Danna was truly a gift in making our wedding ceremony meaningful and memorable. We specifically did not want a stodgy officiant or religious ceremony, which led us to discover the wonderful world of celebrants. With Danna as a celebrant, we got so much more value in our experience from our first coffee meeting to our marriage certificate signing. The process to create our ceremony was in depth and personal. Every word and gesture were chosen for its contribution to what meant most to us. Together, we created rituals full of symbolism and meaning, including ring warming, handfasting, and a unique unity ritual where we created a family shield using symbols chosen by us and my husband’s children. Danna is a true wordsmith, armed with a deep and rich knowledge of historical rituals and practices, she is full of ideas. She beautifully crafted our love story, pulled from questionnaires as well as emails and phone calls. Our guests absolutely loved the ceremony, with many tearfully saying that they had never attended a wedding with a more meaningful ceremony. This is exactly what we had hoped for in working with Danna and she delivered on every penny we spent. Far more important than wedding favors or frozen cake, we have many valued keepsakes from our ceremony and gifted by Danna that will eternally bring us back to that forest sanctuary, surrounded by our favorite people, declaring our love and commitment to each other.
