Wedding Officiant for Love

I had a feeling I should have found someone else from a lot of the comments she made during our video calls! She asked who I had walking me down the aisle and when i told her it was my dad she told me I was sexist because “both of my parents had a part in raising me, therefore they both should be walking me down” She also told me that she doesn’t say you may kiss the bride. She is against that, it’s over rated. When she first typed up the ceremony it didn’t even make sense! It talked about moving across the world for each other (my husband and I met in high school), talking about loving Nutella (my husband and I don’t even like Nutella) and how our rings are for towel fighting?? I had to get my sister to completely re write the whole thing! I had told her that I wanted a Christian based ceremony! I sent her exactly what I wanted word for word after my sister fixed it! She told me it didn’t sound humane and was awkward to read and decided to make changes. She then refused to show me the changes made and sent me an email of how she is just going to assume that I will like it! I told her that I am not assuming anything for one of the biggest days of my life! She then sent me a rude email back about how she has been doing this for years and that I just need to trust her. She does not care about what you want! She does what she wants! On my wedding day she was very nasty with multiple of my guests and my day of coordinator! She messed up the grooms name! His name is Taylor (not even a hard name to say). I had a videographer recording and will be glad to share it when I get it back! I decided to do a sand ceremony. When it was my turn, I poured half in. She told me to pour the rest. I said it’s only supposed to be half. She said “well you are all in aren’t you?” in the nastiest voice in front of everyone! Everyone’s jaw dropped. It was so embarrassing! She had a mic on for the video! When realized that she messed up she didn’t know what to do. It was so obvious. When she realized I wasn’t supposed to pour in all of my sand her response was “oh I see! It was only supposed to be half.” She went completely off the script to try and cover the mistake! She did a terrible job! When I would look over at her during the ceremony as she talking, she would yell at me to look back at my husband. At the very end she pronounced us married and didn’t even say you may kiss the bride. She had a script right in front of her and still messed everything up! When my husband’s mom approached her to tell her we were upset, she didn’t even apologize. She got said everyone makes mistakes! My photographer even told my husband and I that he has done thousands of weddings and that she was the worst officiant he has ever seen! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON HER!!!! You will regret it!
