On the day of the wedding we could not find her because she was fixing her own hair, she stood in the back of all of the toast footage, she only scheduled 5 minutes for the photographer to get photos of the bride and bridesmaids getting ready and for the bride to put her dress on, she did not notice that the food served was incorrect, did not make the ceremony aisle wide enough so the bride’s dress nearly caught on fire, did not notice that the bride’s gown came un-bustled, lost the bride’s bouquet at one point and the entire bridal party was locked out of the building in the snow while she stood inside clueless. Honestly I don’t know if Christyn is a con artist or just incompetent but I feel sorry for anyone who makes the mistake of hiring her.

When we found Christyn, I knew I was going to survive planning a wedding. I remember not even knowing which adjectives to use to describe my vision and her coming in with a list to pull from. Additionally, she was able to truly capture our personalities without spending a lot of time with us in person. She was diligent in her questionnaire, follow up, calls, skype meetings to make the wedding our own but also respect our time and busy schedules. Once we started the process, I felt so comfortable trusting her judgment. If I hadn’t, I’m not sure how we would have done it as I couldn’t go back and forth from Dallas to Denver to vet all of our vendors. Did I mention that she dealt with my husband and me bickering on half of our decision making calls and helped us come to a mutual decision? She understands how hard planning a wedding is and the stresses that come with it and stayed patient with us. One very vivid memory of mine is seeing her run around at the venue prior to the wedding ensuring every detail was perfect. I didn’t have to worry about a single thing the day of the wedding. I will also say how much our guests raved about every detail. Many have said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been too and absolutely representative of us. Wedding Planner Extraordinaire. Right from the start both Christyn and Heather went above and beyond for us in SO many ways!! These two ladies are top notch! Heather worked within our budget to create our dream wedding, was so creative, PATIENT , organized, etc etc . She put it SO much extra work ,detail and time (we SO appreciate it!!!) to make sure not only the wedding was perfect but that I as the BRIDE was taken care of in every way. She made me CALM and did anything and everything to make me as stress free as possible. She even came to my house to pick up my wedding décor as I was too busy and short on time to bring it to her! She was available via text, email , phone call whenever I needed and her calming/sweet/caring demeanor kept me sane As for the wedding day itself, I could not believe how flawlessly Heather executed EVERY detail I wanted, executed the flow we wanted perfectly, while even making sure Matt and I were taken care of in every way AS WELL AS MY FAMILY. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. It’s like she multiplied into 10 Heather’s, I still have no idea how she did it. My only regret is not getting a picture with her on my wedding day (SO SAD)!. I also thought hiring a wedding planner would be one of those services that I could do without, as a way to cut costs. I was SO WRONG and I only wish we had contacted Claire sooner! For the most personal, emotional, and life-changing celebration, it was without a doubt refreshing to have the expert – Claire – take the lead both prior to the wedding and on the day-of. I learned that no matter how experienced of a project manager you are or however many friends/family members willing to help, and no matter how small or how large of a wedding you have (we only had 60 guests), there is A LOT to do! “Wedding fatigue” can easily consume you and unfortunately planning our special day started to take away from the fun and excitement of joining lives with my partner. It quickly became a second job that was very transactional. From the moment we spoke with Claire, she knew exactly what we wanted (and didn’t want), had a deep network of resources to tap into, worked quickly, was communicative and truly exceeded our expectations. To my surprise, hiring Claire actually saved us money. Because she has an established network of vendors and knows the ins and outs of the business, she was able to keep us UNDER BUDGET - without sacrificing quality. Nearly a year later, my (now) husband and I are STILL raving about how much FUN we had, how tasty and beautiful our wedding cake was, how romantic and breathtaking our on-mountain venue was, surrounded by aspen trees and its attentive, friendly staff, how delicious our meals were (our guests still tell us it’s the best meal they’ve had) and all the little creative decorations, details and bag of tricks Claire had up her sleeve that she surprise us with. Thanks to Claire, I can confidently say we were able to really enjoy our final months of engagement and have an emotionally fun wedding day. I wish we could do it all over again. Oh, and not that I’d recommend doing this, but Claire was able to pull off our destination wedding, during the summer in Colorado (peak season, meaning limited availability) in all of two months ☺ She's skilled ladies and gents! I am in education so to say that I am organized and highly attentive to detail is an understatement. I had a 63 page spiral bound "bible" that I created outlining every single detail for our wedding. We interviewed 3 wedding planners and the moment that we met Cammye, we knew she was the lady that would take the bull by the horns and make it happen. We were practically the same person! Cammye was attentive to both Richard and my requests. She understood what our big pet peeves were and our non-negotiables. She took my 63 page spiral bound bible and perfectly executed every detail down to the runners all running parallel to the head table, corralling the very rowdy wedding party for anything needed that day, fluffing my train before I walked down the aisle, and secretly plotting with my husband to pull off the biggest surprise of the wedding, which ended up being my favorite part of the whole day! How could there be any surprises with a 63 page bible? My amazing husband had been planning a huge surprise for me and Cammye helped him pull it off. Now most wedding planners would have rolled their eyes at me when I handed them my bible, but Cammye smiled nicely and asked me if I wanted to work for her!!! (Which I would in a million years if I changed my career!) All our friends asked Richard and I why WE of all people needed a wedding planner? The truth is none of it would have been possible without Cammye and her team at We Tie the Knots. Yes, we had planned everything, created decorations, spent hours refining all the details, but we could have never set it up on our own. And if we hadn't planned it all ourselves, Cammye would have taken our vision and created it perfectly! Neither Richard nor I had to worry about anything that day. We woke up, enjoyed our family, friends, laughed, cried (for all the right reasons) got to take pictures with our best friends, do our first look, arrive at our venue, sit back and relax until the event started. When our ceremony started Cammye and her team got everyone in place, we started exactly on time and when we were running a little behind because I wanted to take more picture she dealt with the venue coordinator who was trying to tell me no more pictures. When I wanted or needed something, Cammye was there. When someone was annoying me or bothering me (mostly our venue staff), Cammye was there. I am unaware of a single thing that went wrong at our wedding, but if something went wrong or someone had attitude I am sure my girl, Cammye, took the situation by the horns and figured it out. We cannot thank Cammye and her team at We Tie the Knots enough for all that they did to make our big day flawless. It is a day Richard and I will remember forever. Cammye and her team were understanding, professional, respectful, fun, responsive, collaborative, helpful and literally THE BEST $$$ spent on our wedding. They are THE BEST team in the industry and I have interviewed and/ or meet with many other wedding planners in the Denver area. When we renew our vows, you know who we'll be calling!
