g but it all went very smoothly planning within that 3 months. Marta was very easy to work with and quick to respond both prior to the wedding and throughout the whole day of the wedding. We thought the food was great (we've eaten the food there before though also). We had 165 guests which is a bit much for the cocktail room so we just opened the doors to the dinner room to allow for airflow and some more space which worked out fine. The fact that pretty much all of the big details (venue, DJ, catering, dessert, linen and chairs) were all included made planning in 3 months so much easier. We also loved the DJ! Cory was our DJ and he made the night go smoothly. Also, the music videos playing on the big screen with the music was fun as it added another source of entertainment. We would totally hire Cory for another DJ event.

CDT was accommodating with helping us make sure wheel chairs were available for our old guest that might need it because it is a ramp going down to the wedding area. I suggest putting CDT on your visit list. One suggestion is making sure the lights are white, our photographer had asked for the lights to be white but they never got changed prior to the ceremony starting so many of our photos are black and white (still beautiful) because the lighting was making us look purple-ish. However that still doesn't change our experience, still beyond an amazing night. This is also coming from a couple that was just going to elope, we wouldn't have changed anything and so glad we had our wedding at Chanhassen Dinner Theater.

They were the real heroes behind the scenes, making sure our special day was everything we hoped for and more. We cannot thank them enough for a wonderful, heartfelt wedding.

Finally, the DJ, Tim, was amazing! My husband is a music fanatic and an amateur DJ, and he can be a TOUGH critic! We both just loved working with Tim! He is passionate about his job and it shows! When we were selecting our venue, we loved everything about Chanhassen Dinner Theatres’ wedding reception package. It is so comprehensive, fairly priced, and made the planning process quite a bit easier for us. Jackie, the Wedding & Events Manager, is amazing and is one of the many reasons we selected Chanhassen Dinner Theatres. She was so helpful throughout this entire process. We were also incredibly pleased with the team and vendors that came with the package, such as Corey our DJ, Tim from Minnesota Wedding Party, Buttercream Bakery, and the banquet staff. The ability to play music videos during the dancing portion of the evening was awesome. We added on the Mirror Photo Booth through Minnesota Wedding Party, and it was a huge hit! The photo booth was staffed by Mel, who was so fun and great with our guests. It was a really cool addition that we would highly recommend to others.

The Chanhassen offers a wedding package that is high quality at an affordable price. Beginning with the venue itself, we had our ceremony and dancing in the Club Theatre, cocktail hour in the Garden Room, and dinner in the Banquet Room. The Club Theatre offers a beautiful and unique space for the ceremony, which then later becomes the perfect space for dancing. The Garden Room and the Banquet Room are cozy and intimate spaces for cocktails and dinner. Speaking of dinner, there were numerous options for entrées and they did a great job of customizing the meals to be exactly what we wanted. The dinners were fantastic, we loved our meals and our guests did too! The package includes a good amount of alcohol too – you of course can always add on more if you’d like. The Chanhassen has a partnership with Buttercream Cakes & Desserts, who provided a cutting cake and a cupcake tower. The cutting cake was absolutely delicious and all our guests loved the cupcakes! Throughout every step of the process, we worked with the Chanhassen’s wedding coordinator, Jackie Lovsness. It was an absolute pleasure working with Jackie and we are so happy that she was our coordinator! Jackie is so friendly, so sweet, and truly cared for us as a couple. There was so much planning and so many little details to keep on top of - she made sure it was all done perfectly! On our wedding day, she was super attentive, made sure everything went smoothly, and just overall did anything and everything she could to make the day as perfect as possible. Our DJ was also part of the Chanhassen’s package. We worked with both DJ Tim, prior to the wedding, and DJ Corey, on our wedding day. Both were an absolute pleasure to work with! We met with DJ Tim to begin planning everything related to the music and speeches. DJ Tim is a fountain of knowledge, incredibly responsive to questions, and just a super fun and funny guy! On our wedding day, we worked with DJ Corey. He is incredibly nice, very fun, and great at what he does. He acts not only as a DJ but also as a second coordinator which was so valuable! His songs were great, a wide mix of music that had us all entertained the whole night! He made sure to play our own song requests as well as various requests from our guests. Also he does a very cool thing where music/concert videos play alongside the music on a large screen. It’s super unique and all our guests loved it! We also added on a mirror photo booth through DJ Tim and DJ Corey, which was super cool and unique! Overall, I can’t recommend enough that you have your wedding through the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres! The value is great, the space was perfect, the food was excellent, the dessert was delicious, Jackie is an amazing wedding coordinator, and DJ Tim and DJ Corey are wonderful. Every other person that worked our wedding was great as well! We have received so many compliments from family and friends on how amazing the Chanhassen was as a venue for our wedding and how everything was simply fantastic! Thank you again to everyone at the Chanhassen who played a part in hosting a perfect wedding for us! We wish we could relive it!

a nightclub with music videos playing! He even took us in a special room to “just be married for 5 minutes” and enjoy being wives before greeting everyone. The wait staff was out of this world! They made sure that if we needed anything, we would get it right away. My dress had a small issue and they helped me fix it. It was rather hot during the reception with everyone moving around, so make sure that you don’t have a hot dress like I did. I had to keep leaving the dance floor to cool down and even requested a fan to be placed in the dance room. They did turn up the air but it didn’t help too much, but I think it’s just an old building so they were doing the best they could. But it all worked out because I was able to chat with people more in the hallways and the balcony than I would have if I had been on the dance floor all night. Overall a great venue with amazing staff that truly make it a night to remember. We plan on going back for our anniversaries to enjoy dinner and a show!

, and videographer. They had everything else!! We skipped a florist and made our own centerpieces, but Chanhassen still offered votives as well! We were very happy that they provided a bundle with a local golf course (Bluff Creek) and we had our ceremony there. It was an added fee, but well worth it to get some outdoor pictures and see those fall colors! They set up and tore down everything but the centerpieces we provided, which was fantastic. They also, when we forgot a few pieces of decor, messaged us and let us pick them up a few days later. A note on the outdoor space, make sure to scope it out beforehand! We ended up hiding at the bottom of a hill because I never asked where a good place to hide would be lol But it worked out great regardless! Our venue coordinator showed up and her and the DJ helped the ceremony along flawlessly. Speaking of the venue coordinator, Jackie was great! We originally booked with a different coordinator, but she quit soon after booking us. And the next coordinator also quit before our day. That part was a bit stressful, but Jackie looked over all of their notes and was willing to have a few virtual meetings with us before our final in-person meeting to make sure we were on track! She was quick to respond to messages too. As someone noted, the cocktail hour area was a bit small. We had 150 guests and it was a little cramped! We'd only seen the space fully opened, so we were surprised to see it closed up for that space of time. Luckily, we were a close knit group, so it wasn't the end of the world, and the appetizers (antipasto platters and BBQ pulled pork sliders) were fantastic to make up for it! Once those walls opened up, we all sat down and had an amazing dinner! Chicken Chanhassen was the meal of choice, but I loved the haddock and our vegetarian guests raved about the lasagna! We had our tasting with 6 full dishes, which was amazing, but unfortunately had not tried the lasagna, so we were very happy that it was a hit! We were also told the kids meals were happily devoured and they had enough high chairs and booster seats for all of the toddlers! The bakery, Buttercream Bakery, was absolutely great to work with. The cake was delicious! They do offer gluten-free options (we were able to get 1 gluten-free cupcake along with our 4 tier cake), but little else. Chanhassen, thankfully, worked with us and allowed us to pay extra for dessert from their own menu so we could give a treat to our guests with dairy and nut allergies! Also, I do not know if this has changed, but our package included 2 kegs! After that it was cash bar unless you hosted, but it was a great thing to have! We underestimated our wine drinkers and overestimated our beer drinkers, so we ran out of hosted wine before we got through one keg, but still worth it! Next was dancing. I LOVED that we got to do the first dance and parent dances on stage! I also loved that they played music videos while the songs played. The DJ started with older hits to get everyone on the floor before getting into our more obscure song requests (including some Japanese songs), but the vibe was still there! It was a bit loud, but that's on us for not asking him to lower the volume. Popcorn bar was also a hit. Despite a few hiccups, I would recommend the venue 100 times over!

We had a wedding coordinator to hold our hand through the whole process, let us know what we needed to do when and helped us plan and execute our dream wedding. You can not beat the food either, big portions, you get to choose three options for your guests (make sure one is the Chicken Chanhassen), bread and salad are included as well. The whole process could not have been easier, and truly CDT made all of our dreams come to life!

We give the servers 5 stars, they really did an amazing job, they were so organized and friendly, we can't thank them enough! We love the idea that you can have a wedding and it is almost all inclusive, makes it a lot easier for planning purposes. All in all, we are happy with the venue.

ore tables (very few were available for people to use) and despite being told they would put more out, they never did. The food was very good but came much slower than ideal to keep the flow going. The theater room for the dance was a fun space but the DJ was not easy to work with. He never played music that was requested by the bride and groom (prior to the wedding) and played many, many songs that they specifically asked him NOT to play. There was no transition from quieter, older generation music- just straight to “club” music which was fun but too much at times. No slower songs ever! But the fact the bride and groom asked him multiple times to do certain things and he didn’t was very frustrating and disappointing!

Their packages to select from are thoroughly laid out, and Daniel was great help with explaining what our wedding size and day-of events would realistically need. Not only was Daniel outstanding in his position and the Dinner Theatre fabulous to experience, but he went above and beyond during our day. The level of compassion he had for us during an unexpected turn and fortitude to help the night move along smoothly was so incredibly appeciated -- along with Chris and the other amazing waitstaff that helped keep everything together and flawless. I am so glad we chose the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres. Our needs were entirely catered to.

day. Some huge positives for us: This is an incredibly LGBTQ+ friendly venue. We were always treated with respect and dignity, which was highly important for us when we were booking a venue. Additionally, everyone involved in planning was deeply knowledgeable and gave great advice, from food quantities to which package we needed to scheduling. Our ceremony space (Club Theatre) worked well for in-person guests and for live-streaming (through our videographer). We worked with two amazing wedding coordinators there, Robyn and Daniel (who took over from Robyn this past fall). CDT worked with us to make sure the transition was smooth and that our plans were not disrupted. Daniel is an absolute gem and superhero. He helped with some last minute changes and was a lifesaver when we had complications with our officiant. Daniel also constantly checked in with us during the day and made sure everything was running smoothly so we could focus on ourselves and our guests. The food was absolutely delicious. Our meals were divine (Oven-Roasted Salmon, Chicken Chanhassen, and Vegetarian Lasagna) and our vegan guests even commented that it was some of the best vegan options they’ve ever had at an event. They worked with us closely with all diet restrictions and everything was fantastic. The cake (through Buttercream Bakery) was marvelous. If you book CDT, we definitely recommend working with their recommended/provided DJ. Tim from Minnesota Wedding Party was incredible and knows the venue inside and out. He showed our photographer some hidden places to take bridal photos and was just plain an awesome DJ. I can’t imagine our night without Tim. Some things to keep in mind if you are considering CDT: It is a fully-operational dinner theatre, so, more than likely, there will be a show on your wedding day. If you are in the Ballroom, you are right underneath the main stage, so they will ask you not to get too rowdy during dinner. However, you can be super noisy and rowdy during your dance, once you move to your dance area. We had our dance in the Club Theatre, which worked really well for our guests. Also, if you have any guests that use wheelchairs or have mobility concerns, know that ramps lead to the Club Theatre and Ballroom spaces, but not the Dance Loft. The ramps are a bit steep, so they can be a bit challenging to roll back up, depending on the person. The staff at CDT was super accommodating for us, and helped us find a solution for helping a guest back up to the main level. The bathrooms in the Ballroom could also be wider, as it was challenging for one of our wheelchair-using guests to navigate the bathroom. With all that said, we would, without a doubt, recommend Chanhassen Dinner Theatres to anyone for their wedding (or other event). We felt cared about and respected and our day felt truly magical there. We can’t wait to keep supporting them through their live theatre and shows and to be transported back to our beautiful wedding day every chance that we get.

well! Our wedding date was affected by covid and CDT was very easy to work with moving our date out and was very accommodating. Robyn was great at answering our questions, helping us understand what was needed from our end, and executing on the day of the wedding. She was very easy to work with and very knowledgable. Her communication was great and we really enjoyed working with her! The venue's food was also amazing,! Lots of the time wedding food can be very mediocre, but not the case here, CDT's food was delicious! Their staff was great and helpful. We also felt the price was very reasonable and included a lot for budget minded folks like us. I would highly recommend CDT to anyone looking for an excellent wedding venue with great people!

to the dinner theater for our birthdays and when we found out that they did weddings, the decision had already been made. It was the only venue we needed to see (and I didn't even need to see it to know it was the one)! We decided to do everything inside as it was all in one place. Getting married on the Club Theater stage was everything this Broadway Musical themed wedding needed and more! Their all inclusive packages took a lot of the weight off of our shoulders so that we could just enjoy our time being engaged and focus on our decorations! The food was scrumptious and the chef accommodated all the weird allergies that my friends and family had. Robyn made everything so easy and was super invested in our planning process, making sure that everything was done exactly how we envisioned it! Because of Covid, we had to postpone our large celebration and she was so understanding and incredibly flexible. We loved her from the very first time we met her and knew we would really enjoy working with her. She answered my millions of questions almost as soon as I would send them and was so enthusiastic about our day. You could tell that she really loved her job and even more so enjoyed taking the time to get to know the couples! When we were there setting up, she was always available for questions or assistance which made it go fast and smooth! I can't express enough how thankful we were for Robyn, for making our day so beyond special!

It was such a relief because dealing with the wedding party was like keeping kittens in a box haha but she did it and she did it well!!! The venue space was so gorgeous that we didn't even need to decorate. Buttercream bakery made a delicious tiered cake for us and our wedding singer was so much fun!!! Chanhassen Dinner Theater's wedding package was everything we had hoped for and more!!!

You also get the liberty of having access to the venue days prior to the wedding and can decorate it to your liking, which was just what we wanted so we could add all of our own personal decorative details for our Halloween-themed wedding. The ambiance is more dark, jazzy, and romantic. The space looked amazing with the event up-lighting included, which is customizable to whatever colors you prefer which is so cool! The food was also incredible and all of our guests complimented it. I can't say enough good things about the Chanhassen Dinner Theater! Many of our guests said it was the coolest wedding venue they've gone to. It was really fun and unique to get married on stage, and also dance in the club theater for the reception. If you want something different with a little more character than your basic ballroom or barn wedding, this is an amazing choice! Thank you CDT!

We also rescheduled a million times due to COVID and Robyn was very accommodating. Oh and the bartender, Eric! Not sure if you read these, but you were awesome!! We chose the club theatre which is multilevel and has a stage. We felt like stars in our own little world. Our guests raved about the food. The main selling point was Robyn Anderson as our event coordinator, she felt like a friend we've known forever and was so quick to respond to any questions we had. We also liked the space at the golf club that the Dinner Theatre organized for an outdoor ceremony, and the fact that we would have a backup at the theatre in case of bad weather. We were really envisioning a great experience for the wedding and celebration at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, so when the Corona Virus hit and made us reevaluate our plans we were extremely disappointed. We wanted to switch to just a small backyard wedding and I was anxious about whether the CDT would argue about us asking to cancel our contract. Instead, the CDT and Robyn responded with empathy and understanding and let us receive our deposit back without hassle and with their good wishes. Outstanding. So I am happy to report that although our original plans were not able to go ahead our experience with the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre and specifically with Robyn remained extremely positive to the end! I would recommend this venue without reservation to anyone getting married or having a special event!

We choose them immediately and we could not have been more impressed. From the tasting to the wedding, it was the best experience.
