the cake didn't entirely consist of the Texas Melon flavor as we had ordered. While the cake was still delicious, some layers deviated from the Texas Melon. Upon reaching out, Tammy promptly acknowledged the error and refunded us $100, adhering to their contract's limitation on refunds. She also generously offered a free cake for one of our future birthdays or celebrations to make amends. Despite the deviation from our initial order, Tammy's acknowledgment of the mistake and efforts to remedy it were commendable. We wholeheartedly recommend Cakes by Tammy Allen!

the melon cake. We then went to their open house event which was described as a cake tasting but it was a mini bridal extravaganza of their select vendors and the cake was hidden in the back and by request only. That should’ve been our first sign that their business was shady. I spoke with Tammy Allen herself at the event and informed her of my intent on using a fake display cake and buying sheet cakes, expressed interest for a dessert bar with them, and asked her how to proceed. She replied that the next step would be to book an appointment for a tasting through their website. I booked it, paid the deposit, and received a confirmation email. The subject for which stated, “Thanks for Booking your Tasting & Consultation!” and the heading read, “You're booked! Hi, Your appointment is all set.” We arrived approximately 15 minutes early to our appointment. The doors were locked and the man who answered seemed confused as to why we where there. He was polite and brought us in and gave us water. Then we sat for 27 minutes before anyone came to speak to us. Tammy Allen greeted us at 1:37p and immediately accused us of not booking the appointment. She implied that we were confused even though we showed her the confirmation email that clearly stated we were booked for that time and date. Tammy then deflected all accountability and stated her online portal did not email her regarding this and because she didn’t receive an email, it didn’t happen, regardless of the fact that the deposit had been withdrawn from my account and I had an email confirming it was booked. She then said the email is not a confirmation of my booking even though it was written verbatim “You’re booked!” and had details of my paid deposit. My fiancé and I can understand the error on their part. However, Tammy never apologized and instead was very accusatory which was frustrating for us. She then stated she would not make sheet cakes for us if we opted to get a fake display cake. I recounted my previous conversation with her when I had informed her of my intentions and was told to proceed by booking the consult/tasting. I may have been willing to work with her but the overwhelming LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM and ACCOUNTABILITY was more than my fiancé or I could forgive. She had taken our deposit, wasted our time, and blamed us for the error on their part regarding the appointment. We DO NOT RECOMMEND her to anyone who values their time and hard earned money. I should have read reviews before booking the appointment. There is indeed an immense lack of communication and lack of respect from Tammy Allen and her team.

cakes are the best and she’s very skilled at what she does. My guests loved her cakes and many of my coworkers were still talking about it! She was also accommodating when I had to postpone my wedding twice due to COVID! She is very sweet and kind hearted. Thank you Tammy!!

e tastes. It was so Moist!! The groom’s cake was a rich chocolate with a TTU logo on top and Tall City Midland logo on the side. They actually can do lots of creative designs for you!! You can’t go wrong ordering a cake from Ms Tammy. We had rave reviews from our guests!!

From designing our cakes, the prompt delivery time, and the delicious tastes of both of our cakes, we couldn't have chosen a better vendor for our wedding desserts. Even with the changes we had to make due to Covid, Tammy was very accommodating, understanding, and reassuring. She really took our ideas and brought them to life. From start to finish, we had a great experience. We cannot wait to order more cakes from Tammy in the future for many more special occasions to come.

We couldn't choose our favorite flavor so went ahead and picked 5 :) His Grooms cakes was fantastic! It featured his favorite sports and the top was breathtaking! Working with Tammy throughout COVID was so easy. She made us a sample plate of all her delicious cake flavors that we picked up safely and enjoyed at home. We made it a date night as we chose our flavors which is going to be a sweet treasured memory. Our top tier is in our Freezer now and we plan on eating 1/4th on our 3 month anniversary, 6 month anniversary, 9 month anniversary and finishing it off at 1 year! We cannot thank her enough!

o start. Ms. Tammy walked me through the options and helped me come to a design that was as elegant as I wanted but as simplistic as my new husband wanted. When we both saw the cake on our wedding day, we were so very pleased with the outcome. It was perfect. Now for the inside....DELICIOUS! Our cake was moist with just the right amount of sweetness. Thank you so much for adding to our wonderful wedding day!

Almond Buttercream, and Cinnamon Grand Marnier. All of them were amazing. We had several people comment on how delicious it was and how it was the best wedding cake they've ever had. I'm not surprised, because it's the best wedding cake my husband and I have ever had as well. Schedule a tasting and try it for yourself! We loved how during our tasting, Tammy had no need to try to "sell" her cake to us like the other bakeries did. The cake speaks for itself.

ery prompt, meticulous, and provided one of the best experiences and outcome I could have ever imagined. The stress was immediately relieved after my initial consultation knowing I was in the best of hands! My cake was absolutely beautiful, unique, and not to mention oh so delightful and delectable. My guests are still raving about it months later! I couldn’t be more pleased and will be using her for every occasion to come!

ul. As for the taste...the best wedding cake we have ever had. The flavors we chose (which were two that alternated between layers) were so delicious and moist!!! We had so many people compliment how soft and fluffy the cake was. We had a good amount left over, so we gave away what we could and took some home for us to snack on over the next week.. even days later, it was still as delicious and moist and fluffy as it was soon our wedding night. Thank you so much for helping us create our vision for our big day.

I am still getting compliments on my cake even from men. I have received sooo many pictures that my guests shared with me of just the cake alone. I also respected and appreciated her professionalism when asked how much did the cake cost, by not revealing those details. Everyone continues to say how beautiful the cake was. They are also saying, “Not only was it beautiful, but it tasted good too!” I loved that Tammy was on time and how she sincerely wanted to see my reaction when I had my first view of the cake. I was totally AMAZED and WOWED at how beautiful and “TALL” (lol) it was!!! Thank you sooo very much for Blessing us with such a beautiful, tasteful, and memorable cake that will be remembered by all of our guests as well!

s by Tammy Allen was the way to go for our wedding. The consultation process was so quick and easy that the only issue we had was deciding on cake flavors. Mrs. Tammy and her team worked with us on everything we wanted for our wedding cake within our desired budget. On the wedding day, Mrs. Tammy and her husband delivered our beautiful cake ON TIME and even helped the florist set up around the cake. All of our guests raved about how moist, unique, and delicious our cake was. My husband and I actually ate leftover cake up to 5 days after the wedding and it was still amazing! If you want an extremely talented, professional, friendly, local baker then Wedding Cakes by Tammy Allen is the one! Her cakes can elevate an event and leave you and all of your guests wanting more.

ique! Love the cake but I would say that on the wedding day the cake was sweeter than on the tasting day. Other than that the cake was very moist and good! But some guest did mention that it was too sweet for them.

't like them. Now, that's totally not personal. Food is subjective. What one person likes, another may not. When I told the director I was going to be honest and I didn't like the flavors, he said "That's because we cater to high end brides." Okay? So I'm not a high end bride because I didn't like your cake? And to be fair, even if the cakes were good to my taste buds, I wouldn't get my cake from here if that's how the director speaks to people. The cakes are mostly flavored with almonds and I'm not an almond cake person, but that's my taste. Whatever the case, I shouldn't have been spoken to this way.

our tasting, I was so amazed at her flavors that I went back a 2nd & a 3rd time with finance & then my mom-LOL. They were probably so annoyed, but you would never noticed- Tammy & her fam were flattered how taken I was about her cakes. After the tasting, Tammy & her design team Billy & Rikka were the only ones that got our vision for our cakes & took the time and sat with us & sketched out the cake exactly as I wanted, even suggesting details such as fondant ruffles & a flower ball for the top of our cake, details which really made our cake stand out. They also added our personal monogram and even copied the gate design from our invites. I was so excited when I left there because I knew they captured my vision and that it was going to be an amazing tasting wedding cake and a gorgeous one too. We chose their infamous Texas Melon & Butter creme- a flavor no one in Houston can claim & for our Grooms cake we chose alternating layers of Chocolate Hennessy & Strawberry & Champagne. I was so amazed at such a unique flavors, I also had Tammy make my Bridal shower cake, which was held at the St.Regis in her TX melon flavor -with a scraped icing (Naked style). Professionalism: I would rate Tammy & her team an A plus- she deliver high quality cakes for both events our Bridal Shower & Wedding. Cakes were delivered on time & looked and tasted phenomenal. I would def recommend her! Please don't go with a cheaper Baker my friend showed me pics of a wedding recently where the Bride tried to cut costs by choosing a cheap baker- well her cake fell & they still delivered it in pieces with no backup cake for her. I would not chance not using Tammy b/c you get 1 DAY ! Tammy was not only awesome she was reasonable priced. So happy we chose her b/c we got everything we wanted plus more.

layer was not even marble. no shell and the puree was supposed to bleed put of cake when cut had been absorbed in to the cake. the lemon layer had hardly any flavor to it as well. our much anticipated highlight event of our halloween wedding was ruined due to this.

g job at making you feel very comfortable. Also, EXTREMELY CLEAN!!! I didn't see not one bug or fly, no foul order, a very tidy cake shop. Prices are extremely affordable! I will be using her services for my birthday cake! FYI, the cinnamon marble flavor had my groomsmen cake on 1000!

the delivery of the finished product, we were thoughtfully included in the process. The cakes were beautifully decorated and unbelievably delicious ... definitely a big hit with all the guests. I liked them so much that I went back a month later and got cupcakes for my new son-in-law's birthday. The wedding was a year ago and Wedding Cakes by Tammy Allen just made a complimentary top layer for the bride and groom to have on their first anniversary. How awesome is that!! Without a doubt I would highly recommend this company for your wedding! Or, for that matter, for any celebration/event.
