All my guests raved about how beautiful and fun our wedding was!

to 10 planners and was either told my budget was unrealistic or was just simply ignored because of the number of brides searching at the time in Oahu. Living in Texas, I was getting more stressed of not finding one since I knew I would be planning 100% remote and had no time to travel to the island before my own wedding day. I had booked my venue of Kualoa Ranch in early Feb 2022, which the venue was gracious enough to provide their list of preferred vendors. Sure enough, that list included the wonderful Lauran Yard from Weddings by Forrest and Lauran! After having a consultation in late Feb 2022, I looked no further because Lauran gave me the confidence that I can plan the wedding remotely and within the budget my fiancé and I wanted to stick to since we were paying for the wedding on our own. She gave me so much advice on where I should spend money and where I can save money, helped come up with some DIY ideas for my decorations, and even graciously allowed for me to ship some of my décor items to her so I wouldn’t have to travel with it! She also met up with my sister (maid of honor) whenever she went to Oahu on vacation and guided her through the venue and catering tastings. I want to say that I don’t think we had over 10 meetings throughout the year and were able to figure out so much and confirmed items in every one of our 1-hour planning sessions. I do want to warn you that I’m a simple bride and didn’t have a highly decorated wedding so maybe more time would be required. However, I felt that I could’ve easily just emailed Lauran and set up a session within the planning package I paid for. I also feel Lauran was way more affordable in my wedding budget, but to be honest she’s worth way more. I can’t thank Lauran enough for lending me her house for storage, letting me borrow frames, easels, or décor she had on hand from previous weddings, and even printing my menu and signage for me. I would like to proudly say that the day of my wedding was not stressful at all, and it’s all due to Lauran and her team. Working with her was a dream, and I felt sad when the journey was over. Thank you so much Lauran for making one of my special days something to remember and love forever!

ss we also built a great friendship. I could never have planned this wedding without Lauran as my day of coordinator. I could tell in our first meeting that she was incredibly organized, hard working, and had fabulous taste, which are characteristics that are essential when relying on someone for your wedding day. Lauran went above and beyond for me before, during, and after the wedding. As the planning process got underway, Lauran and I were always communicating with our ideas for the wedding. She understood my vision, and she made beautiful suggestions based on it. For example, I told her I wanted a kids table. She came up with the idea of using a half wine barrel as the base with a wood top. She also sewed the cream pillows for the kids to sit on. It was so cute how it all came together. When problems with vendors arose, Lauran was quick to help me problem solve, and she contacted them when there was an issue. She went with me to tour the venue a month before to understand how I wanted everything set up. Throughout this tour she made suggestions and asked key questions I never would have thought of. She again was incredibly organized and documented everything so she could make it look exactly as I envisioned. Lauran also joined us for our rehearsal, which was at Waimea Bay Beach. Lauran was able to organize everyone and run through the ceremony smoothly. On the wedding day, she again was able to coordinate the entire ceremony and the timing of the processional was perfect. Lauran took care of all the set up and management of the vendors on the day of the wedding, and I was able to relax that morning and get ready with my bridesmaids without having to lift a finger to set up and decorate. It was hard for me to not be able to go see what was happening with set up, but I put my complete trust in Lauran that she would make it perfect and she did. Also, when there were some bumps in the road, Lauran made sure I did not know, and she handled them herself. For example, the morning of the wedding the tent vendor was an hour late, but I never knew because Lauran did not want it to stress me. At the end of the reception, I was able to leave knowing that Lauran would also be coordinating clean up. She organized our wedding knickknacks back into their bins, and she returned them to us. Forrest and Lauran made sure that all the trash was cleaned up and removed from the venue. Our wedding was beautiful thanks not only to Lauran’s coordination, but to Forrest’s beautiful hand-crafted furniture. Forrest is an incredibly talented carpenter, and I had never before seen such unique pieces. The six mango wood farmhouse tables that we had at the reception were a showstopper. The farmhouse tables completely changed the look and feel of our reception. We had tons of guests coming up to us raving about the tables and wondering how they could get their own. Even after the wedding, we still have people talking about the tables. I would highly recommend our friends, Lauran and Forrest, for their coordination and furniture rentals. They are amazing people that we are so happy were there for us on our big day. We were able to truly relax and enjoy the day because of them.
