I cannot begin to describe how awesome We, Unity Candle was. We used them for dinner music, emceeing, and as a live band during the reception. Mason was very responsive and flexibl...
e, adding in a "happy birthday" for a guest of ours late in the game. I began to feel unwell during dinner, and so we asked the band to start the dancing, and we wound up doing our first dances later on. It flowed so smoothly it was like we had planned it that way!
In addition, their live music is so good, I had multiple guests tell me that had to look over and make sure it was a band playing, not a recording! I only wish I had felt well enough to dance the entire night away with the rest of my guests! (Some people demanded an encore after time was up! They refused to leave the dance floor!)
All in all, you will not a find a more professional, flexible, fun, and amazing band for your wedding! And they play real rock music, none of that brassy, jazzy, "wedding" stuff. Thanks guys! You're the best!
After searching far and wide, I found EXACTLY what I was looking for in We, Unity Candle. Their repertoire included the precise eclectic combination of my favorite artists, and the...
y even learned a new song for our first dance, which I had never dreamed would be played live. There was a lot of communication with the band in advance, and having them run the ceremony music in addition to cocktail hour and dinner music was completely stress-free. Every single time a song started playing, I thought to myself, "I love this song!" Of course I loved every song because the band honored our wants and requests (of both things we did and did NOT want to hear). On your "special day," you shouldn't have to hear the "Cha Cha Slide" against your will or "Single Ladies" during the bouquet toss if you don't want to. I cannot recommend this band enough. Also, the guys are super cool and fun yet professional—and polite!
We decided to do a unique backyard wedding with country details. We built a stage and really wanted people to dance the night away, so when it came down to choosing a music provide...
r, a DJ didn't seem to be the best fit for the surrounding. We looked at few band groups and felt like they where sooooo typical and provided you with songs that where out of date and a bit cheesy. When WE, UNITY CANDLE came up, we knew they where the perfect fit. Cool, calm and has great taste in song options. Professional and willing to work with our song selections PLUS they DJ! I couldn't of imagined anyone else at our wedding, so if you are looking for the "not typical" wedding band......book them:)

What a great group of guys and what great music-We hired them for our October wedding and if I had 1 compliment I had 100 and they all started with how amazing the band was.. They will cater to your party in any way and will keep your guests dancing the night away.. They are great at keeping in touch and very attentive to all your needs and will not let you down.. believe me! They are professional-great musicians and you will gain great friendships in having these guys around.. Don't hesitate-and get em booked and dance the night away!
We will be hiring them for our anniversary party's here on out! believe the hype!
Loved the extensive list of non traditional wedding music. Mason was great with keeping us updated on things and promptly followed up on emails. My goal was to dance the night away...
and I definitely did! This was my one splurge for my wedding and it was money well spent.
Just hire them. They will keep people on the dance floor all night long.
I guess finding a wedding band is stressful for a lot of couples. Luckily, this was not an issue for my husband and I-- we'd been to a wedding where We, Unity Candle played and we ...
knew they'd be perfect for us. They have an amazing song list that satisfies a range of needs-- great classics, crowd pleasers and Indie rock that impresses even the most discerning of hipsters. How often can a band play The Pixies or LCD Soundsystem and pull it off? These guys are amazing. They were able to perform beautiful ceremony songs and great dance music, so from start to finish, we had a wedding with the perfect balance of tradition, old school and contemporary tunes.
Mason, the band leader, put us at ease immediately in the planning stages. Of course I was exhausted and getting nervous in the month leading up to our big day, and Mason basically just told us everything we needed to know, gave advice and ideas, asked a few questions I hadn't thought of, and walked us through the whole process. He worked with our hotel on all the needed set up and load in/out details, so I never had to worry about any of those details.
Bottom line is our band truly made our reception an amazing party. Everyone from my Dad, to friends, were out on the dance floor all night-- we had a blast! I highly recommend We, Unity Candle!
We have all been to that wedding that has everything going for it......until the music starts. Music is one of the most important aspects of creating the right ambiance for your m...
ost special and important party. It doesn't matter how pretty everything else is, if the music is terrible people will remember that and it will overshadow everything else.
I first saw W.U.C. perform at the indie wed show and knew I had to have them play at our wedding. After a few initial emails the band leader met with us at the most convenient time for us, he listened to what we specifically wanted and didn't want. He helped me find songs for the things I didn't really care about/was to frazzled to deal with.
On the wedding day this was one of the only vendors I didn't have to worry about at all. They were there and set up well before the ceremony. They were all dressed very tastefully. They didn't miss a beat with the music during our ceremony and even looped our walk in song so we didn't have to rush down the aisle. During cocktail hour they played all the songs I had asked plus a few extra that I love and had forgot to put on the play list. They stuck to the schedule we had come up with and that had made the entire night go as smooth as I could have ever dreamed up. After cocktail hour they transformed from DJ to rocking wedding band. They kept the entire dance floor packed all night and when their time was up all of our guest cried out for an encore, which they happily obliged to do!
Everyone had a great time, from my eleven year old daughter to my 82 year old Grandma and everyone in-between! I would definitely recommend We Unity Candle for your wedding entertainment.
