Weddings by Regina Marie is a wedding-planning business based out of Cheshire, CT, just minutes away from my home in Naugatuck, CT. Having worked as a nurse for 15 years and being a wife and mom to two little ones, I understand the busyness that working professionals face in day-to-day life. Throw wedding planning into the mix and things can get VERY overwhelming VERY quickly. That's where I come in. I take the experience of 15 years of detail-oriented, prioritization and critical thinking skills from nursing and utilize them to create a streamlined, smooth and stress-free wedding planning experience.
Our most popular services are Full-Service Planning & Design and Event Management. Full-Service Planning is typically booked 10-16 months before your wedding day, with me working alongside the two of you to plan a wedding day that reflects the both of you as a couple, while being an amazing experience for your guests. Event Management is our smallest service, but is perfect for the couple who wants to plan most of the wedding themselves. With this service, we take over the logistics three months before your wedding so that you can focus on your families and friends in the busiest stage of the wedding planning journey. Both services end with our team on-site to execute a flawless event day while you and your loved ones relax.
I believe that a couple's Wedding Team should consist of vendors who not only match their budget, but also match their personality & style. As the creator and co-host of The 'We Do' Wedding Podcast, I spend hours each week not only getting to know local wedding industry experts, but also picking their brains for tips and advice on how to have the most successful events for my couples. I've spent years getting to know and building relationships with local vendors so that I can pair couples with the perfect vendors for their team. My approach to wedding planning is NOT to make the final decision for you regarding your vendor team, but to match you with 2-3 vendors in each category who are available for your date, fit within your financial comfort zone, and match your personality & the vibe you're trying to accomplish for your wedding. You will then speak with these vendors and make the final decision on who to add to your team, saving hours of research and aggravation along the way.
I've always been a big advocate for continuing to educate & elevate myself so that I can continue to provide the highest level of service to my clients. As as Certified Wedding & Event Planner, Coordinator, and Designer, I've earned Event Planning Certificates from The Association of Bridal Consultants and QC Career School and an Accredited Event Designer Certificate from IWED International.

Regina is THE ONLY reason our wedding happened at all, let alone in the beautiful way that it did. My now wife and I got married on the east coast this past fall and live in Denver, CO. We knew we needed support to make the wedding possible, but did not know the extent to which we would rely on the services of the exceptionally wonderful, always warm, and incredibly well-connected Regina until we had booked.
When we met Regina via zoom, we felt an instant ease and connection. We had spoken to a couple of other CT-based wedding planners, but in addition to a much less reasonable cost, there was always this sense of formality that did not align with what we needed. Regina was right there with us - validating our anxieties about planning from so far away, sharing about herself, and immediately connecting us to vendors that so thoroughly aligned with who we are (like Cate Barry photography).
Regina provided templates, timelines, consultations, connections, and services beyond what you could imagine you'd need. She visited our wedding site (even without us there), spoke to vendors on our behalf, and talked us through decisions we needed to make. We were guided by her expertise through the process in a way that made it feel far less overwhelming - via zoom, through email, on the phone, and any other way we needed to communicate.
Regina was with us, organizing and coordinating for a full year -- right through to our wedding day!! When it rained on our wedding day (of course!!) Regina was there to help us adjust our plans, reconfiguring things with her team last minute to accommodate our request to push the decision as far as possible. Because of Regina, our outdoor ceremony quickly became a beautiful indoor ceremony with an amphitheater setup (still don't know how she pulled that off!) and resulted in some of our most favorite parts of the day. We said this in our speech on the day of, but truly could not have done any of it without her.

This past October my partner and I worked with Regina for our wedding at Jack’s Barn in Oxford, NJ, and had such a positive experience! Regina is kind, warm, and patient, and so easy to collaborate with. Being that we planned our wedding ourselves, Regina was hired as our ‘Day of Coordinator’ to get us over the finish line and be there day of to ensure all went smoothly, and that it did! Her assistant, Charles, was awesome, as well! Amidst a very busy wedding season, throughout the process from initial consultation through our wedding day, the communication, guidance, and planning materials that were provided were clear and very helpful. Our wedding day was easily a success due to having Regina be a part of our overall planning and execution! We felt very well taken care of. We hired Weddings by Regina Marie for Day Of Coordination services and I can honestly say that's the main reason our wedding went so smoothly!
First off, Regina is a star and a wonderful person to work with. For someone we hired specifically for Day Of Coordination I strongly feel she went well above and beyond the rates she charges! She was with us the entire way through our wedding planning process. We were always able to reach out to discuss ideas with her or get vendor recommendations months before even our wedding day. There was not a thing she didn't do to help us stay organized either. She uses plenty of online tools and task trackers to make sure we stayed the course even though we were doing most of the planning ourselves.
The day of our wedding, everything went perfectly which we attribute mainly to Regina and her assistant, Charles I believe. Regina and her team kept everything on track, made sure we were taken care of, and helped with breakdown/collection after the event was over. Working with Regina has made me a believer that most people NEED at least a day of coordinator to help them through the process. We wanted to have a stress-free wedding and having Regina on our team made that possible.
Regina was easily the most instrumental part of making our multi ceremony wedding a success. We had both an American and Indian ceremony which was a challenge she took head on. She's smart, kind, organized, and really listened to what we needed. There is no way we could have gone through our wedding without Regina. Her assistant Charles was also a GEM! He is so nice and funny and made everyone feel so at ease. If you are on the fence about hiring her team, this is your sign to DO IT. I have been in 6 weddings and SHE is the best of the best. My own wedding party told her if they had to plan a wedding now that she is the first vendor they would hire. Regina- from the bottom of our hearts thank you so much. You made sure we had the day we wanted and I could not have DREAMT of a better wedding planner than you.
Working with Regina was hands down the best decision we made when planning our wedding!!! We booked her for a partial planning package and couldn’t be more grateful to have had the chance to work with her. She was incredible throughout the planning stages and truly magical at putting our vision into life to on our actual wedding day.
During the planning phase, she provided excellent recommendations for vendors that all turned out amazing, constantly answered our questions and the questions we didn’t know we needed to ask (sharing her wisdom and expertise about weddings in general but also the local CT industry standards and options), communicated with vendors, came up with ideas to help us make the less conventional aspects of our vision a reality, guided us through so many decisions, and generally had really on-point taste and suggestions when doing so. She also did a great job of understanding our vision and preferences and also vibe/working style, and matching them. As a result, she was relaxed and respectful and professional and so fun to work with.
On the actual wedding day, we couldn’t BELIEVE how amazing of a job she and her assistant Charles did of organizing all of the venue staff and vendors, getting everything set up and where it needed to go, communicating with all relevant parties, answering questions and addressing issues that came up, and just generally making everything run truly seamlessly. Everything literally went perfectly all day, despite the fact that we had a LOT going on (our wedding was more on the DIY side of things, with many moving parts and different parties involved to coordinate), and we were so grateful to be completely un-involved in managing any of the logistics—we got to just enjoy our wedding day without worrying about anything and it was truly a dream to see our vision come to life so perfectly and magically, all thanks to Regina. We will forever be so grateful to her and could not recommend her more strongly!!!!
Regina and her team truly made our wedding day the best day of our lives. She knew exactly how much and how little to push us in the planning process and took care of every detail so that we could just enjoy our day. Any couple getting married would benefit from her kindness, organizational skills and gift of execution.
I found Regina through my photographer Cate Barry and she was (and is) more wonderful than I could have ever hoped for. She went above and beyond for us, meeting via Zoom whenever we needed and contacting vendors well before she was "technically paid" to start. She was calm, cool and collected. She made my wedding day PERFECT. There was not a moment that she was not in control and her staff was absolutely fabulous. I cannot recommend Regina enough.

Regina’s somehow calm and controlled demeanor throughout this wedding (which went off without a hitch), helped tremendously to guide the wedding party and guests. She and her team would be my dreamteam for my own wedding. They were friendly and supportive and competent from the moment the bride and groom began together until the last grinning guest left their wedding event.
Regina and her team are amazing! Regina was the first wedding vendor I chose, and I sure lucked out!! I was planning a wedding at my home and I knew there would be many moving parts and I was overwhelmed. She jumped right in and recommended some really great vendors she had worked with and trusts for us to choose from. As mother of the groom I was very pleased with the services. Regina was very professional, courteous, yet down to earth. She did an excellent job despite being recruited two weeks before the wedding.
Regina helped our wedding day run so smoothly! She started contacting us far out in advance to make sure I was on track with all of our tasks which helped us stay very organized for the day of! Awesome planner! Very tech savvy and accommodating. Uses lots of email and software communication which made it easier for me with long work hours and not being able to talk on the phone much during the week. I loved coordinating with her and my vendors in Aisle Planner and creating vision boards online for inspiration! I looked forward to her emails each week with updates on the planning process. Very personable when we met in person and on our phone calls; I felt like I was speaking with a long time friend. I miss mot communicating with her all the time now.

My bride hired Regina Marie as our Day-of Coordinator. She mention multiple times how glad she was that we'd hired Regina because Regina had thought of things that she and her mom hadn't. The amount of stress that Regina removed from her shoulders was obvious. I would recommend Regina to anyone who is feeling overwhelmed by wedding planning. As a groom, I would suggest other grooms hire a wedding planner for peace of mind and stress reduction and Regina Marie comes highly recommended.
My bride hired Regina Marie for Day-of Coordination. She was really good at helping to calm her down with wedding planning and handled last minute details that she and her mom hadn't thought of. She mentioned many times how glad she was to have Regina Marie and I definitely noticed her stress levels go down in the days leading up to our wedding. I would absolutely recommend Weddings by Regina Marie to anyone planning a wedding or special event. I used Regina as an event coordinator and decorator four years ago before she officially became a wedding coordinator and opened her own business. Even then having not gone to school for wedding planning yet, she was an amazing asset to have. Originally I didn't feel like I needed a wedding planner, coordinator or decorator because I felt I could handle a DIY wedding on my own. I ended up hiring Regina six weeks before my wedding to help pull everything together and I'm so glad I did! She did everything from organizing RSVPs, creating the seating chart, ordering any last minute supplies, and decorating the ceremony and reception sites, in addition to giving my husband and I absolute peace of mind. We felt like guests at our own wedding, which is exactly what I wanted. I recommend Regina Marie every chance I get and am so happy that she has finally opened her own business. I've just hired her for my 5-year vow renewal next year and can't wait to see what she does. Hire Regina Marie, you will be so glad you did!
I loved working with Regina! As a same-sex couple, we had a little bit of trouble when we first started looking for vendors but Regina Marie was perfect. She had a network of vendors who were LGBT friendly- some even LGBT owned! We came to her as basically full service because we'd only booked our venue location and she handled everything so easily. She addressed and mailed our invitations, handled the RSVPs and seating arrangements, purchased/ordered supplies for us when we couldn't. We let her know what we wanted and she handled it all, from answering questions from our vendors throughout the planning process to telling the vendors where to set up on the day-of. We got to relax and enjoy one another on the day-of without being bother by vendors or guests because Regina and her assistant handled all of the questions and concerns. As a double bride wedding you'd think at least ONE of the brides would be picky and have a complaint but we were both floored! Her attention to detail really paid off. We recommend Regina Marie to everyone that we know is looking for a planner!
I booked Regina Marie as one of her first clients when she launched her business. As a nurse, I work a hectic schedule and since Regina Marie is also a nurse, she COMPLETELY understood why I was so overwhelmed. I originally came to Regina as a DIY bride having found a bunch of projects on Pinterest but having no idea how to pull everything together. Regina found creative uses for everything and even thought of things that I never would have imagined! She coordinated with all of my vendors and asked questions that I hadn't thought to ask. Her timeline for our wedding day was seamless and the day flowed perfectly because of it. My bridesmaids were so impressed when she emailed it to them and it put their minds at ease knowing exactly what was going to happen and when. She even booked our honeymoon! It was so nice to only have to deal with one person for everything involved in the wedding up to and including the honeymoon. Her compassion as a person is evident in her career as a nurse and carries over into her career as a Wedding Coordinator. Her demeanor is cool, calm and collected, even when I wasn't the nicest bride to deal with! All in all, I would completely recommend Regina Marie to any couple who needs a Wedding Coordinator. We hired Regina Marie as our Day-of (technically Month of) Coordinator in September for our wedding in November. Our wedding is in a few weeks but Regina has been such as blessing that I felt she deserved a review even before her job is done. I can't stress enough how much more relaxed I feel knowing that someone else will be there to handle things behind the scenes instead of my mom and bridesmaids. Regina has handled the last of the RSVPs and tackled the seating chart for us. She has already put together our favors and ordered our Thank You cards. She invoiced all of our contracts and set up reminders for me of when the last few payments to our vendors are due. She spoke with all of our vendors and created a timeline so that there is no "grey area" as to when things will happen on the day-of. I did a lot of Pinterest DIY decorations with my bridesmaids and I was nervous about how things would be laid out. Plus I didn't want my bridesmaids or my mom trying to get everything set up when we should all be relaxing and enjoying the morning together. Regina Marie completely sees my vision and I'm sure she'll put all of my decorations together the way I see it in my mind.
One thing I was really concerned about was organizing the transportation of our guests. We hired buses to transport our guests from the hotel where our guests are staying and where our cocktail hour will be held, to the reception venue and back to the hotel again after the reception. Regina Marie incorporated a busing schedule into our timeline and our wedding website for our guests so that everything runs smoothly.
My wedding is less than 2 weeks out and I'm feeling more relaxed than I have the last 18 months because of all that Regina has accomplished in the last 6 weeks. I'm really excited to see what she does on our wedding day because I know it will be amazing!
Regina helped out with the logistics of our wedding ten years ago when she was still in college for her nursing career. I remember speaking to her then about switching her major from nursing to event planning because she had a knack for it. When I'd heard that she started her own company, I hired her to do my ten year vow renewal. We wanted to do our vow renewal in Puerto Rico. Since Regina is also a Travel Agent, she was able to make all of our travel arrangements as well as work with the local wedding planner to make sure everything was in place for our event. It was nice to have just one person to go to for all of our event planning and travel arrangement needs. Regina even accompanied us to Puerto Rico to see the event through and support us at our ceremony.
If we continue to do vow renewals I will ABSOLUTELY work with Regina Marie again. She has been like family to us over the years.
We used Regina for my sister's wedding in 2013 and it was absolutely beautiful. As a sister and bridesmaid, I tried my best to help out where I could but I could tell she was stressed. We found Regina less than two months before the wedding and she was a godsend. She organized the RSVPs and the seating chart and took control of the vendor contracts, making sure every vendor was paid on time and all supplies were ordered. She created this timeline that allowed for vendors to arrive in a staggered manor which seemed to make it less overwhelming. I've been a part of weddings where all the vendors arrive to set up at the same time and everything was chaotic but this wedding seemed to run like a machine. I know it sounds cliche but its true lol! My sister had a limited budget as it was the end of her planning process and funds were tight so I know Regina can work with modest budgets.
My sister has told everyone time and time again that she will use Regina Marie for all future events and her vow renewals and I can't wait to get engaged and start planning my dream wedding. I will definitely use Regina Marie before she becomes a hot commodity and is hard to get lol.
