My wife and I were definitely interested in videography for our wedding, but once we got some quotes and realized it'd be at least $2500 for something better than my cousins walking around with their phones, we investigated this option.
The sit...e and app aren't too difficult to navigate; I wouldn't say intuitive though. Developers: when tagging photos and videos, please find a way to NOT refresh the page and go back to the top.. that was extremely annoying when scrolling through hundreds of photos.
Also, I was surprised to learn that I was going to be responsible for selecting video clips, trimming them, and organizing them into our own video. You can pay an extra $100 or something to have them do this for you, but I was under the impression that that's what I was paying for in the first place. Again, it was cheap, so it's not a big deal, but it definitely surprised me. That was a pretty major project to say the least.
The delivery of the HD cameras was seamless. Nobody had problems downloading the app and uploading content, which was impressive. I must admit though, doing wedding video this way was one of my biggest stressors on our wedding day. Having to send out texts to all my guests telling them to download the app, assigning people to record certain events, and then wondering during those events if someone was filming. WeddingMix does a good job laying all that out for you and giving help, but it's just a flaw to this crowd-sourced method of making a wedding video. I would definitely recommend this to a friend if they're looking for a cheap alternative, but I don't think I would do it again. The stress of being "in charge" of it was not worth it for us. Luckily, my brother and sister in-law had a camera and tripod and were able to capture everything for us (I would highly recommend picking someone to take that responsibility).
Overall, it's a well run company and a viable option for the target market. Thank you for making our wedding video!
