From the very beginning, Jess was a calm...
, steady, and joy-filled presence. She somehow managed to keep us organized, keep everything moving forward, and still make the planning process enjoyable. No matter how big or small the question, concern, or detail, Jess approached everything with incredible patience, thoughtfulness, and care.
What truly sets Jess apart is how deeply she invests in her couples. She took the time to understand not just what we wanted our wedding to look like, but what we wanted it to feel like. So many times she anticipated our needs, understood our vision before we could fully articulate it ourselves, and made decisions that felt perfectly aligned with who we are.
Because of Jess, we were able to be fully present throughout our wedding weekend, knowing every detail was being handled with expertise and intention. The entire celebration exceeded our expectations, and so much of that is a direct reflection of her hard work, creativity, and dedication.
Beyond being an exceptional planner, Jess is simply a wonderful person. By the end of the process, she felt less like a vendor and more like a friend. We are incredibly grateful for everything she did for us and cannot recommend her highly enough to any couple planning a wedding in Williamsburg.

The experienced, hard-working staff provided personalized, high-quality service that made the day truly memorable for the couple and their guests. From the beginning, they listened to our unique needs and desires, and went above and beyond to ensure every detail was executed flawlessly. team are professional, easy to work with, and excellent at their jobs. Perhaps most importantly, they made our planning process fun, and allowed us to enjoy the experience rather than stress over it. Below are a few reasons why I think Jess and her team are the absolute best in the business!
1. She knows Williamsburg's wedding industry better than anyone else. My husband and I live and work near Washington, D.C., so we wanted a wedding planner who was local in Williamsburg and who knew all of the local vendors. That is exactly what we got with Jess! She helped us coordinate all of our vendors (florals, desserts, rentals, draping, etc.) and she went to do the "in-person" things we weren't able to. Because of Jess's relationship with the local vendors, she was also able to get us discounts and special accommodations that I don't think we would have been able to get on our own.
2. Jess makes herself available to her clients and is excellent at communicating. My husband and I both work a lot, and usually don't have the ability to take middle-of-the-weekday meetings. Jess completely accommodated these circumstances, and met with us on Zoom at 8:00 pm and scheduled our Williamsburg meetings on the weekends so that we didn't have to miss work! She often spent hours with us on her Saturday or Sunday, and was available via text and voice memo. After every meeting she sent us an email summarizing what we had discussed and our game plan for the coming weeks and days.
3. She helped us stay on budget. Jess made sure to monitor our budget throughout the entirety of the planning process. She created a beautiful design plan that was tailored to our budget, and, adjusted the plan as needed as we got closer to our wedding day and made changes. She gave us honest opinions about what was and wasn't worth our money, and she helped us think creatively about how to make our money go the furthest. She also negotiated certain aspects of our contracts with the vendors to make sure we got everything we needed at the best price.
4. Jess and her team handled EVERYTHING on our wedding day to make sure it went off without a hitch. They coordinated all of our vendors, all of the set up, and all of the odds and ends that came up throughout the day. If there were any problems or concerns, I didn't know about them because Jess and her team simply handled it without bothering me. This allowed me and my husband to enjoy our wedding day and spend time with our friends and family without worrying about whether the flowers looked okay or whether the band was where they needed to be. Additionally, she made sure everything ran on time throughout the day (according to the VERY detailed timeline she created) and she even made sure we remembered to eat during the reception!
I could write a novel about how amazing Jess and her team are. She made our wedding everything we wanted it to be and more. From beautiful design ideas, to logistical execution, Jess did it all. While hiring a wedding planner is undoubtedly an investment, I tell every engaged couple I know that they should do it. If you aren't in the wedding industry, you don't know what you don't know, and having an expert like Jess is invaluable!

100% on point. Their service with aisle planner kept us organized, and let me give detailed inventories and set up pictures directly to her and her team. They did not overlook a single detail. Everything detail was perfect. The day ran better and looked better than I could ever imagine. Huge bonus that Alissa also made sure we stayed hydrated and ate! ly with Jess throughout the planning process. She kept us on track, answered all questions in a timely manner, didn't balk when I completely changed the theme of the wedding... the list goes on. We live in Chicago, so having a "destination" wedding like ours, it was really important to have a planner who was familiar with the area and had worked with/knew all of our vendors, and Jess simply IS that person. She was able to make vendor recommendations without hesitation, and as the date grew closer we were fully confident that the crew was working together efficiently with Jess leading the way. We got married the weekend that Hurricane Ian hit, and even though we were lucky enough to catch the perfect (I kid you not - PERFECT) break in the weather that Saturday, our ceremony and cocktail hour were scheduled to be outside. The entire week leading up to the wedding Jess was constantly shifting things, creating new plans, and keeping us up to date on what the vendors were comfortable doing. She made sure that even if the worst case scenario happened (ie - we had the 4" of rain & 40mph winds that were originally forecasted for our wedding day), we would still have a perfect day. If you are contemplating a wedding planner in the Williamsburg area, BOOK JESS. it'll be the best investment you make for your wedding!!

So many “Southern Hospitality” touches stood out. Jess gave us a local restaurant gift card when we came to town for our engagement photo shoot. She set up our design meetings and taste testing s and took notes for us. She will always go the extra mile for you. She even worked with us when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID and helped us reschedule to a new date and keep all the vendors we wanted to work with. We couldn't have done that without her. She also is great at helping with family dynamics and other stressors involved with wedding planning. She really has such a personal approach to working with all her clients. We also appreciated all the extra assistants/staff brings with her for day-of coordination they did so much to help make the day run smoothly and keep us fed, hydrated, and happy! Little did I know, how she would be the women who planned the most perfect & dream come true wedding for us in Williamsburg at Kingsmill Resort.
I did not have a Pinterest Board, I did not have my 'dream wedding' information, and I didn't give Jess a whole lot of input to work with... However, she was beyond patient, asked a lot of thoughtful questions, and she was able to work her magic to make it all happen. Not to mention, being in NYC the past 10+ years has limited my patience & brought my standards to the roof - Jess was able to meet both of those by ALWAYS making herself available (call/txt/email) & delivered what all my guests echo as a 'Dream Royal Wedding'.
I can not recommend Jess enough. If you're debating on having a wedding planner, DO IT! It is by far the greatest investment you can make. She went above & beyond only planning. As we planned the wedding from afar (NYC & Miami) she also allowed us to ship stuff to her house, she created the gift bags, steamed the PJs, brought gifts, Starbucks, lunch, etc. all throughout the wedding weekend, and also took us to the airport after the Wedding - Talk about FULL STAR SERVICE!

now us and explain the differences between her planning packages. We selected the full service planning option and Jess got to work. She was available via text, phone, or email, and as we live out of state, that was a godsend. She helped us craft a design plan that thought of every detail and captured the essence of what we wanted our day to be without us having a clear idea of our vision to begin with.
Once the pandemic continued into the spring and summer, we realized postponing was our reality and Jess reached out to each vendor to help us find our new date, in March 2021. She handled every vendor and helped us look over the addendums for the contracts.
We met Jess in person in November 2020 for the first and only time, but felt like we had known her for years. Once the governor announced guest count limits for events, we made the heartbreaking decision to cancel our nuptials. That said, we have no regrets about having Jess by our side during the wedding planning process. Some of our vendors kept our deposits or the full amount paid for our wedding without having done any work since the event had not yet taken place (think catering and florals). I can happily say we did not get a refund from Jess - she DID ALL THE WORK. She spent hours with us making design changes, talking to our vendors, listening to our vent sessions and giving us options as we navigated planning a wedding during a pandemic. She was the best investment we made.
Jess's expertise and advice has no bounds. Her experience working with vendors in the industry is invaluable as she knows their work, who to recommend, and perhaps more importantly, who not to recommend. I cannot say enough good things about her. I wish our wedding day happened so she could have been by our side!

As I was getting married in Williamsburg, it was incredibly helpful to have someone who knew the area well--and had worked at my venues and with my vendors. I worked with Hilary as my day of planner. I can't even put in words how much she helped me. She is calm, cool, and collected; she is polite, but strong and assertive enough to get the job done, especially with goofy/loud big families and groomsmen cracking jokes! She has an attention to detail that is so important, especially as we set the timeline, and pushed me to "let go" of my need to oversee and control every detail so that I could enjoy my wedding day. She built my trust and I had a fabulous time...not once worrying if she could handle all of my demands. More than that, she was like a mind-reader. She anticipated what I needed before I asked, went looking for something I didn't know I needed, and gathered all the key players so that we could keep on a schedule. It was hot and humid on my wedding and she held a personal fan to my face so that my makeup wouldn't run--dedication! ;) I also had so many surprises and twists/turns in my wedding, including a special and very elaborate entrance for my dog. She helped coordinate every detail and did not once say "you're crazy--that's not possible." She and her team were all so great and I really appreciated their help and professionalism. Definitely worth any investment without question.

Some would say that would be a fine line to walk but WCoW worked with us to make sure we accomplished both. Hilary and her team did an amazing job of making sure we were prepared for the big day. Their communications from the get go was prompt and thorough including their follow up the day after the wedding. She is incredibly responsive, beyond friendly, and finds a great balance between letting you run with your own vision and adding in her own suggestions based on her experience.

Jess is such a huge advocate for her clients as well. Things do not always go smoothly in the planning process despite your best efforts at planning and organization. When another 1,300+ guest event ended up being booked in our venue on the same day as our wedding, Jess swooped in and took control and advocated for us tooth and nail down to our wedding day. I honestly was never even aware the other event was going on during our wedding due to Jess’ great efforts to make our day so special.
The little things (actually not so little!) that Jess does behind the scenes like check in which each of your vendors multiple times before your wedding, creating a detailed timeline (this thing was my sanity!), creating a wedding diagram, picking up decorations from your house, making sure you and your family get plates of food, having an emergency basket with raisins to keep your flower girl happy...those are just a few! Its all those little things that you don’t even think about that made us have the most PERFECT wedding day!
She also surrounds herself with a wonderful group of vendors and each recommendation she made to us was spot on. Jess, her team and the vendors all ended up feeling like great family friends and I was so happy to have each at my wedding. ust all around a class act. The amount of personal attention I received from her was amazing; I felt like I was the center of her world, but never did she feel overbearing. Jess kept us on track, she was incredibly helpful at getting quotes for different rental items or transportation (among others), she gave us guidance, ideas, and her honest opinion when she could tell we needed it (but never overshadowed our wishes or vision), and I'm pretty sure she pulled some strings with our various other vendors to make sure we got good deals, as well as stayed politely firm when she needed to to make sure we got what we needed. We went into our wedding planning thinking we didn't really need a coordinator/planner, but if you want to actually ENJOY your wedding, consider Jess. It is by far the best money we spent (and that is no put-down to our vendors - they were all amazing too!) because we were able to relax and enjoy everything so much more that weekend because she was handling all the little stuff that would have stressed us out otherwise. She pulled together my vision better than I could have even imagined - everything was absolutely lovely and no detail was overlooked. Our vendors that had worked with her before all HIGHLY recommended her, and the ones that got to work with her for the first time all commented how impressed they were and said she was the best they had gotten to work with. Having a day-of coordinator or planner may seem like an extravagance or overkill, but if you've never executed a wedding before, there is no way to realize just how much time it takes to take care of all the little details that make a wedding personal and unique; Jess does all of that (and guides you along the way of things you likely never thought about) so you can enjoy your friends, family, and new spouse. I hired Jess for the 2 month coordination package. I had planned my whole wedding from the beginning and I didn't know I needed a wedding planner at first, but I was wrong. Jess did everything from, communicating with vendors, creating a very detailed and thorough timeline, helped with our seating chart, setting up and breaking down the venue site, and running the whole show the day of the wedding. There is also a TON of small things we did not think of and Jess was on top of it all. She did a fantastic job the day of our wedding. She worked very hard to ensure the whole day went smoothly. She even went out of her way to go pick up our dog so that we could take photos after the ceremony. She was constantly checking on us to make sure we were doing ok, especially me because I was a nervous wreck about the weather. Jess and team did everything possible, wiped down all the chairs from the rain and made our outdoor ceremony happen. She went above and beyond for us prior to and day of on our wedding!

She did all of the behind the scenes non-exciting things and just presented us with great options and we got to do all of the selecting and take part in the fun stuff. wedding weekend. We came to Jess a little more than 8 months before our wedding and we had essentially done nothing. Within 2.5 months we had booked almost all of our vendors, selected a date and venue, and the entire time Jess kept us on track, within our budget and couldn't have been friendlier. We had our wedding in Williamsburg in the spring of 16' and Jess was incredibly knowledgeable about the vendors in the area and which ones were within our budget. We live outside the area and Jess did most of the planning with us over the phone and email. We had a handful of visits to the area while planning, and Jess was very efficient with our time when we made trips to town to interview vendors and select a venue. She had an agenda written and emailed to us in advance of every trip and was very organized. We had a handful of curveballs the week of the wedding handed to us by Mother Nature. Within 4 days we went from an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour to a completely indoor event-complete with helping us procure tent heaters and ceiling drapery only 48 hours before the event. Jess and her team seemed to handle all the challenges with ease and it went very smooth even with the late changes in plans. Our wedding day was seamless and we were never want for anything.
We were fortunate to have Jess provide us with milestone email updates at key intervals throughout the planning process. Just 48 hours after our first consult, Jess had alread emailed us an 8 page wedding design board with ideas for colors, venues, vendors, flower styles, invitation designs, etc.... All of the succeeding milestones (6 months out, 1 month out, 1 week out etc... ) brought regular email updates with all the documentation to keep us on track. Her updates were incredibly helpful in keeping us organized, letting us know who to pay, when to pay, how much to pay, which forms of payment were acceptable, even where to send the money, it was great. She essentially allowed us to manage the wedding planning from a mobile phone and a cloud document storage account. This was a necessity for two professionals with very busy careers.
When it comes to managing vendors, Jess was a godsend. She collected all of the proposals from each vendor, reviewed for accuracy, sent them to us for execution, and it was all electronic. She then kept copies of all our vendor contracts for us, and prompted us when decisions and payments were needed. She set up and attended all of our vendor meetings along the way. She also did a good job coordinating all of the vendors day of the event for their load in, setup, and breakdown. She worked well with everyone and personally worked very diligently to make our wedding decorations, table settings, and linens look wonderful.
Jess provided a white glove concierge service, managed all of our vendors with ease, and wore a smile the entire time. We even received follow up emails after the wedding describing the name change process. From start to finish she thought of everything and we couldn't have done it without her!
