We booked the cello/piano duo for our outdoor wedding ceremony in May and it was amazing! I loved being able to listen to samples of the songs and see what songs other couples had chosen for their ceremonies. We also took advantage of the option to add a microphone for the officiant so the guests could all hear the ceremony and our vows. I'm so glad we booked with Dave!

Dave did an amazing job at our ceremony. We got married at the Stifel Theatre, they were able to supply a piano for him. Dave was able to meet with us the week of to discuss the order of events for our ceremony. He was timely day of, met with our officiant and ran over the timeline with him. The pre-ceremony music was excellent and our pre-set ceremony music was great. Everything was timed perfectly. We both thought he did an amazing job and added another touch of elegance to the ceremony. Would highly recommend him to any other couples looking for live music for your wedding!!

David did an amazing job playing the piano at my mom’s 80th birthday party! Leading up the the event, he was very responsive and made sure he knew what kind of music we wanted him to play. Dave was amazing to work with!! We had several meetings before our wedding day. He had a massive list of songs for us to pick from as well as samples of each song for us to choose from. In addition, I requested for him to play a song that was not on his current list and he knocked it out of the ballpark! I highly recommend booking!!

My wedding was just Saturday, but I didn’t get a chance to chat just a simple wave! First my day of coordinator said he was on time, then she said he checked the piano at the venue and said it sounded like shit lol 😂 but thankfully when we were in the process of booking with him I kinda heard it was bad but I said let’s just wait. Two days before my wedding he emailed me about it and I totally forgot. So I told him to bring it just in case and he sounded amazing 🤩. I had a friend tell me how good he did while everyone was getting seated. Also, he was recommended to me by my venue! I would definitely book him again for a event!

I agree with other reviews, Dave was a pleasure to I work with and his music is absolutely beautiful! I had him play at my Catholic wedding and felt so confident knowing that he was familiar with the mass and music - the entire ceremony went seamlessly. I picked traditional songs based on samples from his website and loved them! It was hard to choose as everything sounds amazing and so heartfelt. I received so many compliments on the music and his vocalist that days I am so honored they played at my wedding! You MUST have them play at your wedding! Thank you Dave!

You NEED this guy at your wedding ceremony! I have always known I wanted live music at my ceremony, so I hade high expectations. David exceeded them. The beautiful sound of the piano/cello duo added so much to the overall ambience of the moment. He has a huge repertoire to choose from and he did an amazing job taking my idea of the feel I wanted and running with it. The only regret I have of my whole wedding is that I didn't get to fully enjoy their pre-ceremony music because I was getting ready in a separate building. I had so many guests tell me it was beautiful!

We decided a bit last minute on wanting a pianist for our ceremony music, so we hopped on The Knot to see what vendors we could find and who was available. We landed on Dave and he was absolutely incredible from the start. His professionalism and response time is the best out there. He has a very extensive repertoire of songs with so many different styles of music to choose from. I even requested a song not part of his current repertoire and he was willing to purchase the sheet music and learn the piece for the big day. Dave did the MOST INCREDIBLE JOB with all of the music for the ceremony from pre-ceremony music to the preludes to the procession and recession. Both my husband and I were actually a bit disappointed we did not get to see or thank Dave in person due to the busy-ness of the day. If you are considering hiring someone to play music for your big day, whether that be at your ceremony or cocktail hour, this is your guy!

David was SO easy to work with and his music was SO beautiful. Obviously planning a wedding during Covid had it’s difficulties and David was so flexible and understanding. We are so very thankful to the HämmerString Piano and Cello Duo (+Trio) for bringing such a wonderful ambiance to our wedding day. Having a mix of classical and contemporary music was very important to us as we needed talented musicians that could entertain our guests during our Cocktail Hour, Ceremony and Reception. We were seeking different styles of music for each section of our day, and I loved the versatility of this ensemble. Dave (piano), Jake (cello) and Brian (percussion) performed wonderfully. This group of musicians plays beautifully! We received many complaints on the music as well it brought tears to my grandmothers eyes during the Ave Maria. For our ceremony we had the piano & cello duo for most songs, incorporating vocals into responsorial psalms, Ave Maria, etc. We also hired David for piano at our cocktail hour. David was very easy to work with, communication is key to a bride and his responses were near immediate every time I emailed. Pricing is reasonable especially for the quality you get! I’d recommend them to anyone, in fact one of my best friends hired David for her wedding this March.

I hired David Becherer to play during my daughters wedding ceremony . We actually had the hammer string duo ( piano and cello). They were outstanding! Family members had arrived early to the church and were texting us saying how beautiful the music was . So beautiful, the priest asked them to stay after so that he could record a few of their songs! Outstanding and beautiful are two words I'd use to describe Wedding Music by Dave Becherer. We hired Dave and Jake to do a piano/cello duo for our wedding ceremony music. From the prelude to the recessional, every note was truly beautiful to hear during our ceremony. Our guests said they absolutely loved the music and it certainly made this bride cry as I walked down the aisle to it. Dave and Jake even let us hear the songs with them prior to our big day when we wanted to make sure we liked everything. They are very professional, kind, and talented musicians. David and his wife, Kim, were amazing. Only one month before our ceremony I was in a bind. Our church's musical director unexpectedly backed out, and ceremony music was one small detail that I took on to help ease the burden on my stressed out fiance. I found David on the Knot, and went to his website to learn more about him. His website was the best I saw, he had comprehensive lists of the songs he has played, examples of musical selections from other weddings, and plenty of samples to listen to. He was obviously talented enough, and I was desperate. I sent a quick message asking for a price quote. He responded very quickly via email, and we are so lucky he was still available for our date. Communication was quick and seamless, and I felt a huge load off knowing we'd still have skilled musicians for our ceremony. It was easy to pay online, send him musical selections via email, and have a couple quick conversations. David came to our rehearsal to get a feel for our space, and he was also ready to roll with the punches when our church was being weird about using their piano: "Not a problem, I've got a keyboard and amp that sound a lot better than most church pianos." In the end, David ended up using the church's piano, and it sounded incredible. He's truly a virtuoso, and Kim shines as a soloist. Our guests marveled at the theme from Beauty and the Beast and Pride and Prejudice during the prelude to our ceremony. David and Kim were classy, fantastic, and truly impressive without shifting the focus of our ceremony to themselves. All of my interactions with David were highly professional and enjoyable, and I can't recommend he and Kim enough!

My husband and I were so happy with the performance of Dave at our ceremony and cocktail hour a few weekends ago. He was so great to work with and very accommodating! David played for our outdoor wedding ceremony on Saturday, and I couldn't be happier! I knew I needed to book him when I saw Queen songs on his wedding repertoire! Everyone loved how he played "Somebody to Love" for the bridesmaids' processional. He also played the opening song from Pride and Prejudice for the seating of the mothers, which was perfect for my mom since she and I love that movie! And, for just a bit more $, he rehearsed a song with my maid of honor the day before, and then seamlessly accompanied her singing at the wedding. Everything went off like a dream. :) :) :)

We had a very traditional catholic ceremony and David worked with our priest to ensure the order of the mass/ceremony was perfect. Kim has the most beautiful voice! She sung Ave Maria while I was walking down the aisle and it was absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend the "Songbird Duo" with David and Kim.

Dave was great and easy to work with

We absolutely LOVED our ceremony music played by David and his friend. We really wanted a piano/cello duo and we searched and searched for one until we almost gave up... Then one night, we found them on the knot. I contacted him that night and he got right back to me! We wanted very specific songs and he made sure that was exactly what we got. He had an event in St Louis prior to ours but he made it to our ceremony in plenty of time to start the prelude music. He kept in touch well and even texted/emailed to keep me up to date on where he was when he traveled to our location. We were very pleased with everything. Our wedding was outside on a pretty windy day and they still made it happen... Even if it meant they held their music with their teeth. I have absolutely no regrets! And if you're wondering if it's worth the extra money.... Let me just do you a favor and tell you, IT IS! I highly recommend you cutting a corner somewhere else! Thanks again for everything, David!
