t you don't get a lot of road noise, but super close and easy to grab an uber or lift), we needed a place that would allow us to get in on Friday for setup and allow clean up on Sunday (you get the place for the entire weekend!), and would give us the freedom to put things where we wanted them and bring in our own vendors. Waveland checked all these boxes and I'm so glad that we booked here! The grounds are beautiful and were the perfect place for all wedding activities (photos, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) so we didn't have our guests moving locations for one event to the next. They gave us the freedom to set things up where we wanted and it was so nice to have the place for the weekend! Charla was also very responsive and answered all my questions in a timely manner!

that once you sign your contract, you are pretty much on your own in doing everything else. But they let you bring in whatever vendors you want. It is the cheapest venue we found in Lexington and it was honestly worth every penny.
Waveland is only $700- for the whole weekend. You can set up on Friday, and they even occasionally let you wait until Monday to take down. The site is gorgeous, with lots of nature...
and two beautiful gardens. The bathrooms aren't the most beautiful, and you can't use the house, but if you are going for a beautiful outdoor affair, Waveland is far more affordable than Shaker Village or Headley-Whitney.

Renting the site for the day was only $500, we were able to set up the tent days in advance, and decorate the day before. Highly recommend if you're looking for an outdoor reception or ceremony.
