We recently worked with Wed By Danica for our wedding day. Although our day went seamlessly, even with a rainy forecast, there were a few instances leading up to and on our wedding day that we wish were handled more professionally. When we first spoke and booked, we were in regular contact and locked in with Danica as our coordinator. Two weeks before our wedding, Danica mentioned she would no longer be our head coordinator on our day and another coordinator would be stepping in. We were told on our rehearsal night by Danica that the reason for this change was due to a staff member resigning. Danica said she had to take over a "much more important" wedding happening the same day due to one of this couples' parents being in the wedding industry business themselves. This was very disappointing and disheartening for us to hear as we booked Danica very far in advance.
The other issue we had with our experience is that our coordinator did not stay for our entire wedding reception. Because of this, we were left with the task of cleaning up all of our decor and had to ask our guests to help the night of our wedding. This was inappropriate and added stress at the end of our wedding day. We were very vocal in the months leading up to our wedding that we did not want to take on this burden ourselves, but it was not resolved and we ended up having to do it ultimately take on this burden.
Overall, we did have a great wedding day. Sam was very attentive and helpful throughout our day. We just wish some things were handled differently for the service being provided.
Oh my god where do I START!!! Danica saved me during my wedding planning process and during our wedding day. From our very first meeting all the way to her last few minutes with us on our wedding day, Danica and her team made sure that we had every single thing we could possibly need!
There were many moments that Danica went above and beyond for my husband and I, so it’s hard to pin down just one thing, but Danica is truly the epitome of professionalism. She gave us suggestions, helped guide us towards logical decision making (when my fantastical ideas got a little too big), and was there for me even beyond what she was contracted to do!!
I cannot recommend Danica or her team enough!!

They maintained a perfect balance of professionalism and kindness, keeping everyone on schedule without a hint of stress. Her helpful insights and proactive approach provided immense support throughout the planning process. The entire team, led by Danica and Casey, worked seamlessly to keep the day together, allowing us to enjoy every moment without any stress. ❤ I cannot say enough about Danica and her team. We had Danica as part of our wedding vendor team with Day of Coordination services. She helped create the timeline and was able to make it so easy, with her experience of how long tasks take she was able to build it out for us quickly. I think the clearest evidence of Danica's awesome services is the fact that the weeks leading up to the wedding are typically the most stressful, as brides/grooms need to coordinate vendors with the venue, and then day of making sure that everything is running smoothly. I didn't have any stress, I was told so many times that I didn't look stressed, and that was because I knew I had Danica in my corner. I highly recommend Danica, there is so much good that I could say and not sure I have enough room to type it out.
Weddings by Danica was such an absolute JOY to work with!! I am a wedding photographer and one of my couples booked her and her team as a wedding coordinator. Everything was so effortless when working with the WBD team! Communication leading up to the day was made easy and everything that I needed as a fellow vendor was taken care of before I even needed to ask. Not only was the team so professional, it made working with them fun as well. It was a great working environment where it really felt like everyone wanted to work together to give our mutual clients the best experience possible. Such a great experience on my part and I know my couple loved working with her as well. 10/10 recommend!!
Danica and her team were absolutely amazing to work with. Danica really helped me with my whole wedding planning process. She was so great! We were able to meet virtually whenever I wanted, and I also was able to call or text her with any questions or issues any time. She is truly great at her job and very calming & knowledgeable in stressful situations. I highly recommend Danica and her team! She is so great!
From the moment we met Danica over Zoom, we felt comfortable and a form of relief that she’d guide us through the minor things people do not talk about. Her attitude was great and we could tell we could count on her.
Danica and her assistant were AMAZING! As soon as they arrived on site on our wedding day, it was go time! These ladies make this challenging job look so easy and for that we give them so much props and a big THANK YOU! They both truly took HUGE weight off our shoulders on our wedding day. We are truly very happy and relieved Danica made it all happen. My husband and I have already recommended Danicas expertise to our friends and family.

One of our friends used Danica as their wedding coordinator and loved them so we requested a quote from her. Her packages are affordable and the communication always went well. We would set up zoom calls and go over everything in detail, we also explained certain views or plans in detail so she knew exactly what to do on the day of. I sent her an email a couple days before the wedding with the lay out of seating, where and how to set decor and important things to not forget. The day of the wedding we thought everything was going smoothly until the ceremony. There were things that went completely wrong even after all the calls and communication we had. Some very special things and moments that she messed up and the seating chart was not followed at all. There were mothers separated from their family and couples who were separated.
A couple of days after the wedding we reached out to Danica and expressed our disappointment but she never responded. Unfortunately we already paid her full package before the wedding but for me personally her business was not worth the money for the things she did.
We are so glad we worked with Danica for our wedding! We went back and forth on whether we needed a day-of coordinator because we wanted to DIY our planning as much as we could, but it turned out to be a great decision. It was of course a huge help on our wedding day to have someone there to make sure everyone was in the right place at the right time - the package actually included two coordinators which was extremely helpful, as one was helping with vendors setting up at the venue while the other was with the bridal party for our first look, photos, etc. And even though we just had the day-of coordination package, Danica was happy to have a few meetings with us throughout the year or so before our wedding to assist with planning. It was especially great to have someone local to and knowledgeable of the Rockford area, as we were living out of state for most of our wedding planning. Definitely recommend Danica and her team if you are on the fence about a day-of coordinator!
Danica was our day of coordinator and knocked it out of the park!!! She was with us at the church on the day of while her assistant finished the set up at our reception. Danica helped me keep it together the entire day, helped finalize decisions and advocated for me when the coordinator from the church was a bit old school, and kept us on track and on schedule every step of the way. Since we were an out of state couple she even had multiple meetings and AMAZING communication with us leading up to the big day. We had a hiccup with our bus company not sending the right one and she immediately spoke with the driver and helped keep me calm and composed! Her and her wonderful assistant also packed up our decorations at the end of the reception so neatly and efficiently! Our big day could not have happened without her, I'm so so so glad that she was a part of our wedding day!!!!
Danica was AMAZING. She kept us so clam during the whole process and was so organized! Everything went perfectly on our wedding day and it 100% was due to Danica!!! I'm so grateful that I found her!
Danica was so awesome, and intuitive, during our wedding. We hired her services for Day-Of coordinating, and she responded immediately to all of our texts for weeks leading up and helped so much with easing our minds going into the day. She was on top of everything all day which allowed us to enjoy the day that much more. Would definitely recommend her services.
Danica was SO amazing to work with for our wedding! She was available to answer questions and talk about logistics leading up to our big day and our wedding day definitely would not have gone as smoothly without her. Danica was thorough on our calls, asking very detailed questions and making sure she had all of the info she needed to coordinate our day successfully. She reached out to our vendors beforehand and made sure all details and timeline was finalized so that I didn’t have to worry about anything on my wedding day. As the Event Coordinator of a Wedding Venue, I pay special attention to the best vendors who come through our doors-- i.e. those who are organized, easy to work with, and have an attention for detail and quality. Danica and Sammi were integral in making sure our day went off without a hitch. Danica paid attention to detail, communicated with the vendors, and made sure we were moving along with the timeline as scheduled. I’m sure she did a million things behind the scenes that I don’t even know about. As a control freak it was hard for me to trust that things would be done how I wanted but Danica was so thorough and got it right every time. This day would not have been so flawless without her. Danica was amazing! Definitely made a great difference the day of our wedding as I had nothing to worry about. One of the groomsmen forgot something in the car, and Danica not only found it but also found all of our decoration that my now husband had also forgotten. She was able to answer questions when I sent them and made multiple meetings throughout the year leading up and sent many vendor suggestions for the area including tasty restaurants for rehearsal. She is super engaged in making the day as calm and stress-free as can be. Danica and Sammi got all my decorations out and arranged nicely when I couldnt come up with a coherent way to describe what I needed. I highly recommend Danica and her team.
All of our initial interactions with Danica and the team were great, my fiance and I were so excited to have someone handle all of the stressful day-of duties that weddings entail. Unfortunately, after several of my emails went unanswered for three weeks, I realized something was off. Eventually, less than 2 months before my wedding, I learned that our head coordinator was no longer with the team. Being a small company, I understood that these things happen so I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. While the situation was not ideal I was assured we would be assigned a new coordinator. A few days later we learned that none of the team would be available to work our wedding after all, and that they were seeking a third-party coordinator. Danica explained that if the third-party coordinator wasn't available, she would provide us a full refund and help us find a new coordinator, again, less than months before our wedding. While I appreciated the offer and the fact that they did the bare minimum, I did not appreciate that lack of communication along the way, paired with the fact that we received no apology or sympathy for their poor planning. Ultimately my fiance and I decided it was best to part ways and search for a new, more dependable coordinator. Wedding coordinators are supposed to alleviate wedding day stress, but not hearing from yours for almost a month only to find that they can't prioritize your event has only added to our stress.
Danica was amazing!! From the day we hired her till the very end of our wedding day she went above and beyond!! I had to convince my fiancé at the time to hire a wedding coordinator and now he says he would recommend one to everyone getting married!! Danica answered my husbands questions day of(because he didn’t listen during planning haha), helped communicate with our venue regarding weather, communicated with our hotel and shuttle due to conflicts, helped set up and break down, and much much more! Would highly recommend!!
My husband and I weren’t sure about hiring a wedding planner at first, but we are SO glad we decided to hire Danica! Our pre-wedding meetings with her were helpful - she asked questions about logistics/details that we hadn’t thought about yet. And we were so thankful to have her the day of the wedding - her and her team helped with setup, any issues that came up, and kept the day on track so we could really relax and enjoy the day to the fullest. We highly recommend Danica and her team!
Danica and Brianna are both stellar leaders and event planners. While I haven't used Weddings by Danica (yet!) I have seen the outcome of her events and they are always beautiful, organized, and well thought out. I've recommended her services to friends and I've never seen anyone unhappy with their time with WBD.
Absolutely amazing experience with Brianna and the Weddings by Danica team! Brianna was professional, friendly, extremely helpful, and so knowledgeable. She was included in all of my month-of vendor meetings and I’m SO glad she was because she asked questions and clarified things that I would have never thought of. She was so perfect in handling communication with all my vendors and coordinating amongst them - all things I definitely did not have the brain power or time to do the month before my wedding! Most importantly, the wedding day went absolutely flawlessly with Brianna and Danica there running the show. They handled small issues without me even knowing and made sure to FYI me on the bigger issues that they handled with absolute grace. They checked in with me throughout the day and reassured me everything was ok when I was nervous. I honestly don’t think my wedding could have happened without Brianna and her team and I am so thankful for them! I recommend Weddings by Danica with the highest praise and am confident they will make your event as perfect as mine!!
Choosing to have Danica and her team for our wedding was by far one of our best decisions. She was so comforting and professional and made all of the tedious details of wedding planning SO much easier. Not to mention how unbelievably amazing she and her team were on the day of. From steaming all of our dresses that morning, running between all of our vendors and locations, worrying about every detail so that I didn’t have to, and more.. I couldn’t be more grateful. She had everything we needed and everything we never even thought of. Her team was even with us during all photos to make sure they turned out perfect. They supported every member of our party and family that day and I could not recommend her enough. Her presence and support was truly priceless.
Through our wedding venue search, my now husband and I found that several venues offered a day of coordination service that got us thinking we would really love to hire someone to do this for us. I shopped around quite a bit before finding Weddings By Danica, and I am sure glad I found her! Danica and her associate Alex were the best decision we made! They really helped us feel confident going into our big day that everything was organized and ready to go, meeting with us several times to review details and share ideas. The day of our wedding, they handled everything from meeting vendors, to handling spontaneous requests or issues that popped up. Danica, Brianna and Alex were lifesavers for our wedding planning and the day of our wedding. HANDS DOWN, the best investment we made for our wedding. We had major venue drama, and the team was there for us, day or night for all of the phone calls and emails. They were our lifeline and support throughout the whole process.
When we thought we couldn't appreciate them anymore, the day of the wedding came and they exceeded every expectation we had! They made sure our backyard looked perfect and our decorations were set up PERFECTLY. They really made our wedding dreams come true. The day of our wedding ran incredibly smoothly and we were able to enjoy every second of our wedding day because of their coordination. These 3 women are some of the kindest and hardworking people we have ever met. Hiring them will be the best wedding decision you will make!!
Danica was great with the day of, everything that was promised and more. Had guests share with me after the event different ways she helped out. Our planning sessions were super helpful and productive. I appreciated her open communication, check-ins, follow up and communicating with vendors. I highly recommend Danica!
Danica is a old family friend so as soon as we got engage I connected with her. She helped us locate vendors and was instrumental in helping get the questions we never thought to ask answered. During the meetings we had with the venue she was always willing to be present and was always just a quick text from an answer. She is really easy going as our plans had changes and supportive as we hit bumps in the road with solutions.
During the rehearsal and the day of she and her helper set up almost everything and helped coordinate our pictures, food, and little things I could not even keep track of. At the end of the night she had coordinated the cleanup making it so only a few guests had to help.
She is extremely affordable for what you get.
Danica has a close eye for detail and is able to bring every vision to life. She was able to handle and take control of every situation that came her way. I was very thankful for Danica and her skills and ability throughout the whole process. She was more than helpful and I highly recommend her!
Danica coordinated a wedding for my daughter last year and she and her husband were great helps! Not only was Danica available when we needed her, but she went the extra mile to help with problems that arose before the wedding.
