Wedding Dance

ile on The Knot vendor list, and was so excited to reach out to her! She got back to my request very promptly and we scheduled a call to go over wedding details. Judi was very professional and has many years of dance experience. I told her I wanted a Cinderella style dance and she choreographed the whole thing for us and it matched up perfectly with our song choice. Judi was prompt and met at our home for three lessons. She sent us very helpful videos for homework and we would practice our moves before each session. My husband and I were doing long distance during our engagement season, and Judi was very flexible and efficient when he was in town. She is so talented and kind! I’m beyond amazed that she taught two stick bugs how to dance and our wedding was A DREAM! If you are looking for a first dance instructor who will literally teach you how to dance in three to four lessons, contact Judi today! I’m so grateful to have met her - she took off so much stress from the wedding day and we were able to enjoy every moment. Thank you for everything, Judi♥️

ot of great comments from our wedding guests which is a testament to our teacher.

nquiries. Beyond that, SHE MADE THIS FUN! Poor thing not only had to help the bride and groom learn to dance, but we also hired her for the mother/son & father/daughter dance so she had four of us! She was so patient and understanding. Even when we were just so flustered and discouraged by lack of skill or physical capabilities, Judi didn’t miss a beat and would just on-the-fly make minor corrections to help us feel comfortable. I can confidently say I CAN DANCE NOW and am so excited to show off what we learned on our Big Day! Judi…from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being you ♥️

intimidating and overwhelming, but Judi takes all the guess work out of the equation. While many dance studios/ instructors will try to upsell you into increasingly expensive packages for a more "personalized" and better first dance, Judi was like a breath of fresh air with her straight forward package and reasonable pricing. Once you book with Judi by providing your deposit and song of choice, she sends you six simple but fabulous dance moves to learn with video clips as sort of "homework" to practice, so before your first lesson you can familiarize yourselves with the moves. Once we met with Judi for our first dance lesson, we practiced our 6 moves and added some new ones in as well. Over the next few lessons, Judi helped refine our dance moves and teach us an amazing custom made dance choreography to go with our first-dance song. She took videos of us during our dance lessons as references for practice later, as well as provided lyric copies of the music with notes on when we do what dance moves/ timing: this was incredibly helpful! Also, Judi comes to you for your private dance lessons, which was so nice and one less thing to worry about during hectic wedding planning. Judi is an incredibly talented dance instructor. She is so kind, caring, thoughtful, professional, patient, fun, and has a great sense of humor. Throughout the entire process, Judi gave us so much encouragement and made us laugh. In total, we had 4 dance lessons with Judi and our lessons together was my absolute favorite part of the wedding planning process. She makes it so much fun! Our first dance was a hit and the entire wedding reception was cheering in excitement. I will cherish our first dance forever, because it was truly magical. Even after the wedding, we've had so many friends and family compliment us on our first dance and we give all the credit to our amazing instructor, Judi. <3

ocess initially. We were hesitant and had no idea where to start. There seemed to be plenty of dance studios to choose from; however, none of them truly met our needs. They were either far too expensive for our budget ($200 per class, recommending eight classes…), far away (anywhere from 15-30 mins+), not the style of dance we wanted, or, the lessons were held in a loud dance studio / group setting where it was challenging for us to focus in an already foreign environment. This was our wedding, we wanted to be the only two people in the room with our instructor. I didn’t think private lessons would be affordable for us, but then I found Judi on the Knot! After speaking with her on the phone for just a few minutes, I knew we had found our woman! Judi has a very warm, caring presence, and made it clear she would adapt our lessons to reflect our skill level. Judi’s pricing is VERY affordable and scheduling is super flexible! The best part? She came to us! It was so convenient, especially in the home stretch of wedding planning / chaos. Judi genuinely choreographs the dance for YOU. She films segments of practice sessions for your reference, sends you notes, video clips, etc. We were very impressed with Judi! All of our guests were floored by our first dance! Despite hearing our everybody’s reactions in the crowd, we were still completely focused on each other and in the moment. We were totally surprised by how much we enjoyed the lessons with Judi. Amongst all of the wedding stress and little details that us brides can tend to get lost in, this was our little getaway where my husband and I could laugh and enjoy the process in a safe space. We still practice our first dance in the living room even after the wedding, so that we can hopefully cherish it forever. It turned out to be one of our favorite aspects of the entire wedding process and in the end, was so much more special to us than we ever thought it would be. Judi even got us this sweet custom gift to go along with our song choice :) She is so thoughtful! If you’re considering first dance lessons for your wedding… book with Judi!!

enjoyed it And our guests loved it !

rocess prepared us to handle the work we did in person, it was quite a workout! The snacks and drinks were a nice touch...and with only one session and practice at home we were confident and prepared and happy with our special wedding dance.
