Your presence was admirably fitting, your personality was spot on and charismatic to the party and attendees, and your constant hospitality created a very soothing and relaxing experience for us so that we could enjoy our moments together as newlyweds. I can't explain in words what a joy it was to have you as a part of my day. I will continue to sing your praise for all that you have done for us and will be your biggest advocate and advertisement as a walking billboard for your successful future endeavors. My husband and I had a bit of a challenge with DJs for our wedding. We had hired a family friend who is a professional DJ to do our wedding, but due to a medical emergency, he had to back out of our wedding last minute. We contacted Kurtis Cross a little over two months from our wedding from a recommendation and luckily Kurtis had one DJ available for our date! Talking to Kurtis instantly put us at ease as he assured us that his team had four DJs, but they only ever booked three in case of last-minute emergencies. Well, lo and behold, our DJs wife went into early labor! Just as promised, Kurtis emailed us as soon as he knew of the change and lined us up with DJ Krissy to be our DJ for the night. Krissy was just fabulous. Everyone had a blast on the dance floor and loved the music. Krissy was also a great MC and made sure to check the pronunciation on our best man's name. She was so professional and friendly. We loved her. Beyond the music, the sound system that they used was really great. During the ceremony, we had a lavalier mic for our officiant and a standing microphone for our readings. You could hear everything clearly. For the toasts, we had wireless mics and our guests at the furthest tables could hear everything clearly as well. We hadn't though the sound systems through, but Krissy made sure that everyone could hear everything. Kurtis and his team are just great and we highly recommend them for any wedding.

I can't begin to say enough about DJ Kurtis Cross and his staff! He/they were exceptional from the first inquiry through the last dance! We did a facetime interview with him for our initial meet -- and we knew right away that he was the right choice. He and his staff checked in on us monthly from the time we booked until the wedding -- just to see how things were going and to see if we needed any help with finding other vendors or needed advice during the planning process. The timeline they put together for the day of was so awesome and truly helped put me at ease about the day of. He handled our ceremony music, cocktail hour, and the reception so professionally. The entire event flowed so seamlessly. The dance floor was packed the entire night... He played the perfect mix of music! Even more, he helped to keep us on track throughout the night by gently reminding us when it was time for moments such as the dance with parents and cake cutting. All I had to do was literally show up -- DJ Kurtis Cross took care of everything else. I absolutely recommend his services to anyone who wants a stress-free, fun-filled event!

Kurtis was the DJ for our wedding and we could not have asked for a better reception. He made it a PARTY! From the time we booked with his company, we immediately knew we made the right decision. The best thing about working with them was we didn't have a worry. Kurtis & his team were on top of all details and sent us reminders as to what steps to take during the planning process. I went on a whim, found Kurtis online, reached out, had a phone conference and booked him (without talking to anyone else) and I am not disappointed I did! Although the detailed paperwork may seem like a chore during your stressful last few months of planning, let me tell you that it all pays off. The organization of Kurtis and his team means that everything moves super smoothly the day of (he even makes sure he pronounces everyone's names perfectly!). I did not even officially meet Kurtis until after the ceremony and yet everything was set up and occurred as planned! There were 3 big selling points that led me to book Kurtis without talking to anyone else: 1) his previous reviews, 2) the fact that his crew comes with back up equipment in case anything fails, and 3) his familiarity with our venue. I am glad I went with my whim and a big thank you to Kurtis for making sure everything ran perfectly on our wedding day!

I cannot rave enough about Kurtis Cross and his team!! They did an incredible job at our wedding and made sure everything was perfect. From contacting us beforehand, and courtesy reminders, and even some awesome suggestions. I could not recommend them more!!

Wow! What amazing experience working with him and his team. Our wedding was July 27th, 2018 and the music was exactly what we requested. My husband even had a secret song and they honored all of our special requests. They were professional, early and set up in time. They sent us a timeline for the day of . It was so awesome. They even worked with our venue to make sure everything was perfect. If you’re getting married in the DC/MD/VA, don’t risk your wedding on anyone else! :-) Thanks for everything Kurtis.

There are a lot of DJs in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area, we chose Kurtis Cross for our wedding based on reviews and affordability; this was the BEST decisions we could have made!! Kurtis and his team were WONDERFUL, they are friendly, flexible, professional and bend over backwards to make sure you have the event of your dreams!! They served all of the technical needs for our ceremony and kept everyone on the dance floor during our reception. Their attention to detail with our requested songs, playlist and introductions was above and beyond what we had envisioned. THIS IS THE TEAM YOU WANT ON YOUR WEDDING DAY!!

We had Shaun Parker and a great coordinator help out for our reception (I feel so bad, I forgot her name!). From the beginning, Kurtis impressed me with his professionalism and thoroughness. Before our first consult, he had created such a great video that outlined their options, and let us imagine our reception. We knew from that conversation that they were the people for us! On the day of, they were both extremely helpful. They stepped in when our ceremony musician didn't show up and saved the day. The rest of the night, our guests couldn't stop talking about how great they were. My dad and brother still can't stop talking about how when they were giving their speeches, the coordinator was right there with a glass of champagne. They read the group, played the best music, and had the dance floor full until the end of the night. So thankful they were on our team!

Kurtis and his wife Paula are incredible! They kept in touch and checked in frequently in the days and months leading up. They played some really fun music that was true to our tastes (80s, new wave, disco, funk) but that got our guests dancing too. Plus, Kurtis has a lot of charisma. He keeps quiet for most of the dancing, but was fun and engagig for the bouquet and garter toss. Thank you!

DJ Carlos was our DJ and everything was perfect. From the moment we called their team Kurtis & Paula walked us through every detail and made sure we had a great plan for our entire day. They provided us with guidance along the way. On the day of our wedding, Paula took the lead and our ceremony music, cocktail hour and reception were smooth, fun and truly the best day we could have imagined. Thanks to The Kurtis Cross Team!

Slow start -- unclear on what went wrong but once music got going, things were rocking.

I highly recommend using Kurtis Cross services. They worked with me even when I kept changing my mind about the details of the wedding. They were professional from start to finish, and they made me feel like they cared about what I wanted for my wedding. The ended up being one of the only services I did not have any issues with by the end of the wedding. My wedding was definitely on a budget and the Kurtis Cross DJ services did not break my bank. We used the DJ, wedding reception coordinator services, a gobo, and ceremony sound system. I can't sing their praise enough!

Best DJ's ever. There was not a single dead moment on the dance floor. The entire reception ran so smoothly. The music was a great variety meeting all of our requests. Wonderful energy.
