Weddings at Gulf Place

I could transform it however I wanted. I wanted a field, but I also wanted to take pictures on the beach without missing my reception. I also wanted a gorgeous princess-like bridal suite to get ready in; one that would fit my 12 bridesmaids, moms, hairdressers, etc in comfortably. I wanted it secluded so it could feel like it was only me, but I wanted coffee shops, restaurants, pizza parlors and a cute/classy bar close by. Lastly I wanted everyone coming to the wedding to stay right where I was staying. I wanted all of this without anyone having to get in a car! I GOT IT! Gulf Place had accommodations for my guests of every size and style. I stayed in a gorgeous 3 bedroom town home that fit 12 of my girls and I and my family stayed right next door. College friends stayed in the inn (1 bedroom hotel type rooms). Everyone had an option for their need. Thursday night when all of our wedding party came in to town we went to the Naked Grape so that the groomsmen and bridesmaids could meet and mingle. We had our rehearsal on the green and then walked to Smiling Fish Cafe to have the rehearsal dinner. They accommodated all 90 of us like it wasn't a big deal! The food was DELISH and the scenery perfect, beachy and intimate. After the dinner, we had a bonfire on the beach so all of our guests could come meet and greet here! On wedding day, my 12 bridesmaids and I spent the day in the gorgeous suite that overlooks the beach AND the green so I could see the water and watch my perfect event unfold. There was salon seats so my hairdresser was in heaven and the lighting was amazing. The green where the wedding was was absolutely perfect! It was big enough to fit everyone comfortably and was just gorgeous. I had the wedding and reception on the green and everyone loved the easy transition. Also, since it's right across the street from the beach, we were able to scoot away at sunset and take pictures and were back before people realized we'd left. There's a stone stage that was awesome! We danced on it all night! And when the wedding had to end, our guests went to the onsite bar, the Naked Grape, and kept the party going! Some of them also went down to the beach! My guests could not say enough good things about the wedding and Gulfplace. They loved the convenience of it all and they loved that it was a mini family vacation for everyone that came! It made the whole weekend a dream because no one had to travel and all of my favorite people were on the same property for 3 days!
