We took lessons with Wedding Dance Coach for our first dance and are so glad we did. Elisabeth and Melissa worked with us to create a routine that matched with our style and ability level and that perfectly complimented our song. We identified a few key moves that felt comfortable to us and worked on perfecting those. We didn't want something too over-orchestrated and were so happy with their flexibility and partnership in crafting something that felt just like us. We had so much more confidence and a lot more fun having taken lessons and our guests gave us standing ovation!! We purchased a 10 pack package to learn a choreographed dance for our first dance at our wedding. Terra was amazing ! As two people that have no background in dancing, Terra made us feel comfortable; she was patient with us and she choreographed a fun dance to a complicated song without a solid beat. Our wedding guests were so surprised and absolutely LOVED our first dance. We heard about all night and for weeks after. Additionally, the lessons felt like a nice date-night amongst the chaos that is wedding planning. We would definitely recommend!

Elisabeth was THE BEST instructor! We had what they call the "keep it simple first dance package" for our wedding and it consists of 5 lessons, but the end result is anything but "simple"! Elisabeth immediately made us feel comfortable and within the first lesson my fears of embarrassing ourselves went away! Then she took our personalities into account for how the dance inevitably came to life. And because of that the end result became a highlight of our wedding day. Our guests are still talking about how amazing it was.

My partner and I signed up for dance lessons leading up to our wedding and we are so happy with the results. Elizabeth was a patient instructor and made us feel very comfortable. Not only did we have a fabulous dance for our big day, but we went home with skills we can use for a lifetime.

My husband and I took one dance lesson with the Wedding Dance Coach and I'm so glad we did! We had chosen a fairly slow song but our dance coach did a great job giving us easy enough steps to pick up on in 1 class and taught us some turns and dips to spice it up a little! My husband and I worked with Wedding Dance Coach for our first dance for our 7/2/23 Crested Butte wedding. Instead of Christmas gifts last year we decided to get a 5 class pack. We selected Melissa as our coach and couldn't have been happier! We spaced out our lessons to be about once a month leading up to the big day and that cadence was perfect for us. We treated our dance lessons as our date night and had so much fun practicing in between sessions. Our first dance song was unique (One I Want by Flatland Calvary). We wanted to do a country two step at the end and Melissa DELIVERED with the choreography. Working with them was one of the best experiences for my husband and I! We did 5 digital dance lessons and it was so easy to learn and understand what to do. We absolutely loved our experience with Wedding Dance Coach. As someone who was dreading my first dance, I am shocked to say that it was on the of the most fun parts of our wedding day! We were able to go into our dance confident and care free instead of it being something we were worrying about all night. We did the 5 lesson package and it was perfect to make us confident on our wedding day. On top of helping us nail our first dance, we had so much FUN doing it. We had the most fantastic experience taking dance lessons with Paige. She made us feel so comfortable from the very start and worked with us to create the perfect first dance! We love to dance but this was no ordinary dance. It was our first dance — in front of all of our family and friends! And it was a waltz and that’s not our usual style at all. But Tara got to know us and choreographed a dance that felt natural to both of us. Halfway through our set of lessons, we decided we wanted to change one of the elements and Tara was amazing at coming up with options and helping us quickly weave it into what we’ve already learned. After five lessons, we felt confident and comfortable. We could actually relax and ENJOY the dance rather than worrying about how we looked or what step came next. When my husband and I talked about the first dance at our wedding, we both immediately knew that we wanted to do something different than your traditional slow dance. While the idea of a choreographed dance overwhelmed us at first, we gained an instant cheerleader in the owner, Elizabeth, the very first time I called and explained our crazy idea. From that moment I just knew we HAD to book the 10-class package and begin the process even though we had just a little over 12 weeks before the wedding. Because they have such a user-friendly booking system, it was very easy to book all 10 classes and find times that worked with both our work schedules, and overall crazy wedding planning schedule. Now, if you're reading this, you need to understand the extent of what we were asking of Wedding Dance Coach and their amazing instructors. We came to them with a specific song (Two of Hearts by Stacey Q), and asked them to choreograph a step-by-step dance for us. While most couples would be more than happy learning a few basic moves/steps and calling it good, we were asking for a lot more than that. And boy did they DELIVER!!!! We switched between both Melissa and Elisabeth who were both incredible. While Melissa nailed the overall structure of the dance, Elisabeth then came in and whipped out amazing moves that would leave my husband and I awe struck just because of how clearly she understood our vision. As we finished 8 classes, both instructors showed us so much support and grace as it wasn't always the easiest process to learn a dance in 10 weeks, especially in between bach parties and wedding planning. We then got to use the remaining two classes on a mother/son dance. The end product was what I would describe as the showstopper of our wedding day. Seeing and hearing how much joy that moment brought our closest friends and family was amazing. We even have little cousins still asking us if we could teach them the dance. I can't begin to explain how grateful we are to the team at Wedding Dance Coach for being so adventurous with us and giving us a memory we will treasure for the rest of our lives. If you are on the fence about booking, take this as your sign to do it! You won't regret it.

Melissa was amazing in helping us choreograph our first dance for our wedding. Going in I was definitely nervous given the 1-foot height difference between my now husband and me but she helped us adjust the moves so they all work. Our whole experience was fantastic and part of me wants to get married again just so we can work with Melissa again!!

Thank you Elisabeth for making our wedding dance so memorable! Elisabeth was super fun to work with. She was very patient with us, since my now hubby does not dance and mayyy have 2 left feet, where I am an amateur dancer and LOVE to dance! She listened to our wants and helped create a beautiful dance with some fun moves thrown in for me, while keeping the base classically simple so that my hubby felt comfortable. We chose the 5-lesson "anti-middle school dance package" since we wanted a dance that wasn't overly choreographed so we could enjoy the moment together on our big day. We had Melissa as our dance coach for 10 lessons and boy was it worth it! My husband who was super against going to dance lessons actually enjoyed it a ton! Melissa made it fun and exciting. We would highly recommend going to Melissa at wedding dance coach to prepare you for your first dance!

Although there is plenty of stress and planning that goes into a wedding, I was relatively relaxed about everything other than the first dance. Having had no dance experience or really any rhythm at all, I dreaded getting up in front of people and embarrassing myself. My wife knew this, and was smart/kind enough to book us five lessons with the Wedding Dance Coach. Melissa got us into a groove quickly and was an excellent teacher. She didn’t push anything outside of our comfort zone, but also taught us some dance moves that I never thought that I was capable of. My wife and I definitely won’t be winning any dance competitions in the future (my fault, not hers), but our first dance went great. Our guests were shocked at the work that went into the routine, and we definitely would not have been able to put on a show like that without Melissa’s coaching and encouragement. The first dance went from being the most terrifying part of the wedding, to arguably my favorite part of the whole weekend. If you are nervous, or just want to become a better dancer, I highly recommend going to the Wedding Dance Coach! She is extremely personable and easy to work with and helped my wife and I quickly learn and master our dance in just a few classes after starting with little to no prior dance experience. My wife and got married on October first and as someone with two left feet, I was extremely nervous about the first dance. After a bit of googling, we found Melissa and the rest is history. Melissa was extremely friendly and was able to convey concepts and moves clearly and concisely. Additionally, we had planned to do a much more complicated dance but due to an unfortunate incident involving a dirt bike and the ground we had to change plans. We had the best time working with Terra on our wedding dance. It was a very fun thing to do leading up to our wedding. We did a package of 5, which was great for learning choreography and basic steps for our specific dance. We definitely want to go back for other lessons! Highly recommend!

When we chose our first dance song we decided we wanted to completely surprise our guests with a choreographed dance. The song was pretty complex and changed pace quite a bit so we wanted a unique choreography that would move from ballroom dancing to faster dancing to disco-y vibes. We were partnered with Melissa for our dance and we LOVED working with her. Our first day was a bit frustrating because we both didn't know what the heck we were doing but Melissa was so consistent and patient with us she inspired us to go home and practice dilligently. Watching our progression over the weeks was astounding. She was able to teach us 3 entirely different styles of dance to incorporate into the song! We actually looked forward to our appointments with her. She had such a fun energy and was always so patient with us. Her teaching style made it such that learning from her was not intimidating. She listened to what we wanted and never tried to force her ideas on us...though honestly the ideas she provided to us were great and a lot of them really landed with us. On our wedding day we were so confident and we NAILED the dance. Our entire wedding erupted in cheering and clapping at the end. I'm literally tearing up right now remembering it. Melissa was so great we hope to return working with her to learn some fun new dance moves.

My husband and I have always been decent dancers, mostly two-stepping. We thought our first dance would be just fine without a lesson but on a whim decided to book Melissa for one hour. If you're considering a lesson, RUN to Melissa right now!! She taught us a handful of spectacular moves which took our dance from mediocre to an absolute fairytale. It was the perfect date night leading up to the wedding and something we could look forward together during the craziness of wedding planning. I worked with "Wedding Dance Coach" for two dances: my father/daughter dance (which started as a normal sway, but then turned into a silly 80s dance moves montage) and also my first dance with my groom (which was a simple but very choreographed dance). I've worked with 3 different teachers at this studio: Elizabeth, Troy, and Melissa. Elizabeth and Melissa were great to work with, but we mostly worked with Troy and Troy is amazing!!!! My husband (still weird to call him that, as we are only 2 weeks married haha) was nervous about dance lessons, but Troy was great at putting my groom at ease. We are not dancers, though we did do a handful of swing dance lessons a few years ago - and we were so delayed with planning everything for our wedding (we planned our whole 100 person wedding in 5 months) so we only started taking lessons for our first dance 2 weeks before our wedding. But in those 4 lessons, Troy was able to put together a really incredible choreographed dance for us, that we felt super confident and excited to show off at our reception.

We had the wonderful opportunity to work with Melissa virtually on our first dance. She really listened to our needs and was patient when we changed our minds. We were a little nervous about being taught virtually but she did a great job showing and describing the moves. The process was 6 sessions over the course of a few months, and by the end we had a 3.5 minute dance! On top of the wedding dance, we learned many other dances and steps, that we can use anytime - from others' weddings, to dancing in the living room. Our guests loved it and we felt so confident!

We did five sessions which was the perfect amount of time to choreograph and perfect the dance, and she was really attuned to creating a dance that met our vision and incorporated our personalities. Cannot recommend the Wedding Dance Coach enough! I had done the basic choreography of our first dance as I wanted to do a fun mash up of some of our favourite songs, but wanted to add an extra 'wow factor' to it and came across the Wedding Dance Coach. They helped us add in some amazing lifts, spins and poses as well as tidied up our initial slow dance portion and omg did it look incredible after!! My fiance was really apprehensive about doing this especially virtually as we are based in London but we had SO much fun in the lessons and he could see what a difference it made to our dance. PJ was our main teacher and she was so lovely and patient and such a good teacher over zoom! She was able to see if we were doing things wrong or struggling with things easily and came up with alternative suggestions. We then had a final lesson with Elizabeth who polished everything up; little things from hand positions to facial expressions. Honestly couldn't recommend this company more, whether you want in person lessons or virtual, it really will make your first dance so unique and amazing, whether you're a beginner or advanced dancer! Definitely book some lessons!

Melissa was SO helpful in coaching us for our first wedding dance. We did one lesson with her and she really optimized the time to help us nail the basics but also taught us 3 "fancy" moves that really impressed our guests. She is so patient and good at explaining everything to very non experienced people like us :) She also video tapes everything so that you can practice at home. We felt so confident going into our wedding day and the dance turned out amazing! Would HIGHLY recommend Melissa!

We aren’t dancers, so the idea of a first dance made us both really anxious. We talked about booking lessons and then somehow our wedding was so close and we hadn’t done it. We booked a virtual lesson with PJ from Wedding Dance Coach at the last second and had the best time. The virtual lesson was great because we didn’t have to plan travel time into our day to get to a studio and being in our own space took some of the nervousness away. Not only did PJ teach us how to do some basics, she helped us choreograph the perfect first dance, which we promptly forgot most of while on the dance floor. We were soooo nervous. It would have been so much worse without any type of lesson though, as we had no idea what we were doing. We got some spins down and a few basic dance moves. Some of our guests told us it was so much fun to watch because there was some action to it, so everybody won! I cannot recommend this team enough and booking a lesson. At the end of our lesson, PJ even got teary eyed and it made us do the same. It was magical. Seriously. The only thing I wish we had done differently was book sooner, book an additional lesson and practice a bit more (our fault for taking our lesson so close to our wedding!! The time goes so fast when wedding planning!)!!!

We waited until the last minute to book our 1-hour session with Melissa at the Denver location. We figured that at most we'd learn a few easy dance moves but Melissa used every minute of that hour effectively and choreographed our first dance wonderfully! She made us feel confident and empowered - practicing dancing was definitely the most fun part of wedding prep for us! :) We would highly recommend working with Melissa for your dance lessons! If you are able, don't be like us - book more sessions. But if you are like us, you can trust that 1 hour is absolutely worth it and can teach you enough for your first dance!

My (now) husband and I were gifted 5 dance lessons to the Wedding Dance Coach before our wedding. We decided to take 3 lessons together and I took 1 dance lesson with my dad and my husband took 1 with his mom. We took our lessons from Penny and Melissa and both coaches were kind, non-judgmental, responsive, creative, and so much fun! Penny and Melissa made sure we got exactly what we wanted out of the lessons and all three of our dances at our wedding were a huge hit. We are so grateful that we took advantage of dance lessons that were gifted to us and we cannot recommend this company enough!

Melissa A. was a fantastic dance coach leading up to our wedding! While the first dance was a daunting thought for my fiance (now husband!!) and I, she was able to make the process fun and informative. I purchased the 5 class package and felt it was a good number for a semi choreographed routine. We wanted it to feel natural, and ensure we didn't look bad in front of all our family and friends and the Wedding Dance Coach put us at ease! After our lessons, we were able to walk out onto the dancefloor at our wedding and just enjoy the moment and have fun with each other - something I never thought was going to be possible! We absolutely LOVED using Wedding Dance Coach to get ready for our big day. We worked with Melissa Aaron who was fantastic - we are actually horrible dancers when left up to our own devices (seriously, it's a running joke within our friends) and just wanted to be able to move with rhythm and not make fools of ourselves. By the end of lesson 5, Not only were we moving confidently and fluidly, but Melissa had helped us come up with a simple routine with a couple lifts, dips and spins that left our friends and family speechless (again I cannot emphasize enough how they were expecting the worst hahahaha). It was also so much fun - we really looked forward to our lessons and would make date nights out of them! I cannot recommend them enough!!!

Wedding Dance Coach's virtual lesson was such a surprise. My fiance and I had an excellent time and feel much better prepared for our wedding! It was awesome to still have the opportunity to learn how to dance while in quarantine from testing positive 2 weeks before our wedding! PJ was excellent with guiding through the virtual zoom meeting and calling out issues while also being super understanding with normal internet issues/slowdown. Taking dance lessons with Melissa was an incredible experience. My mom got my husband and I a 10-pack of dance lessons to prep for our first dance. We used 6 or 7 of them for us, and the rest for our parent dances, and all I have to say is WOW. By the first lesson, Melissa had us doing multiple dance styles to see what worked best for us. By the last lesson, we were so confident in our dance, and it was perfect for us! At our wedding, our dance was amazing. Our guests loved every minute of it too! In addition, my dad - who has never been comfortable on a dance floor - was singing along while we danced and nailing all of the steps. Melissa is AMAZING! My husband and I had so much fun doing dance classes with her leading up to the wedding. We chose the 5-class package and felt more confident going into our wedding day (without feeling like it was too choreographed or stiff either). Wow. What can we say? Troy was the absolute best. He took us from zero confidence, beginners shuffling across the floor to full-on dancers. We never imagined being able to have a choreographed dance that would not only make us feel amazing but also make us look so good! We never felt like we were 'not dancers' (even though we both thought we had 2 left feet!) and Troy had so much patience as we learned the moves and combinations he was teaching us. Each week he easily built on our previous lesson and helped us refine our dancing and confidence. During our first dance, we realized our nerves were making us go a bit too fast, but we were able to improvise an extra outside turn (that looked seamless) and picked right up where we needed to be! Going into dance lessons seemed like a chore, but it truly became something we looked forward to each time, and Troy was a big part of that! We learned so much more than just dancing in the process, it was almost like pre-marriage counseling too -- communication, letting the other lead, and working together! We are so thankful we found Troy and he was able to help us with the most amazing first dance. Taking lessons with Melissa through the Wedding Dance Coach was one our favorite pre-wedding activities. We did the "The Anti-Middle School Dance Package". It was the perfect amount of low-key prep for us, I ended up using 1 of the lessons with Dad for our dance. We felt prepared for our wedding date, but not overly choreographed. WOW! We used Melissa as our Wedding Dance Coach and we are SO glad we did! I've been to a lot of failed Zumba classes so I didn't have high hopes for our wedding dance, but boy was I was wrong! Prior to our wedding my husband expressed concern for dancing a "traditional" first dance. A perfectionist and musician, he wanted our dance to be more than a middle school sway. Three weeks prior to our reception we took lessons with Melissa and were surprised by how much we enjoyed it. My fiancé and I decided to go with Wedding Dance Coach after the rave reviews I read on The Knot and Wedding Wire. We didn't want a fully choreographed dance, but also didn't want to do the middle school dance, swaying back and forth. We purchased the 5 lesson package and we were paired with Melissa as our instructor, and she was phenomenal! Not only was she super patient, but she was very through in instructing us and made the lessons very enjoyable. My fiancé is a pretty decent dancer, I on the other hand, have 2 left feet. By no means am I dancing like a pro after 5 lessons, BUT I am definitely more confident and excited for our first dance at our wedding next weekend! My (then) fiancé bought this for me as a valentine's day gift leading up to our wedding and honestly I can't tell you how happy I am that he did! Melissa was a fantastic coach - she spent time getting to know us and what we were looking for up front, and from there helped us hone the perfect set of moves to work into our first dance. I purchased the Anti-Middle School Dance Package with Melissa for the first dance at my wedding and was so glad I did it. My husband was very hesitant to do lessons because he didn't want to look overly choreographed but I didn't want to sway around for 3 minutes. Melissa was able to work with us on a dance that had some free-style for him and some choreographed moves for me. Everyone was commenting all night on how beautiful our first dance was.
