About this vendor
With wild and elegant gardens that inspired Teddy Roosevelt’s lifelong passion for nature; Wave Hill is an estate that played host to such residents such as Mark Twain and Arturo Toscanini; boasting spectacular views of the Hudson River and New Jersey Palisades. Wave Hill offers the most romantic setting in New York City for your unforgettable wedding.
Your ceremony takes place at the Pergola on the Great Lawn, with your cocktail hour either there or moved to the Lower Lawn or Kate French Terrace at historic Wave Hill House. The seated dinner is held in Armor Hall, which has a capacity capped at 130 guests, including a small band and dance floor in the Hall. If you choose to locate the dance floor nearby in the adjacent Mark Twain Room, the capacity is then 180 seated guests.
Weddings at Wave Hill take place only in the evening, with guests arriving after the gardens have closed to the general public at 5:30pm. Only one evening event is booked per date to ensure your event’s exclusivity. Renting Wave Hill for a private weekend event requires a Wave Hill Membership at the $10,000 level. The tax deductible portion is $9,748, and provides the wedding host with one year of Member benefits at this special level. In addition to Membership, the rental fee for a private evening event on the weekend is $8,000. Guest arrival begins at 6pm with departure at midnight.
Wave Hill’s exclusive caterer, Great Performances, is dedicated to collaborating with you to create a personalized, quality experience for your guests. Passionate about culinary presentation, tastes and flavors that are crafted to enrich the occasion, Great Performances offers a proprietary element of style and innovative design that turns catering into an art-form and events into celebrations. Pricing begins at $400 per person, and includes a customized menu, bar service, and staffing. Great Performances will then work as liaison between the client and Party Rental Ltd., to secure all rentals, which will start at $140 per person.
Ceremony-only options are welcome Monday through Friday for up to 125 guests, from 6pm until 7:30pm. The membership fee for this special ceremony is $2,500, and the site fee is $3,500.

Organized, efficient, reactive and personable. The Wave Hill onsite team is amazing...always smiling, friendly and helpful! The venue is of course spectacular but it is the people ...
who make it run smoothly that really bring the space to life.

Where to begin. Wave Hill is pure magic. We could not have asked for a more spectacular or more special place to get married. Are guests were blown away by the beauty of the the...
locale, its hidden gem-like quality, the taste of the food, the sunset, the grounds, the professionalism of everyone involved in "putting on" the wedding! Great Performances is, from our perspective, unmatched in terms of the quality and inventiveness of the food, the presentation, the pitch-perfect service, and everything else in between. I cannot tell you how many of our guests are still talking about the food, which, as you know, is rare! It's truly a culinary experience! We worked with Carly and Emily, who are WONDERFUL. Throughout the planning process, they answered every single one of our questions thoughtfully and in a timely manner. They had FABULOUS ideas throughout, and played pivotal roles in the overall aesthetic and flow of the evening, which was, to my mind, perfect. It's also worth noting that they are TOTAL pros and beyond brilliant problem-solvers. No logistical hurdle or aesthetic preference was too big or too small for them to handle; they're truly an amazing team. They also worked SO well with our other vendors and were, importantly, SO fun and so thoughtful and so enthusiastic. They made me feel so special and so cared for throughout the entire process! I LOVED working with them, and am so grateful to them for putting together a wedding that exceeded my wildest dreams. Everything was executed PERFECTlY. It's possible I am biased, but the service was IMPECCABLE. I cannot recommend Wave Hill and/or Emily and Carly highly enough!!!!!!
It's right on the Hudson River, with beautiful views of the river and the GW Bridge. The food was excellent and the ambiance was great.;The event planner that is included was not ...
