ngs outside in my 25 years of experience, and I have never experienced this. Your processional was all one song with you entering near the end of the song. The wedding began late and my set up was in the direct sun, so sadly the Ipad overheated just as you were set to enter. I was devastated as well. I do always bring a backup Ipad, but since the song was near the end and the Ipad overheated just as you were set to enter it would have been difficult and time consuming to change over and try and find where we were in the song. Thankfully I was able to play the recessional music as requested and the wireless mic worked flawlessly. It was certainly not what I would have hoped for, and in retrospect there are things I will do for the future to prevent something like this happening again. Direct sunlight on hot days is mentioned in the contract, but I was trying to keep my footprint small due to the restricted space on the pier so I set up with no cover. In retrospect I should have known better, but I have never had this happen so I assumed it would be ok. I truly apologize for that. I am thankful that the entire wedding party made their way before the Ipad shut down. :( During the dancing portion of your reception, the songs you asked me to skip were on your playlist so I assumed you wanted me to play them. When you motioned for me to skip them I did that smoothly and immediately as you asked. I am always watching my clients to be sure they are happy with what is playing. Again, I am very sad that this happened and I will make changes to my process for the future to be sure that it does not happen again. Technology is awesome, but it can-on rare occasions- be glitchy. Experienced DJs learn from mistakes and make changes to prevent future issues. Please accept my heartfelt apology. Blessings for your future together, Michael

t your wedding. It is always crucial to me personally to make sure that my clients are elated with our services on one of the most important days of their life together. As you mentioned, we work very hard to learn about our client's vision for the perfect event, from the time of our first contact and throughout the planning process. After every wedding we also send out a follow up asking clients to review us so that we can always learn from them and improve on our services. In my 25 years of weddings, your review is the first time that I have ever received a negative review for my personal services at a wedding. (across all sites online) You can rest assured that I take your review to heart. I have gone back and researched every part of our communication and all of the videos we took at your wedding as well. (see the link to those videos and photos at the bottom) I plan to review our procedures from top to bottom to assure that we are better than we have ever been. Regardless or their experience and talent, no entertainer will be a good fit for all clients. We do our best to determine if we have the right DJ for the client's needs and are happy to recommend other companies when we feel like we will not be a great fit. I do recall your asking to move through songs more rapidly, not allowing them to play for long. I don't think I fully understood how short you wanted the songs to be. Normally at weddings the guests like to hear much of the song before making a transition. Rapid transitions and remixes are a Club/Hip-Hop/EDM DJ strategy. I can admit that it is something I am not personally accustomed to. In the hundreds of weddings I have done myself I have never been asked to do this to the extent that you seem to have wanted. I work hard to make sure my transtions are smooth and the dance floor remains active, but quick transitions are not my personal style. I will be more careful to discuss this in greater detail with future clients to be sure we are accomodating. In looking back over all of the videos, and the song requests you gave me I can assure you without any doubt that I played the majority of your requests. If I had to guess, I would say with a fair amount of certainty that I got to all of them. As you can see in the dancing videos, you and your guests seemed to be having a great time with the music selections. However, I learned long ago to be sure that I play a clients requested songs, regardless of their effect on the dance floor. I always, always make it a point to get requested songs in rotation. I also recall playing many songs that were requested by guests at the event. It is easy for newlyweds to miss some of those songs while they are mingling with family and friends. I recall you and McKenzie moving back and forth between inside and outside the venue often (understandably) and you may have missed some of your requests in that way. I always try to touch base with clients throughout the evening to make sure that they are happy. I don't recall you mentioning being unhappy at all on the day of your event. In fact, your negative reviews on Google, The Knot, and Wedding Wire this Saturday are the first indication that I had that you were not happy with me or Jesse. I would have loved to do everything possible on your big day to make you happy, believe me. A vendor does not get the kind of reviews that we have by being apathetic or complacent. We work very hard to get it right every time. Regarding the wedding party processional, I have a video of that and can see that the song ended just as the last young lady was escorting the little ring bearer into the aisle. I think we were all focused on how sweet the child was, but I do apologise for that momentary lapse, even though it was brief. The walk from the screen room to the aisle was quite long, but the aisle was short. I will include the video of the bridal procession in the link below as well. I do recall something happening regarding your last dance. I know the coordinator was struggling to move the guests to the exit location to allow you the private dance. It took quite some time to get guests to move from the dance floor to line up for the exit. They were very enthusiastic and did not want to leave the dance floor. It may be that in the confusion of the moment I missed something there, or the time had elapsed allowing for a private dance. If so, please accept my deepest apologies. I would never skip something like that intentionally. My assistant on your event works hard to help me, and always goes above and beyond to help our clients as well. I have shared your review with him and his heart is broken as mine. He will be much more careful about where he sits and when he visits the buffet in the future, though it is hard for me to imagine him causing hardship intentionally. He and his parents spent several years on the South Dakota reservation ministering to the Lakota tribe in the harshest of conditions. Jesse is a beautiful soul that cares deeply for people of all nationalities. Once again, thank you for the insight and my heartfelt apologies that you or your family were not elated with my services.
