had the opportunity to work with that team; they honestly took every concern and removed it from our minds, it was such a relief. The dinner and desserts were amazing, the set up and take down for our ceremony and reception were flawless. We used the Mixed Grille for the ceremony and afterwards, took a few pictures outside, in the 10 minutes we were outdoors, the ceremony area was entirely taken down and ready for the next part of the evening. I don't have a single negative thing to say about them and would recommend them to absolutely anyone. What an incredible venue!

We were married on 9.3.16 and it was literally the most perfect day ever! I am so thankful we chose Washtenaw Golf Club as our ceremony/reception venue. The grounds are gorgeous and I just love the gazebo we were married in! The food was AMAZING as well as the service! People are still raving it was the best meal they've ever had at a wedding! It always makes you feel good when people still talk about your wedding weeks after. They were very accommodating to a few extra surprises we had throughout the night. Tim & Ryan made sure we were well taken care of while getting ready and as well as all through the night. THANK YOU for making this the best day ever!!

The Washtenaw Golf Club was a beautiful backdrop for our wedding. We absolutely loved the ceremony space as well as the reception ballroom. From our first visit, we knew this was the location for our special day. The staff is AWESOME. I can't say enough good things about Donna who was the sales rep/event coordinator who helped us plan our wedding. I really appreciated her advice and feedback throughout the process. She was also very attentive - quick to respond to emails/phone calls and answered all of my questions, no matter how many I had! I was nervous that she would not be at the event on the day-of, but the staff onsite quickly put me at ease. Everyone was helpful and responded to any request we had. The wait staff were polite, courteous, and wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time, being served and getting what they needed. The main coordinator, Thomas, checked in with me and my parents a number of times during the event to see if we needed anything too. The food is also excellent. We had a buffet and there was more than enough and everything was kept warm. We received so many compliments. I am so happy we chose this location (after looking at many in the area). We look forward to coming back in the future to celebrate our anniversary with a meal at the Dining Room.

We held our wedding at this location in May. The staff is very responsive and caterers to your needs. They are very helpful in asking the right questions to determine the best set up, timing, menus, etc. The food was outstanding! Everyone that attended our wedding said that the food was not the normal "wedding food". When you hold your event here, it's exclusively yours for the evening. The golf course backdrop is wonderful for pictures. If I had to pick a place all over again, I would not change my decision.

This was by far the best choice for our wedding. We have been getting tons of compliments on the food, service, and location.. I would highly recommend here.

I recently hosted my wedding ceremony and reception at Polo Fields Washtenaw. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Catering Manager, Chris Chalmers, to plan my special day. Overall, Chris was very accomodating to my special requests and I was able to stay under budget! We served the Michigan Chicken entree and the meal was served hot to all guests. Not one guest complained their meal was cold. I loved the dish and wish I could bottle the sauce to serve at home! The Banquet Managers and waitstaff were all friendly and professional in appearance. Their outstanding customer service truly contributed to the success of our reception. My husband and I were made to feel especially important while at our reception. The banquet managers and waitstaff were constantly checking on us and offering to get us any beverages that we requested. (We hardly drank any alcohol the whole evening - we had plenty of fun remaining sober and taking the evening's events in!) The dining room is very plain, but that is what I liked most about it. What made the room look incredible, were the decor items we provided. I rented a gorgeous specialty linen, asked my florist to provide a few centerpieces with some height, and also rented chiavari chairs. These elements were all an extra cost, but were worth it as the room looked stunning in the end. I furthermore appreciate that the staff at Polo Fields was very accomodating on the day of our wedding to allow us to make a last minute call as to where to host our on-site ceremony. We were hoping to host an outdoor ceremony but were cursed with an extremely hot and humid day. We ultimately, made a call just hours before the ceremony was set to begin, to move the ceremony indoors. The Polo Fields staff had no problem with this last minute call and though the indoor ceremony space was a little tight for 170 guests - it worked out beautifully. (Guests later told me they appreciated how intimate the ceremony was!) I have very few criticisms of the venue. I thought I was charged a little high on the price of purchasing some specialty liquor items and beers that were not included in my package. However, when you take into consideration the value of some other items I received, they kind of cancel each other out. For example, many venues will charge a labor to charge to move out their house banquet chairs to accomodate rental chairs - Polo Fields did not. All in all, my husband, our guests, and I had a wonderful time at both our ceremony and reception! I would recommend The Polo Fields Washtenaw to any bride looking for a wedding venue with an on-site ceremony option in the Ann Arbor area! Thanks again, Polo Fields!
