ng from measuring cups to a Duraflame log with matches to burn in the fireplace. Nice!! I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a view of the lake. I was on the second floor, closer to Bridge Street, so some tree obstruction, but definitely could see the lake! My friend was on third closer to the lake, so more of a view, if that is important to you.... I was in 60 and he was in 66. Overall, a classic, old school, style hotel. Which in a world of white walls, gray hardwood flooring, and little character in hotel rooms, this place is AWESOME! Super Nice staff, and the rooms were terrifically clean! Thanks everyone for a great stay!!

ce to relax. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although a few updates would elevate the experience even more. One highlight was the complimentary breakfast, which offered a nice variety of tasty options. The location also made it easy to explore the charming shops and restaurants nearby. While there were minor touches that could be improved, my stay was very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Weathervane Inn to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway, and I hope to return in the future!

ld and needing to be replaced. Stayed here 4 times now. This week will likely be the last. What you get for the $$$ here is location. That’s it. The people at check in are nice. (Tho check your booking price to compare price on invoice before handing over charge card - we were overcharged but then given the 20-something buck refunded the next day after pointing out the overcharge.) Also check your room before moving stuff in. Our 1st room carpet had gross stains, dog poop/pee maybe - didn’t smell. They’d been there for ages. We went back down and asked to change rooms and they did so right away. That room was much better. Didn’t feel like a cave. Didn’t have gross carpet but was still way outdated. There’s nothing cleaning staff can do about old and far past its prime things. hotel owners need to do renovations to charge over $200 here. But once they do, the prices will go way, way up. Charlevoix itself prices are honestly out of control expensive too. The water, the beaches, the outdoors that are all free are soooo amazing and my favorite in the state for sure. Unfortunately hotels and restaurants here want to make this a place only for really rich people that have their yachts parked here. This is likely the last time we stay in Charlevoix & at this hotel. I try to only stay local hotels and shop local and eat local but here we are definitely being priced out of trying to keep local only, which is really sad. So many of the places we like in Charlevoix are closed since 3 years ago too. It was never a low cost town or cheap by any means. It’s been pricey since we moved to Michigan & started coming up here in 2021. I feel bad for people who work and live here. What you get at this hotel for $250 plus tax (on a cheap night and luck into a “deal” too) is a great location, walkable down to the beach and into downtown. Yes, across the street is $200 or more per night, if you’re lucky. But they shouldn’t even try to put guests here in that first room no matter what they’re charging.

living conditions. Just the same recycled line every single day: “It’ll be fixed tomorrow.” Tomorrow has come and gone — over and over. And today? When I demanded a real answer as to why, after 18 days, this still isn’t fixed, an employee told me to “shut up” and threatened to call the cops on me. Call the cops? For asking why I don’t have WATER in a place I’m paying to stay? That’s not customer service. That’s intimidation. That’s flat-out disrespect. Water is not a luxury. It’s the bare minimum requirement to operate a hotel. And threatening a paying guest instead of fixing the issue says everything. If you’re considering staying here — think twice. 2 weeks and 4 days without water. Still no solution. Still no accountability. Unacceptable.
