We rented the 1890s Church and the grounds for our wedding day. It was perfect. Kim was AMAZING and made everything so easy. Me and my girls got ready in the Dodson House - climate controlled, spacious, and only a few short steps from the church! We LOVED being able to ring the church bells too. There are not enough words to describe how grateful we are for Kim and the Farmers Branch Historical Park!
If you're looking for an affordable quaint ceremony venue then this is the perfect place!! We got married back in October 2022 and I could not recommend it enough. The old church was perfect for our ceremony! The location is great (literally within walking distance from our residence). The outside garden area/old church/Dodson house are beautiful and have a ton of places for photo ops. Kim, the manager, is AMAZING and was so helpful the entire way through. THANK YOU KIM!!
An absolutely gorgeous venue. The grounds are beautifully landscaped but also seem rugged. The historical building on site add to the charm. If you need a small quaint church this is your place. I loved everything about and pricing was fair and the staff was very responsive.
This venue was not only adorable and intimate, but it was extremely accommodating for our hectic, rainy day NYE wedding. The staff was so nice and helpful; they were easy to contact and worked to make sure every detail was set in place. This was the perfect venue for our close-knit wedding ceremony!
Kim was amazing to work with. The intimate wedding was beautiful (at the 1890's church). They were very accommodating and helpful, the venue(s) and park were clean, beautiful, and very picturesque. Everything our bride needed and wanted for her special day. Would highly recommend!
The Farmers Branch Historical Park is a beautiful place for a wedding! My daughter was married in the 1890’s church and reception in the Dodson House. It’s a DIY venue but there’s not much decorating to do because of the natural beauty of the place. Kim went above and beyond to make my daughter’s dream wedding come true. It is truly a gem in such a big city.
Farmer's Branch Historical Park was the perfect place to hold our small wedding. We were welcomed to ask as many questions as we liked, and Kim really went the extra distance to make sure everything we needed was available for us. It was very cost efficient too! There was lots of room for us to carry out our plans and decorations. We highly recommend this place!
Best wedding venue ever!!! My wedding ceremony was simply amazing!!! Mrs. Kim Jolly Chapman and staff did a wonderful job assisting me through the entire wedding process. The park grounds were amazing and the church’s style and history made my vintage glam wedding vison come to life.
Thank you Farmers Branch Historical Park!!!!
Please stop by and take a look!!! It’s worth it🥰
I just had my wedding in the branch and it felt like a fairytale to me. The venue itself is gorgeous and is blooming with flowers and greenery. It is also a huge venue that gives you many opportunities to take fun or romantic wedding pictures. The bathrooms have just been remodeled and it looks amazing! We had our wedding in the Old Church within the venue and the church felt intimate and beautiful. It is teeming with so much history and character. It feels amazing getting married in a structure that so many other couples have been united in. The church has a piano one can use during the ceremony, and it is traditional for the bride and groom to pull the rope at the entrance of the church and ring the church bells at the end of the ceremony! Originally our plan was to have our reception in the beautiful gazebo area, but a storm the night before my wedding made that impossible. Although I was devastated by the storm, the team at the venue did everything in their power to make sure that my wedding remain just as special. Luckily the venue offers a backup plan for the gazebo area which is the Dodson House. The house is beautiful and cozy but pretty spacious for a small wedding. It is also air-conditioned which is ideal for wedding in the summers. Kim Chapman who is in charge of the area is an amazingly kind and patient woman. She walked me and my husband through the entire process, made recommendations for a wedding block at a hotel, and got us our sound permit at no additional costs. Multiple times she and the staff have given us tours of the venue so that we could show our parent and in-laws our vision for the wedding. At the wedding Kim Chapman, gave us a beautiful gift from the venue's gift shop to always remember our special day. Also, the venue gives you the options to buy and engrave a brick to be installed onto the venue so that you could leave your mark for only $50. The cost of the venue was affordable especially with the significant discount they give you if you do a room block in one of their listed hotels in Farmers Branch. My wedding did not go exactly as plan, but it was even better than I thought it could be, and in a place radiating with such beauty and history, you can't go wrong. Overall, I cannot imagine a better place in all of Texas to have a wedding.
Steve and I got married in the chapel on the premises and it was exactly right for our small ceremony. People found it easily and the handicap ramp was great for my Mom. The staff was helpful, the place was ready and the price was right. What a blessing!
Working with the staff at the FB Historical Park could not have been easier. They bent over backwards to make sure everything looked beautiful for my wedding day! The grounds are beautifully maintained and so many of our guests commented on what a unique location it was. We had our ceremony for 75 guests in the garden and our brunch reception under a tent on the meadow, with our cake and gift table in the Dodson House. Kim was easy to communicate with and worked seamlessly with my wedding coordinator, even when we added our tent last minute. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! Don't pass up this venue!
Venue was simply beautiful. My wedding day was purely magical! It couldn't of happen with out the help of Kim. She was on top of everything she ensured all my vendors were setup and good to go for wedding day.
Everyone was so helpful and willing to work with us. the place was great for taking pictures and the chapel was dreamy, old style 1800s, we spruced it up and it came to life! I definitely recommend getting married there, lots of photo ops and everyone is so friendly and helpful, budget-friendly and memorable.
