We chose Waveland for our wedding venue because we wanted a place that was within close proximity to Lexington (the location is hidden, and far enough back from the major roads tha...
t you don't get a lot of road noise, but super close and easy to grab an uber or lift), we needed a place that would allow us to get in on Friday for setup and allow clean up on Sunday (you get the place for the entire weekend!), and would give us the freedom to put things where we wanted them and bring in our own vendors. Waveland checked all these boxes and I'm so glad that we booked here! The grounds are beautiful and were the perfect place for all wedding activities (photos, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) so we didn't have our guests moving locations for one event to the next. They gave us the freedom to set things up where we wanted and it was so nice to have the place for the weekend! Charla was also very responsive and answered all my questions in a timely manner!
We recently had our ceremony and reception at Waveland and the entire thing was fantastic! Charla was easy to work with and laid back. We rented the barn in addition to the site an...
d it was perfect for the reception--room for our caterer, tables (inside and fenced area right outside), DJ, and dance floor! All for an affordable price.
Waveland was the perfect location for our wedding. The staff was incredibly helpful, the site is beautiful, and affordable!
Our wedding reception at Waveland was perfect! We had an outdoor dinner under the trees in front of the house, then late night dancing inside the barn. Absolutely gorgeous and so r...
omantic, exactly what we were going for! The staff are a bonus: super friendly and eager to help however! Definitely recommend Waveland as a venue!
We loved this venue because of it's beautiful gardens and spacious areas to put a tent. It is absolutely beautiful. The only two downsides is that it is very near train tracks and ...
that once you sign your contract, you are pretty much on your own in doing everything else. But they let you bring in whatever vendors you want. It is the cheapest venue we found in Lexington and it was honestly worth every penny.
Waveland is only $700- for the whole weekend. You can set up on Friday, and they even occasionally let you wait until Monday to take down. The site is gorgeous, with lots of nature...
and two beautiful gardens. The bathrooms aren't the most beautiful, and you can't use the house, but if you are going for a beautiful outdoor affair, Waveland is far more affordable than Shaker Village or Headley-Whitney.
In planning an outdoor reception, we found waveland to be a diamond in the rough. The location transports you to the country side while just up the road from the bustling streets ...
of lexington. The staff is friendly and nice, the location is rustic and accommodating to a large number of people. Renting the site for the day was only $500, we were able to set up the tent days in advance, and decorate the day before. Highly recommend if you're looking for an outdoor reception or ceremony.
