it comes to what I wanted my pictures to look like.. i.e., weird and corky and Jamaal and Myron even made MY vision come to life. I’m very energetic and my husband is very calm and collected and Jamaal and Myron worked so well with both of us. I especially give them props working with me and my bridal party, because we were very wild to say the least. They laughed with us and enjoyed the moment with us. I wanted candid photos and less posed photos and they nailed it on both styles! They are INCREDIBLY talented. For mine and my husbands first look, Myron drove my husband and Jamaal drove my mother and I. They had already planned to drive us, already had their cars set up to go. Jamaal and Myron communicated so well together for the first look. I had to do nothing. They are such gentlemen. Jamaal was always one step ahead. For the bridal party photos, Jamaal even set up the hotel shuttle to take us to a remote location!!! He was ON IT! I decided last minute I didn’t want us to go to the original location and no longer needed a shuttle and he didn’t mind at all that I had changed my mind. Jamaal and Myron were so easy going and very calm. I feel so lucky to have had them shoot my wedding. I highly recommend Visuals by J. McKenzie. They will not disappoint. nes I sent at like 3am. I was already blowing my wedding budget, so I booked Jamaal as a single shooter (trying to save money) -- much to my delight, he surprised me by bringing a second shooter with him anyway (he notified me about a week prior). He and Loren worked seamlessly together. They showed up earlier than expected and got to work immediately. I told Jamaal that I didn't want to do many staged photos -- I wanted the candid moments captured. I got more than I could have bargained for. Of course, we did the major staged photos of family and bridal party, but it was done so quickly and smoothly that we all still got a chance to enjoy part of the cocktail hour. Throughout the night, I honestly didn't realize all of the moments they were capturing -- they truly blended in with the guests. We had videographers as well, and Jamaal worked cohesively with them that it seemed as though they were a team. There was no competition among them like I've heard with others. Even more, we got ALL of our photos back ridiculously fast! We got married on a Saturday and had all of our photos by Thursday! It was the most amazing experience, ever! I recommend Jamaal for any and every photographic need. His eye captures beauty and creates art.

. Neither my fiancé or I had experienced a professional photo shoot, and from consultation through shoot day he made it fun and easy. From the start, Jamaal was constantly and unwaveringly professional, responsive, and helpful. He responded almost immediately to any email or question I had. He made himself available to talk via phone or skype, which was especially important to us because we were planning our wedding from afar. And he provided us with detailed information about the entire process right up front. Beyond all of those things, however, Jamaal demonstrated a real genuine earnestness to do good work for us. Right away, it was clear to me that Jamaal was an artist who truly cares about his work, rather than just someone who photographs weddings to make money. This was really demonstrated by his approach to shooting weddings: he attended our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, pre-wedding getting ready, the ceremony, and almost the entire reception all for a price that I found to be extremely reasonable. Working with Jamaal the day before and the day of the wedding was also a wonderful experience. He was unobtrusive, but also checked in with me and my husband when appropriate. He was extremely organized and prepared for many different shots and scenarios. And was entirely a calming energy that helped me relax and not worry if the pictures would turn out great. Needless to say, the final products are simply stunning. He captured every single image that we requested, and used his artistry to create images that we couldn't have imagined ourselves, but that will hang on our walls for generations.
