she was about what she does. She catered to our needs and complicated schedules. She was not pushy at all about how many classes we need and really left it up to us (we ended up adding a few extra classes just cause we really wanted to perfect our dance). She is very detail oriented but also easy to follow. I remember that at each of our sessions she would immediately catch where our mistake was and correct us in the simplest and easiest to follow way. The choreography was HERS but she really made the dance OURS. Choreographing our first dance was such an amazing experience and I highly recommend it to anyone getting married! It felt like we were dating all over again right before our big day.

We ended up doing not one but TWO lifts our first dance and our guests were in awe. r first dance look nice. We did the 5 lesson package in this short time. Anne-marie was always quick to respond and very flexible with scheduling. During lessons, she was patient with us and never appeared annoyed when we were slow to master a new step. The lessons became almost like a therapy for us, and we never thought we would love dancing so much! We had a blast taking these lessons and our dance turned out amazing. in terms we could both understand. For those new to ballroom (like us!), I highly recommend the suggested package of 5 lessons. The first was so preliminary for us but the fifth was just cleaning it up and running it through. I was so happy and my new husband was thrilled with how the first dance went (and coming from a man who rarely gets on the dance floor, this is the highest compliment). e is awesome to work with -- dry humor, gets down to business, but also so much fun. She creative a fantastic dance with us, including lifts, and people were screaming during our 1st dance! It was so memorable! We also loved the experience of taking lessons. We only needed 3 sessions with her and she created a dance routine that went so well with our first song and also made us look like we were pro dancers without us feeling stressed about the dance itself. We also were very last minute, starting the dance lessons with less then a month to go before the wedding but she made us feel at ease. She knows simple yet beautiful dance moves that really complimented our first dance and we had lots of fun twirls incorporated into the dance as well as ending with a spectacular dip! Anne Marie was so patient with us and helped break down every step to show us exactly how to do it and she gave us a great intro and dip finale. We had a ton of fun dancing in the lessons and at our wedding and our guests said we didn't look rehearsed or stiff at all. Her schedule was pretty flexible so it was easy to set up lessons too. One of the best experiences in our wedding planning by far.

She kept us on point and let us know exactly what we needed to work on. All the wedding guests said we looked great and there was so much applause at the end of our dance. What fun! AnneMarie has an amazing package for 5 lessons (all you really need for 1 dance) - definitely ask her about it and take advantage of it! My husband and I loved learning to dance so much that we are considering taking group lessons to expand our repetoire of dance moves.

She helped us choose the right song based on a few options, and helped us to adjust our timing to suit our skill level. She moved at a modest pace so we could feel comfortable before we learned a new step, and by the last lesson, she helped prepare a guide for how best to move through the steps we learned during our first dance. Instruction was one-on-one, and she was very accommodating with our busy schedule. I am so glad we decided to take the lesson, as it brought my husband and I an opportunity during the planning, to take a few minutes for ourselves and just be in the moment.

nal dancers over a week but sure made us not look awkward during our first dance. It might be one of the best touches of our wedding. We went with the Viennese Waltz and it while not too complicated we looked naturally rehearsed for our first dance. Ann-Marie is very easy to work with, very professional and very patient. She is very elegantly moving herself which helps for the visual learners to pick up on as well. We enjoyed working with her so much. I recommended my colleague to Ann-Marie and also had a very positive experience.

If we didn't quite get a step, she'd patiently go over it again until we got it and if we forgot something from one week to the next, she'd go over it again with a smile on her face. She choreographed a fun first dance for us and then spent a few weeks (we did one lesson/week) teaching us other dance styles so we could dance nonstop on our big day. If you're thinking about dance lessons, definitely meet with Anne-Marie.

We had two left feet, often couldn't hear the beat and we ended up leaving her classes looking like we could have competed in a ballroom dance competition with our dance. We initially chose 5 lessons with Anne-Marie but she was so lovely to work with that we decided to get 5 more to perfect and tweak our dance. When we finally got to perform our dance at our wedding reception we felt confident and happy and it went off beautifully. We got a standing ovation and everyone was so amazed that we had a full lift included at the end. ong dance lessons. She was very easy to work with and a consummate professional who taught us both basic and increasingly complex moves at our own pace and in simple, comprehensible terms. Week/Hour One: Learn how to lead and be led, a basic rumba box step with “Into the Mystic” playing in the background, and an entrance plus spin onto the dance floor. Go home and practice together every day until it’s second nature (or at least until we aren’t looking at the floor with each step). Week/Hour Two: Build on slow-slow-quick-quick box, add a fifth position break, two chains, two 90 degree boxes, promenade spins, a grapevine, pivots, spins and the dramatic dip/resolve before making our dance floor exit. And guess what -- we danced a great rumba, and now have it (and a cheat-sheet if needed) forever. Our guests could not believe that we had never taken lessons before Anne-Marie! We can easily recommend Anne-Marie to anyone looking to impress their guests and learn dance skills to last a lifetime!
