We Only Do Pretty was highly recommended to us from our Planner and they did not disappoint! Eliora connected me to Tanya, who was our makeup artist for 4 women on my wedding day. She did an amazing job with everyone and the care she put into each person's session was obvious. Even at the trial session, she was patient and offered great advice, especially when it came to maintaining lip color all day! We Only Do Pretty was amazing and we would highly recommend them to anyone!

Makeup was very scary and hair was a mess during trial. Was able to resolve both by the wedding day, but Eliora was a bit rude on the phone and wasn’t very helpful or accommodating when we inquired about using a different makeup artist. Bridesmaids makeup and hair was also a disaster on wedding day. Asked for natural and received vampira type makeup.

Kristin and the We Only Do Pretty team was wonderful to work with and they made my bridesmaids and I look and feel beautiful on my big day. During my trial, Kristin made me feel so comfortable, incorporated my feedback along the way, and made suggestions for how to show off my favorite features and go with my dress, venue, and style all while still looking like myself. On the wedding day, Kristin and her team showed up to our suite armed and ready to make us look beautiful and they executed on that commitment - WODP made all of us feel comfortable as they did our hair and make-up and confident to look like our best, most beautiful selves. She also went above and beyond to help my sister-in-law schedule make-up services for my husband's family (sisters, sister-in-law, mom) at the hotel where they were staying. I am very picky when it comes to my hair and make-up, often preferring to do it myself vs. getting it done knowing I may be disappointed (which has happened with many events and weddings I've been in as a bridesmaid). I am SO glad I trusted Kristin and We Only Do Pretty to take care of my and my bridesmaids' hair and make-up for my wedding and would recommend them to anyone getting married or going to a big event.

I worked with Lauren and Eloria for my makeup and hair for my wedding and I was very happy with how I looked! Lauren did my makeup and was able to make it pop with it still looking like me. She was even able to cover a bruise that came up. Eloria made my hair look great! She took what was in my head and was able to make it even better. Definitely would recommend them!

I worked with Eloria for my May 2021 wedding and it was so wonderful! She is a very gifted hair and make-up artist. From the initial consultation, she easily understood the natural yet elevated vibe I was going for. I normally wear very little makeup so I was a bit nervous going into the trial but Eloria eased any fears and helped me feel comfortable. On the day of, she did my hair and make up, as well as for my bridesmaids. She brings a very fun but calming presence to the wedding morning. I would absolutely hire her again!

Eliora from We Only Do Pretty completely saved my wedding day after we had to hire a hairstylist only 8 hours before our wedding day! After responding to a frantic late night email request to come style the hair of 8 women less than 10 hours later, she responded with extreme professionalism and put my nerves at ease. On the day of, she was incredibly friendly, talented, personable and respectful of everyone's safety in regard to COVID precautions. My hair turned out better than I could've imagined! I would wholeheartedly recommend We Only Do Pretty to any bride.

When the bridal hair stylist I wanted to work with moved out of the area, she strongly recommended that I work with We Only Do Pretty for bridal party hair and makeup, and I'm so glad she did, because it was a breeze from start to finish! I had a hard time finding people who would come on site for a small bridal party (7 including moms and flower girl), and WODP was more than willing to do it at a very reasonable and transparent price. Ashley (makeup) and Jean (hair) were assigned to me based on their availability. They were a dream team - Ashley brought the sweetness and levity, Jean brought the efficiency and authority that my slowpoke crew needed. We had a range of skintones and Ashley was still able to give everyone a very natural, cohesive look. Even when I didn't have things running smoothly on my end (party members showing up late, forgot to have the check ready instead of Venmo), they were consummate professionals. Highly recommend!

Lauren and Stacy were absolutely amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better experience, from my trial to the wedding day working with these two is like getting ready with your friends. My hair and makeup was perfect! This was my first time having airbrush makeup and it was the perfect natural wedding day look (with a little pop of lip color). Through two hair trials due to a dress change and then traveling to my out of state wedding, it was a smooth and seamless process. I wanted a very complicated braided hairstyle I was not even sure was possible and a specific look for makeup and they both executed it perfectly with seeming ease. On the morning of my wedding they arrived promptly and got right to work – knocking out six bridesmaids, three moms, a flower girl, and me. Everyone looked so beautiful and all my bridesmaids were very happy with their looks – many pictures were taken. What’s more, they had a great blend of Lauren’s upbeat enthusiasm and excitement and Eliora’s calm focus, a fantastic duo that made me and my bridal party very comfortable and relaxed. I cannot recommend them highly enough, my hair and makeup was everything I had hoped for on my wedding day, and Eliora is also a pro at fixing veils! Thank you both so much!

Lauren and her colleagues were absolutely wonderful to work with! I wasn’t really sure what style I was looking for and they helped me find the perfect combination. They all were so friendly, professional, and flexible. It was chaotic with 12 or so people to receive services, all with different hair types and styles, and they ended up finishing early! We even added a couple people impromptu and they adapted perfectly. They were so fun and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

As someone who does not do my own makeup very often, finding someone to do hair and makeup for our wedding felt nearly impossible. I originally booked We Only Do Pretty on a whim, after seeing they did a wedding for a Cubs wife, but I am SO grateful for that impulse decision. Lauren and Eliora immediately felt more like friends than people I had hired. They made my trial extremely relaxed and fun, and made sure that their expertise was made known when I needed help envisioning my look for the big day. They showed up promptly the morning of my wedding, and made all of my bridesmaids look absolutely stunning! When I asked Eliora to change up my hair from what we did in my trial, she had no problems switching gears and translated my vision perfectly. Both ladies kept me relaxed and laughing the morning of my wedding and set such a wonderful tone for the rest of the day. I can't thank them enough for making me truly feel like the most beautiful bride on my wedding day!

Eliora and Lauren were fantastic. It was super humid and my hair and make up stayed all day. I loved the style - natural (ish) and simple. They were flexible with me adding and removing a few folks early on, which is helpful. Definitely recommend!

These women are more than makeup and hair specialists, they are truly artists. Lauren is such a calming yet energizing presence while doing makeup; similarly, Eliora's confidence in her up-dos and braiding is extremely calming - especially for a bride on her big day! Prior to my wedding, some of my bridesmaids had expressed concerns about "looking like drag queens" based on previous experiences with poor makeup/hair artist performance - EVERY single doubt/concern they had was squashed once they saw the work Lauren and Eliora did on each of us - all beautifully unique, elegant and certainly classy. Why select them over their competitors? They provide a far more personal experience than some of their bigger competitors in Chicagoland, plus their salon is in Lincoln Park and not in the burbs - Very easy for city brides to schedule their trials! Their salon is very intimate, which really gives you a good sense of their personalities and if you will flow well together on your wedding day!

My bridesmaid makeup was amazing and my hair looked cute. The ladies were patient and so talented. Their attitudes were so positive and fun. We got ready in a hotel and I even got complimented by a stranger in the elevator. Both hair and makeup lasted all night.

I had a great experience working with Eliora and Lauren from We Only Do Pretty for my wedding day. My wedding coordinator recommended WODP and I reached out to Kristin for pricing and details. They offer really great prices in comparison to other bridal hair/ makeup services. I read their great reviews and saw some photos and decided to book them. I had a trial with Eliora and Lauren and they were amazing! They are so fun and easy going. They listened to exactly what I wanted and made it come to life. On the day of, they showed up on time and were ready to roll. From the beginning, my biggest request was that I wanted a later start time and they were very accommodating, bringing an extra person to curl hair to make things run faster. They fit right in with my group of bridesmaids and brought a calm energy to the group. It can be stressful to get a big group ready on time but they actually finished earlier than expected and I was never worried about timing! They also did lips and touch ups on everyone right before we got dressed and got out the door. My bridal party was so happy and everyone’s hair and makeup looked beautiful. Eliora really listened to my feedback from the trial and totally nailed what I wanted for my wedding hair. I have a hard time keeping my hair from falling out but it stayed secure all night long. My mom also had a trial with Eliora and she was thrilled with her wedding day hair. Lauren also did a phenomenal job with makeup! My makeup was perfect all night and photographed beautifully. One thing I really love is that the makeup is natural and you still look like you, just a glam version ☺ I got so many compliments on both my hair and makeup and I really loved the way I looked. I think it is special to look back on your wedding photos and be 100% happy with how you look; Lauren and Eliora made that possible. I cannot recommend them enough for your big day!

I hired We Only Do Pretty for hair and makeup for my wedding and it was the best decision! They did such an amazing job with hair and makeup. Even after 8 hours, the whole bridal party still looked amazing. Eliora was so accommodating and flexible! She made it so easy to plan for the day and make any last minute changes. We had a blast hanging out with her and her team all morning. The hair and makeup was truly amazing, but the overall experience was even more amazing!

When I was first looking for a HMU vendor, I was drawn to the natural and beautiful makeup as well as the gorgeous braided hairstyles I saw posted on their Instagram. Meeting Eliora in person for my bride trial was an absolute dream. We easily clicked and she listened so well to all my requests and concerns down to the smallest detail regarding my desired hairstyle and makeup preferences. She was also able to point me in the right direction for hair extensions and was very quick to respond to an emails I sent after the trial with questions. I really appreciated both her artistic vision and how organized she and Ashley were on the day of with sticking to the schedule to ensure everyone was ready to go on time. The magic both Eliora and Ashley worked on myself, my bridesmaids, and family members was incredible. Even with last minute style changes, Eliora was able to fully capture the exact look I had always dreamed of having on my wedding day, and boy, did those lashes and airbrushed makeup stay in place through all the happy tears (which are automatically included in their services for no extra fee)! All my ladies and I received so many compliments over our hair and makeup all night and we have Eliora and Ashley to thank for helping us feel absolutely beautiful all night long! After having another makeup vendor back out on my trial appointment 1 hour before my engagement photos, I was extremely cautious to book another. I found We Only Do Pretty, and loved the natural, but beautiful styles and affordable prices. Makeup was one of the most important aspects of my big day, and I am so glad that I decided to work with We Only Do Pretty! I had my makeup trial with Lauren - she was amazing to work with! Lauren is so sweet and easy to connect with. She listened to my vision for my wedding day, and brought it to life. I am extremely particular about my makeup, and Lauren was able to take all of my concerns into account and ensure I would get exactly what I was hoping for. Lauren is reliable and professional, and showed up on the big day with her bubbly personality and welcoming attitude - it was like we had all known her for years. She was able to adapt to everyones particular styles (even our moms), and we all felt so beautiful! I would highly recommend Lauren and We Only Do Pretty - you won't regret it! Thank you!!

I used Kristin from We Only Do Pretty for my hair & makeup on my wedding day, and if I could I would give her 10 stars! First of all, Kristin has a great vibe and is just fun to be around! Second of all, she is great at what she does! During my trial, Kristin tried a few different styles on me, which I appreciated. On the day of the wedding, everyone in my bridal party was so happy with their hair & makeup. I got compliments all night (and I know that all brides do!) but I truly think Kristin was able to give me a hair style that was more "special" and unique, and she totally got the look I was going for. On top of that, she gave me a little touch up bag for the night, and my hair/makeup stayed on throughout the night, even after pictures in the rain! I also thought that We Only Do Pretty's pricing was simple to understand and reasonable for the quality provided. Would highly recommend Kristin and her team to anyone, and I can't wait to work with her again!

I had a hard time from the beginning with this team. My initial trial was not with someone certified to do makeup which I did not know the first time. They were nice enough to comp the first trial and give me a second with a different artist. It was OK. I decided to do a second trial of make up and I loved it. The day of my wedding my makeup was completely different than both trials and it was so white the photographer said I had to fix it. The second trial with hair was like a half holding my hair up and telling me what it would look like and that I would not be happy unless I bought $320 extensions. I felt pressured so bought them. The day of, since my make up was not correct I was an hour late and missed photographs with my bridesmaids and rushed through photos with my parents. Very disappointed. A few bridesmaids liked their hair and makeup and a few did not. If you have high expectations I would not recommend this company unfortunately. Also the photos turned out Terrible. I wish I could post them but please be carful if you choose this company. Again, they made me over an hour late and I got no picture of my bridesmaids because of them and unprofessionalism of my photographer. My hair fell out after 3 hours and I had to re do my own hair and makeup before the reception. Again, brides just beware. I truly don’t want this to happen to another bride. I will post pictures of my white face and hair falling out on yelp and google. You cannot post images here. Good luck brides.

I loved working with Kristin, Eliora, Jean and the entire team for both hair and makeup for a wedding party of 7 + me (bride) + the MOB, the MOG and two aunts! My bridesmaids could not stop commenting on not only how wonderful their makeup and hair looked, but how FUN and NICE the girls all were. Backing up a little bit -- I was really impressed with the girls at We Only Do Pretty. They were incredibly talented makeup artists for an incredible value, and Kristin and Jean did an amazing job with my extensions (They ordered them and matched them to my color flawlessly -- and I have very thin and lifeless hair!!). Some hiccups always occur with wedding vendors, and I was incredibly impressed with the way We Only Do Pretty handled those -- I am forever grateful for their professionalism and friendliness through that! That was something that spoke volumes to me about We Only Do Pretty (and it is not something I can say about all of our vendors!!!!). Anyone -- especially a big party -- would be lucky to work with those girls. You'll get beautiful faces, beautiful hair, and you will definitely want to be friends with all of them too :) Great Chicago girls who are excellent listeners, patient, and will help your makeup and hair vision come to life.

I could not be more pleased with choosing We Only Do Pretty for my wedding day hair and make-up. I have never felt more beautiful in my life. Everyone showed up on time the day of the wedding and even finished early! They did my hair and make up exactly how I pictured it. All my bridesmaids were very happy with everything too. I found We Only Do Pretty/Rebellious Beauty through the Wedtoberfest event, and I’m so glad I did! I was looking for a stylist for my wedding who had a more natural look because I don’t like anything too glamours when it comes to hair and makeup. I wanted to look like I rolled out of bed on my best day looking naturally beautiful. Well I couldn’t be happier. We had 9 women total for hair and makeup including myself, but they had timed the whole morning perfectly and everyone got done on time so we didn’t feel rushed. Eliora did my hair and makeup, and then Stacey and Lauren also came along so we had three stylists total. Every one of them was super nice and accommodating. They knew exactly what we had in mind when we described to them what they wanted for their hair and makeup. I had already had my trial with Eliora so I knew I would look great, but all of the women looked absolutely stunning. And all the hair and makeup lasted throughout the day and well into the night. We ended up going till 3:30am at the after party and even then the hair and makeup were still in tact after all the pictures, the ceremony, the tears, the drinking, and the dancing. I would highly recommend them to any bride looking for beauty services for their wedding!
