Waterville Estates

I loved the venue as it was the perfect back drop for what I had envisioned for my wedding. The foliage, pond in the background and general grounds where the ceremony was held was beautiful. The fireworks display was phenomenal and the food was outstanding. The package we bought included cake, dj, fireworks, food, accommodations for the weekend for Bride and Groom and photographer. The cake, dj and photographer are all outside vendors that the venue contracts with.. There was still a lot I had to do aside from that which I wasn't anticipating. The cake was disappointing - dry and crumbly (outside vendor) and I received feedback from guests that the cupcakes were disappointing as well. I felt that the photographer should have provided more direction during the picture taking and offer suggestions for pictures and backdrops. His idea for a Photo Booth was using the closet with a curtain hung up for the backdrop. So, I ended up hiring a Photo Booth for an additional cost. The DJ was wonderful and so helpful and attentive. The wedding coordinator, Heather, was very helpful and I give her A++ for effort, however I feel she wears too many hats. I feel the venue would benefit in hiring an assistant coordinator or additional help so that Heather is able to fully focus in this area. I felt bad for "bothering" her at times because I knew that she was busy with so many roles there. There were delays in responding at times when she was busy with other roles, but was extremely responsive when she was able to focus on assisting with the wedding planning only. As a bride, you really need someone to be responsive and readily available to assist with the planning and provide suggestions. Heather is very good at what she does, however, I feel they have her stretched too thin. Overall, everything came together and I had the wedding that I dreamed of. I would recommend this venue to my friends or family.
