stions. It was important to find someone who could meet our needs of capturing our precious moments. Since day one, Ray made sure we were able to communicate about what was important. I loved that Ray had a second photographer with him and this helped certain moments go much smoother, such as bridal party shots! Ray was able to send us amazing sneak peaks and had our photos ready under 3 weeks! It was helpful to talk ahead of time and let Ray know what pictures were important to us to have. We were so fortunate that the sun came out at Belhurst Castle and Winery and Ray and Casey found inspirations on the porperty to snap fun and beautiful poses. We also lucked out in which Ray has worked with our DJ Chris Washburn which helped our day to be organized as best as possible. for our wedding and Ray did a great job of keeping an open line of communication between the time we booked him and the actual date of our wedding. Though we didn't get to work with Ray on an engagement shoot he arrived with an open mind about what we wanted and the shots we wanted to take. Not to mention they were a lot of fun to work with! We spent time joking around and getting to know each other which made the shoot really easy and fun. The day of the wedding was a bit cloudy and we did a lot of outside shots, when we got the pictures back the edits he made brought more light and warmth to the gray December day were wonderful! During the reception Ray and Casey were present and taking pictures but they were hardly noticeable by us and our family, but the pictures they captured made it look like they could have been right in the middle of it. There was a slight delay in getting the pictures, but we understand that these things take time and were happy to wait for perfection. Overall the professionalism and passion for the craft that Ray and Casey gave to our wedding really shows in the pictures that we have, which made it worth everything! Ray was able to capture the real us, despite what I call our posing awkwardness. The pictures are beautiful and are a perfect representation of who we are as a couple. They accommodated all our needs and took every shot that I asked them to take. They never say they couldn't ...they just did! at one point I had my glasses on and then they took more photos when I realized that my glasses were on! They just keep clicking away! From that time of the early morning, they stayed with the bridal party until about 10pm! Every detail was photographed and videotaped for posterity! There are soooo many amazing shots that just blows my mind!! I am so happy to have had them at my daughter's wedding.! My youngest son met a lovely girl at the wedding party and I can't wait to see something happen between them so I can have Ray and his team again at another wedding of ours!! We stayed on schedule all day I also didn't feel like I was being bombarded with pictures because they were able to take great shots without being in our way! When we got onto the island one of the photographers Casey brought out a Drone to get areal shots! I was so impressed they had that! Ray and his crew worked 10-10 and even my guest were impressed with how hard they were working! My wedding got a little rowdy & they were still able to catch the beauty of it all! d I spoke to him on the phone and we set up a Skype meeting (our wedding was in Upstate New York, closer to where he is located, but we live in Connecticut). Ray video chatted with my whole family, my then fiancé, and me, and we were all blown away by the work that he showed us, as well as his personality. We met with a couple other photographers, but all decided that Ray would by far be the best choice. We hired him with quite a ways to go before the wedding, but he would periodically check in with us (via Facebook, text, email) just to see how we were: we loved that! He and his assistant Brandon (who is wonderful too, by the way) did an engagement shoot with us in the spring and did such a great job capturing the relationship that my husband and I have. We had so much fun, and Ray had a lot of great ideas for photos, and was willing to try any ideas that we had as well. The day of the wedding, Ray and Brandon showed up early in the day so that they could capture the whole process of getting ready for our big day. It was such a pleasure to have them there for our whole wedding; the before, the ceremony, the cocktail hour, the reception, and even afterwards (my husband and the groomsmen jumped in the lake in their rented tuxes, and Ray got some great shots of that as well)! We are so impressed with all of the gorgeous pictures taken that day and I am so glad that we chose Ray Alvarez Wedding Photography to capture the most important day of our lives!
