One thing we really loved was how she stayed within our budget and I never worried about having to sacrifice a lot to achieve my dream wedding aesthetic. Additionally, when I told her about my concern having my cat at the wedding (who loves to eat all flowers) she made sure that the faux flowers would be stunning and that incorporating non-toxic flowers in case my cat nibbled on them would not result in an emergency visit to the vet! We loved the flowers they did for other weddings so we hired WS for flowers too. Although we already hired our day-of coordinator elsewhere, Jackie gave us a planning package to ensure we got our money’s worth. She helped communicate with other vendors, and she worked with the coordinator so there wasn’t conflict. She responded to every email and phone call quickly and showed up on time to every meeting. On the wedding day, the weather threatened rain during the outdoor ceremony. Upon Jackie’s advice, we moved the ceremony indoors—and it was still beautiful because of her floral arrangements and the flower arch she brought last minute, free of charge. Bridesmaids, mothers, and others did hair and makeup. One bridesmaid wishes she could’ve brought her own foundation to use because she thought her makeup was too light for her skin, but she still loved how she looked. Bridesmaids complimented the makeup artist for being super gentle. Bridesmaids loved their hair. Everyone got a different style that suited them. One bridesmaid has curly hair and didn’t want a flat iron anywhere near it. As promised, Jackie didn’t use a flat iron, and she checked whether supplies and tools were OK to use. I loved my bridal hair and makeup. My eyes water easily but the makeup artist mitigated that. I didn’t need any makeup touch ups during the day, other than lipstick here and there. I usually don’t wear makeup but I still felt like myself, just more glamorous. I loved how my hair turned out, and I don’t think I needed hair touch ups. WS did alterations for my dress (purchased elsewhere), and it fit perfectly. Because the wedding moved indoors, I had to walk on carpet. We soon realized my dress HATES carpet. Within minutes, WS did alterations so my dress wouldn’t snag on carpet. Everyone was impressed with how quickly the alterations were done. WS provided a petticoat, and it helped my dress look amazing during the first dance. For flowers, I originally wanted blue to match wedding colors. Jackie advised that based on flower availability, it would be better to do mostly white flowers with blush and blue accents. We trusted her expert vision, so we deferred to her. All the flowers were spectacular. Many guests wanted to take flowers home. I am preserving my bouquet so I can keep it forever. Some things went wrong. There was rain, miscommunication, and overly enthusiastic guests being where they weren’t supposed to be. Jackie mitigated the issues as best as she could. When I was overwhelmed by guests coming down to the getting ready area, she politely ushered them away. With Jackie, I knew if I had a problem, I could hand it to her to resolve with minimal stress on my part. After the wedding, there was a significant issue with the honeymoon suite that Jackie helped book. When I informed Jackie, she immediately contacted the hotel and ensured we were compensated. We greatly enjoyed our experience with WS. If anyone asks for wedding advice, our first tip will be to contact Jackie.

I felt so bad that her team had to make up for lots of things that didn’t go as planned but she made it work like magic. It’s a must to hire a wedding planner who knows how to get things done, and she is THE ONE. Highly recommend. Plus, she decorated my cake, reception tables, and welcome table with some left over flowers and the decorations she brought. Couldn’t ask for more!

FREAKISHLY AMAZING AT WHAT THEY DO! During the hair and makeup trial, all the staff were extremely friendly and makes you feel like you are the only person in the world getting married! And I looked freakin amazing! They really put a lot of emphasis on details and think about how the flow of the wedding can effect the hair and makeup on the day of and we talked a lot back and forth in person, over emails about various details. The attention to details really REALLY made a difference and I was so comfortable on the day of the wedding. My makeup stayed in place, my hair stayed in place, I cried and my makeup still stayed in place... it was just a fairytale! I also did my flowers through them. I gave my budget for my flower and we got what I wanted, and we stayed VERY close to my budget! On the day of the flowers looked so beautiful and the staff came in, put everything together very smoothly. Our conversations about the flowers also made the day of extremely smooth. They taught one of our groomsmen how to take the flowers from the arch and inside to use for other things. The whole experience with them was just very unexpectedly, extremely welcoming, professional and just very well done! THEY KNOW THEIR $h!t!!

Anytime I asked something from the team, they would immediately act on it. Jackie made sure we stayed within our timeline by letting us know when and where we had to be. She even gathered the wedding party and family members and made sure they lined up in the correct order a head of time so we can start the reception on time. Wedding Story truly made our day relaxing and enjoyable and I highly recommend them if you are planning a wedding!

I thought I was an easy-going girl but closer to the wedding date I could hardly keep my words about almost everything I said. I called to reschedule appointments, complained here and there about my personal life, even asked last minute to change my rehearsal dinner dress. Yet no complaints or extra charges for those hours of me on the phone. Thanks to Jackie and her staffs, I survived and happily married. Second, the Wedding Story knows it all. I had my flowers & decoration by other vendors who had personal relationships with either me or my mom. Well, things happen at the last minute and I had to look for another vendor to do my flowers at affordable price. Of course, I was stressed and called Jackie for help. She was able to give me a list of affordable florists who are in the area and I had beautiful flowers for my wedding! I've asked millions of questions and they answered it ALL. Third, the Wedding Story has beautiful dress and jewelry selections for different body types. I have a long torso so I was concerned about picking out the dress. Well, I have to say it took us about 2 hours trying on different dresses but found the one that I got complimented by every guest on my wedding day. It was one of a kind and all loved it! I can go on and brag my experiences with the Wedding Story here but you should definitely make an appointment for a consultation. I would do another events with the Wedding Story in the future. Highly recommend this vendor for not just the wedding but other events including Baby's 1st year birthday, anniversary, and parent's birthdays, and more.

So I called a fourth time and was greeted by the wrong name and then told she was busy with client again. dont understand why they couldnt schedule a time to talk at another time. Decided to go with someone else. Very Dissapointing

Later I found out that there were unexpected issues that I was not aware of (guests showing up without rsvp...etc.) but Jackie and her team took care of it without me knowing. Throughout the entire day, I did not have to worry about a thing and I could just enjoy every moment of our special day. Also, we planned for an outdoor ceremony but it rained in the morning. Jackie constantly checked the weather and waited until the last minute. I really appreciated this because she could just simply set it up inside rather than waiting and rushing to set things up at the last minute. But she knew how much I wanted to have an outdoor ceremony and waited for me. Around 3 pm, rain finally stopped and Jackie set up the ceremony outside quickly. Everything was perfect. Also, Wedding Story has a large selection of high quality wedding dress and tux at affordable price. The staff even altered the tuxedo pants several times until the fit is exactly right. Overall, our wedding turned out to be perfect and we received so many compliments on our wedding. This was all possible because of Jackie and her professional coordinator team. I highly recommend Wedding Story to any brides in DC metro area. Their service was worth every $$$.

(2) Photo/Video: We enjoyed all our photo sessions with our photographer, Mr. Lee. He will make sure he gets enough pictures by staying over time. We got our videos turned around real fast, and it captured all the main moments of our wedding day. Highly recommend it. Again, ask for their package deal. (3) DJ/MC: Eddie and his team was just awesome! Best investment we made out of all~ Our guests enjoyed 4 full hours of our reception thanks to these guys. It was his first wedding performance in the US so he wanted to do things "his" way. The photographer also worked very hard on our wedding day. Now I'm waiting for our pictures.
