Our interaction with Paully was wonderful from beginning to end! We started with pre-marital counseling and thoroughly enjoyed the process. It was something we both looked forward to each week, leading up to our wedding. Our wedding ceremony was beautiful and that is thanks to Paully! He did a magnificent job of showcasing our story, highlighting our love, incorporating a meaningful reading and he did it all with class and sophistication. Paully was always prompt, kind, and brought just the right amount of humor to our interactions, too. We’re so happy with our choice! Highly recommend him for your wedding!

Paul was amazing when we were looking for someone for our wedding. He created such a special ceremony for my husband and I and curated it specifically to us. Paul was perfect and made us feel super super super comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. From the discussions, zoom calls, and everything in between leading up to the ceremony, we felt confident that the special date would be perfect. We were right; it was. Paul made it personalized and included some humor in it as well. Many of our guests even made the comment afterwards, “your officiant was great!” We agree, he was! Paul did a fantastic job with our wedding. We added our own flare to the ceremony and he was very flexible and accommodating about what we wanted to put in. We originally wanted to do a candle lighting ceremony, however the venue where we held the ceremony did not allow open flames. We ended up opting for a hand fasting ceremony. Although he had never performed one before, and we live pretty far away, he came the day before for our rehearsal and we practiced it so we could get it just right. Weeks before the wedding, he sent us a short questionnaire to get to know us better and personalize our ceremony. We loved it and our guests loved it. Paul Richards helped to make our special day very memorable and we wouldn’t have gone with anyone else!

When we were selecting an Officiant for our elopement, we wanted someone who would really put care into the ceremony and make it feel special. We had our location, had our outfits, had all the details set... but then what would the ceremony be? What words should be said to make this the most magical day for us and ground its meaning. That was exactly what Paul brought us. The words he crafted and selected to unite us were perfect for the moment, meaningful and tender. We were married within the majestic redwoods in Big Sur, and he wove all these grandiose surroundings into the ceremony with beautiful metaphors and a wonderful service. We would suggest Paul to anyone looking for the right touch in a perfect wedding.

Paully was incredible — we reached out to him on a Saturday morning and he married us that afternoon(!) My financée and I had discussed eloping before she went back to school and had already picked up a marriage license and rings. We were taking a weekend getaway to Monterey (for Chinese Valentine’s Day) and realized we may be able to get married while we were there. After exchanging a few messages, Mr. Richards made himself available on short-notice, and his wife served as witness and filmed the impromptu ceremony for us. While we were on the road from SF to Monterey, Paully found a location and wrote a script. In a matter of hours, we’d managed to put together a perfect ceremony at Lover’s Point. It would not have been possible without Mr. & Mrs. Richards’ willingness to pull something together for us at a moment’s notice. They were kind, attentive, and truly seemed to care about making our day special. I have no hesitation recommending him for your own wedding 😊

My fiance (now husband) and I decided to elope. We are from PA and decided for out epic location to be out in Monterey, CA. Neither of us had ever been there and we had very little knowledge about the area or things to do, other than we knew the scenery was breathtaking. I found Paul on the Knot and it was a blessing in disguise. He offered reasonable prices for our short and small private ceremony. You could tell he still put an incredible amount of effort, thought, and love into our ceremony. We met shortly on Facetime and from that one meeting, he captured our love story perfectly. He also provided us plenty of recommendations on what to do in the area which eased my anxiety about coming to an area I knew little about. Even though we were running behind on the day of the ceremony Paul was kind enough to wait for us to arrive at our location and did not pressure us. I cannot describe how amazing his short sermon was. It was all truly beautiful thanks to Paul.

We weren’t able to use Paully as our officiant, but he was very informative and courteous! If we had the option to use this gentleman, he would be our FIRST choice!
