Wedding Hair By Liz

Liz was my wedding hairstylist and I could not have asked for a better day or for a better wedding hairstyle! Liz did my hair and my bridesmaids hair, and everything turned out fabulous. Liz was so easy to work with and truly made me feel comfortable and calm on my wedding day. She was not only an amazing hairstylist, but was so helpful and made so many great recommendations. My hair lasted all day, even in humid 85 degree June temperatures in North Carolina. She worked with my chosen hairpieces and helped me arrive at a style I loved. I would recommend her services to anyone!

I am so happy to have found Wedding Hair by Liz to do my hair for my engagement photos! She is not only an amazing hairstylist but also a beautiful person and that is clear from the first moment you meet her. Liz’s studio was clean, tidy, and so pretty! She was very knowledgeable about hair and was able to manage and tame my thick, frizzy, naturally curly hair. Liz gave me ideas on what hairstyles would suit me and made me feel so beautiful for my photos. The day of my pictures it was very hot and humid, then later on it even rained but my hair still looked perfect the entire time. If you’re looking for a hairstylist I highly recommend Liz, you will not regret it. Thank you Liz for working your magic on me!

Liz was on time, always a phone call away. She listened to what I wanted and went above and beyond my expectations. I’m super picky so for me to be so satisfied is rare! And my bridesmaids mother and I were so happy with our hairstyles! She calmed me down while I was overwhelmed. She was kind and compassionate and really listened to what I wanted. Along with her team she’s so talented and I would use her over and over !!

If you are looking to have a stress-free wedding, Liz is not the person to hire. We hired Liz for our 2021 wedding in 2020 and since the beginning she's been very negative. Though you are Liz's client, everything is about Liz. In April of 2020, Liz gave us a discount on her pricing because she said she'd "take anyone she could get." We never asked for a discount. Throughout the next six months as we were finalizing our details, Liz constantly reminded us that she gave us a discount. As a business owner, if that is something you want to offer, then that is your decision, not something to hold over your client's head. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, we had to postpone our wedding. We reached out to Liz to let her know that's what we were thinking, but were waiting for final confirmation on the new date from our venue. Liz said she sometimes charges a rescheduling fee, but wouldn't charge us. She also let us know that she wasn't able to offer the same pricing. Additionally, she let us know how much of an inconvenience we were having to reschedule, despite a pandemic. Lastly, she said that she no longer books the makeup artist and that we'd need to do that on our own. When we received her new pricing, she charged us $75 to reschedule and the price difference between her price and her makeup artist's price (who was hired in the original contract via Liz) is a $600 increase, a significant difference. Liz's contract does not mention anything about fees or price changes. Additionally, she is still advertising on her website and her Wedding Wire page that she offers both hair and makeup services. Though Liz said she had our new date available, she's refusing to honor the contract or refund our $450 deposit. When we asked for one of those options, Liz said that she is mourning the loss of her son and would respond to us "in a month or so", which would put us past our date to cancel without paying the entire amount. She never disclosed this information until there was a dispute, which feels pretty unprofessional. She also added that she'd see if she gets any more inquiries (despite saying that she had our new date available). While I can understand needing time to mourn, I cannot understand continuing business when it's convenient for you and not for your client. All of this is to say, if you're looking for your wedding day to be a happy one, Liz will make it the opposite. She's unprofessional, hostile, and only thinks about herself during a pandemic. She takes no responsibility for herself or her business. Save your money and your time.

Liz literally saved my wedding day. Our hair and makeup artist was a no show and Liz dropped everything and came to our rescue. She was courteous, worked quickly (think 7 people in around 4 hours), and brought her cute granddaughter who made me laugh off the stress. Liz you are an angel, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!!!

Liz was a wonderful choice for our daughter’s wedding. She listened carefully, and all the girls were so pleased and looked absolutely beautiful! Liz was flexible, especially with Covid causing things to be up in the air, and really came through for us. During the trial and on the big day, she was on time, friendly, and fun. We highly recommend Wedding Hair by Liz!

I highly advice NOT booking Wedding Hair by Liz. She has been very difficult throughout my entire wedding planning process. I booked her back in October for my May 2020 wedding, and paid a large deposit to save my date. Because of coronavirus, Liz cancelled VERY last minute, leaving me scrambling to find another alternative. She is REFUSING to give me any part of my $450 deposit back due to her cancellation. My husband and I went through with our wedding as planned, and now I am out even more money because I had to find someone else last minute. I am still trying to get any money back from her but she has been so difficult. I do not recommend booking Wedding Hair by Liz.

I can’t believe the luck I had finding Liz and her team. Liz is the most incredible stylist and simply the most incredible person. She made me and everyone in my wedding party feel so comfortable and so beautiful. My wedding absolutely would not have been the same if it hadn’t been for Liz. Aside from the man I married, she is hands down the best decision I made when it came to my wedding!

Liz and her team are amazing at what they do. They are excellent people to work with and it certainly shows in the end product. Working with Liz was a real pleasure, she listened to all my requests/concerns and brought in her years of experience to make both my engagement shoot look and my wedding day look be amazing, exactly what I asked for :). She has an amazing team working with her. They know how to work well under pressure and make it seem like it's easy-peasy. I loved their attention to detail and their time management ability, they stuck to their schedule and there were no delays, even when some of the bridesmaids didn't show up on time. I can't say enough great things about Liz and her team. I would highly recommend them to be your team on your wedding day.

Liz and her team were excellent. My hair is very fine and silky, and I've always struggled to find formal hairdos that work well. To make matters more complicated, I've always felt more confident wearing my hair down, so that's what I was hoping to do. However, the forecast was calling for hot and humid conditions, so I was very worried about how well a down style would hold. Liz allowed me to try both an updo and a down do at my trial. As it turned out, I absolutely loved the updo. Liz worked her magic and created an updo that was SOOO beautiful and elegant. I received tons of compliments on how pretty my hair looked. When looking back at photos from the wedding, I still can't believe how well it turned out. The makeup was also gorgeous. Only two of my bridesmaids had asked to get their makeup done prior to the wedding day, but after seeing how great the makeup looked that day, 4 other bridesmaids asked to get theirs done as well (and Liz's team squeezed them all in!). All in all, Liz and her team are absolute masters of their craft. You will not regret booking them!

Throughout the wedding process I spent some time with Liz because my hair is very fine and doesn't really like to cooperate and hold a curl. Naturally, I wanted my hair half up-half down to really give Liz a challenge (joking, but I really did want half up-half down). Instead of trying to talk me into a style that would be easier, Liz worked her magic and created the perfect style for me that stayed beautiful all night long (even after air guitaring and head banging for Bohemian Rhapsody, so that's quite impressive)! In addition to being an amazing stylist, Liz is an all around great person. I loved spending time with her and her family, and really felt like we were friends, not just vendor and client. I really recommend hiring Liz for all your future hair events!

Liz was super fabulous !!!! I never stopped getting complements all night long on my hair style . Even the photographer had to take pictures of my hair. Liz also styled my daughter's hair( the Bride) as well as the Maid of Honor. I would without a doubt reccomend Liz !!! Nancy Mother of The Bride ☺️

I am yet to be married, but Liz has done my hair on several different occasions. Her talent goes beyond your hair needs. She is so knowledge on all things weddings, and has seen just about everything. She is so friendly, and always willing to go above and beyond what is expected of her. She is very intuitive, and knows exactly how to make your vision for your wedding hair come to life. She is an amazing artist, and an even better person. You would be so lucky to have her as your stylist for your wedding. I would definitely recommend her for any of your hair needs.

I could not have been happier with the quality of work Liz and her team gave me for my wedding day! Liz was very organized from the moment we first corresponded. She has a lot of experience in the industry, and I felt like I could trust her work. She really cared about giving me exactly the hairstyle I wanted that reflected who I was and how I wanted to feel on my special day, and she worked with me to talk through all the details of what I wanted! And she delivered above and beyond the day of. It was enjoyable to talk with her her team as they did hair and makeup. They were a kind and calming presence. My hair stayed secure and comfortable the whole day and night. If you want to work with someone who has tons of experience, is kind, caring and a calming presence, and will do your hair to absolute perfection, Liz is your gal!

Liz and her team are truly amazing at what they do. I was a bride without a Pinterest board, who hadn't thought much about what I wanted my hair and make up to look like until Liz asked me to send some inspirational photos. For all of my fellow curly-haired brides - Liz is not afraid of curly hair and has so much experience with it that I had no worries turning the reins over to her! She helped me figure out a similar style to one of the photos I sent that would work best for my hair type and texture and actually enhanced my curls. Make-up wise I wanted to look like the best version of myself - fresh but not overly done up. Even my husband who originally told me I didn't need make-up (lol) thought it looked amazing. Plus both Liz and Mariana were so personable and easy to talk to that it made both the trial and getting ready on the day very relaxing and fun. Hair and make-up even started a little earlier than planned which meant some extra time for pictures and zero stress for me! I would absolutely recommend Liz and her team.

Words cannot express how amazing Liz and her team did on our wedding day. She really went above and beyond by staying to assist with last minute dressing issues and even assisting with my mother in-laws hair, which was above and beyond the call of duty. The getting ready atmosphere was super chill and relaxing, great conversations and the ladies were set up and ready to work! Everything was on-time and they were extremely flexible with last minute changes. I would highly recommend her again and again!

Liz and her team were fantastic. She was very helpful through the process and made me and my party look fabulous. Here "mama"-type personality was very reassuring on the morning of my wedding.

Liz did an amazing job on my updo - making plain, boring hair look absolutely stunning! She made me feel just beautiful! She also brought in a very talented makeup artist, and together, they gave me a soft, natural, romantic, dazzling look! She and her team were fun, professional, and really listened and adapted to what I wanted. I would recommend them to anyone!

Liz was so wonderful to work with for my daughter’s wedding!! It was such a joy to have her with us on that special day! My daughter’s hair looked phenomenal as well as mine and everyone else that she did. I would suggest Liz to any bride looking for an excellent , personable and professional stylist!

Liz and her team are now family. We had the best time with them! They are organized and on time and the website with the dashboard of each member of the bridal party was perfect. They were organized and on point on the day of. Everything went smoothly and they were SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL DAY I would suggest using this vendor. We felt like princesses and not ONE hair was out of place for our photos hours later. We danced and cried and laughed for over 12 hours of Wedding Day fun, and looks AB FAB til the very end. YASSSSS LIZ!

Liz and her team are all so amazing! I wasn’t even going to get my make up done originally and decided last minute being the matron of honor I didn’t have time to do my own! They worked me in and even did my little girls hair ❤️ They were so sweet and nice! I had a few restrictions on how my hair could be done and they had no issues working around that. I also never get up dos and they did a great job on a simple and romantic hairstyle that looked great on all of us! I can’t say enough good things about Liz and her entire team! They made my baby sisters dream day extra beautiful and I can’t thank them enough!

Liz and her team are absolutely amazing! I was extremely selective about who I wanted to use for my wedding and bridal portraits and am so happy I found her. I couldn’t have asked for more, Liz is extremely talented at what she does. She is very professional, personal, and in tune to what her bride wants. Thankfully she has fantastic makeup artists, so I didn’t have to hassle with the stress of finding someone. She was easily able to handle my handful of ladies needing hair & makeup as well! I Highly recommend Liz!

Liz is absolutely the best! She has so much experience and knows exactly what to do in every situation. My hair was a mess the morning of my wedding and she turned it into a masterpiece!! I am so in love with the final styles of me and my bridesmaids! I would recommend her to every single person I know. :D

They really did a great job getting all 12 of my girls’ hair and makeup done in a timely manner, and by timely manner I mean 4 hours for all my girls!!! They were fabulous and kept me and my girls laughing all morning.

Liz is so talented! My hair was a half-up, half down style with braids and loose curls. She also placed baby's breath in my hair as I requested instead of a veil. I LOVED my hair! My bridesmaids and mom' s hair looked gorgeous as well! THANK YOU LIZ!

Liz was incredible! She and her two girls did a great job on me, my bridesmaids, and my mom's hair. They made adjustments depending on hair length/texture, and it all held together despite a humid, rainy afternoon. We also finished ahead of schedule - I've always been told hair and makeup run long, but they kept us on track!

Liz and her two girls were amazing for my wedding last October. We made sure to have plenty of space, mirrors and outlets and they were able to get 10 girls hair done in a few hours. They worked in shifts prepping hair and were very responsive if one of the girls didn't like something. All the girls loved their hair and it all stayed very well throughout the day/night. They were awesome. I highly recommend them.

I can not say enough about Liz. I am not super into hair and makeup but Liz and her team did an amazing job taking care of me and my trial party on my wedding. She was always easy to get in contact with, she worked with any thing I wanted to change or any challenges that came up. I have a friend who has very sensitive skin and Liz and her team made sure my friend was comfortable. Loved her!

Liz is a consummate professional and an absolutely hilarious, wonderful person to be around. The first time we met, we sat and chatted for over an hour, I told her about myself and vice versa. She is genuinely interested in getting to know everyone she meets, which is such a nice treat and so uncommon in this day and age. She is so knowledgeable about hair/makeup/weddings in general and is always willing to share her opinion (in a very kind way!). She is very thorough and very passionate about making every client feel beautiful - you won't leave her chair until you're POSITIVE that you love your hair. I loved mine, I felt beautiful, every stylist was great and happy to be there (despite the hurricane whirling around outside) and all of my bridesmaids, my mom and step-mom felt gorgeous too. I'm so grateful for Liz's talents and her personality - she's a real gem!

Liz did a wonderful both times she did my hair. She was highly recommended. When I went to her from my bridal session, I had no idea how I wanted my hair. I showed her 3 pictures and she used her genius to come up with a great style.

Liz and I hit it off like old friends from the moment we met. We sat in Starbucks for 3 hours talking a little bit about hair and a lot about everything else! ;-) She has a very happy go lucky personality which is very contagious. I really had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair for my wedding because I'm not used to wearing my hair up. However, I knew that I couldn't wear it down since my hair frizzes in humidity and I was getting married in July. Liz had me fill out a very detailed questionnaire about my style and hair texture, then created a Pinterest board for me to pin pics of hairstyles that I liked. It was all somewhat overwhelming for me but she made it so much easier. We played around with a couple of styles at my trial and settled on one, but then after giving it some thought, she changed things up a bit on the wedding day and I loved it even more!!! She is so good at what she does that my hair looked great the entire day. Our ceremony was outdoors in the intense heat and humidity and we took lots of pictures outside before heading inside for the reception. I had sweat dripping from everywhere, but my hair always looked great lol!!! I didn’t have a bridal party, just a matron of honor. But I had my best girl friends, who traveled from far away, come hang out with me in my bridal suite while I was getting ready. Liz kept us all laughing the entire time and even though I hadn’t planned on her doing anyone’s hair but mine and my MOH, she ended up helping all of my friends style their hair. They were all amazed by her as well! I am so grateful to Liz for making me feel like a princess on the most important day of my life and for her genuine friendship. She’s one of a kind!

I have to say not really knowing how to find someone to do my hair for my wedding I feel like I won the lottery finding Liz. From the very beginning of our communication she came across as very knowledgable and experienced. Liz set up a Pintrest page for me and my bridal party making it very easy to pin hair ideas so that she had an idea of what each of us was looking for before I even met with her. At my hair trial she again made me feel very comfortable and made it a collaborative experience. I have thin hair but made my hair look full without any extensions. She took photos of every angle to make sure there would be nothing unexpected on the big day. On the day of my wedding she and her colleague did a fantastic job! They were very professional and personable and even went above and beyond helping calm my 7 yr old niece and making a sign for my reception. She made my bridal party beautiful and I loved my hair and received so many compliments. I would highly recommend Liz and her team!!

Liz and her team of stylists did a wonderful job for my June wedding. There were about 13 girls that needed their hair done and the were able to get this done so smoothly which kept us all relaxed. The hair held up well and they didn't leave until we were all happy with how our hair turned out!
