I am so extremely grateful to have booked Weddings by Sal and Bella. Wedding planning is full of decision making, and I believe that choosing them for our photography was one of the best decisions we made. Chrissy and Matthew are one of a kind. We were nervously excited for our engagement shoot, and within literally 5 frames, Chrissy and Matthew put us both at ease. They knew exactly how to direct us to get great shots, and it comes very naturally to them. The same thing happened on our wedding day. Every minute counts on such an important day, and they know exactly how to direct you, your bridal party, and family to get beautiful shots but with efficiency. They were timely, professional, efficient, and confident. They took the lead when appropriate, and knew how to ‘blend in’ during the special moments as well. They were able to achieve fantastic lighting in a darker reception setting. They also worked very well with our videographer, and made it feel like they were one big team. I appreciate her attention to detail with shooting and also with editing. We were blown away with our final album, and have so much joy when looking through the photos of the day. She was able to capture all of the ‘classic’ wedding moments, and also all of the candid ones. She captured all of the energy and love from not just us and our bridal party, but our guests too. They have my highest recommendation to any bride!

Absolutely incredible photography! Chrissy and Matt are super fun and have amazing photography skills. They were super flexible with our wedding date change cause of covid and are very great at communication. They made our wedding one to remember!

My husband and I worked with Weddings by Sal & Bella for our wedding in October 2020. The owners, Chrissy and Matthew, are such an amazing team (they’re also husband and wife) and go above and beyond to capture every perfect shot. They truly listened to us and made sure to take photographs of everything that was of importance to us. They were conscientious, thorough and courteous. They did a great job of capturing more “natural” posed shots rather than trying to manipulate uncomfortable poses, and they really put us at ease (we’re not the most comfortable posing in photos). I would recommend these two to anyone looking for photos for any special event. They are wonderful and they truly make sure that they capture everything that is meaningful to you. Where do I begin? Chrissy and Matthew are hands down the kindest, most professional, amazing pair you could ask for on your wedding day! The two of them made our day more than you’ll ever know. Leading up to the day, the communication with Chrissy was always prompt and so endearing. You can truly see how much they love doing what they do and doing it together. As soon as we were moving around Matthew was right there helping anyone out, making sure they don’t fall or need an extra hand. Chrissy knows how to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera, and her vision is unreal. These two will literally stand in the freezing cold rain for you, so you can get the picture of your dreams ... no questions asked. Their selflessness, love for photography, and support can not be matched. You can not get a better duo to shoot your wedding! They are the best!!!

Chrissy and Matt are two of the most amazing people, I couldn’t imagine having anyone else with us that day! Our wedding day wasn’t as smooth as you would hope and they just rolled with the punches and helped us through. They are the epitome of professionalism and are a joy to be around! We enjoyed their company and their work so much that we have asked them to join us again to take photos for our 1st anniversary!

I cannot express enough how great it was to work with Weddings by Sal & Bella for our wedding in September! Chrissy took the time to review photo ideas I had in mind prior to the day of to make sure those shots were taken throughout the day. She even gave my bridesmaids advice on how to perfectly pose the photos they were taking on their own phones in the morning. Both Matthew and Chrissy truly know how to make you look your best and it reflects in our photos! Their strong relationship without a doubt makes an impact on the beauty of the photos. They instantly cracked jokes with each other and all of us, making us feel more comfortable and helped to make the true emotions to shine through in each photo. The photos are timeless, and natural, which was exactly what we were going for. I would hire them over and over and over again - if you book with them, you won't regret it!

Chrissy and Matthew were amazing! We had some concerns with our original photographer and got so lucky when we found out Weddings by Sal and Bella were available! When working with Chrissy and Matthew you get SO much more than just a photographer. You get two people who fit right in with the bridal party, you get two people who don’t hesitate to jump in and assist with suits and/or dresses, and you get the comfort of knowing that they are always in the right spot capturing every shot you want! Our entire bridal party and parents could not say enough about Chrissy and Matthew. When it came to service, we received amazing sneak peak pictures the very next day! Weddings by Sal and Bella deserve 10 stars for how perfect they made our wedding day! We met them for our engagement shoot and right away we could tell how dynamic this husband and wife team are in action! These two made sure our wedding day timeline was on point and on time. They posed us perfectly, and together shoot amazing pictures. They made sure they shot every single one of our wishes, and we truly had a hard time picking out our pictures! I cried when I saw my pictures, because they captured every memory and the true essence of our wedding. They respond quickly to emails/texts and we got our pictures back so quickly! I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Weddings by Sal and Bella! I can’t wait for them to do more pictures for us in the future!!

Sal and Bella photography went above and beyond for our wedding. I have never seen photographers laying on the ground or jumping over things to get the perfect shot on the most perfect day, but they did! I’d recommend them 100%. I was more than happy with having them as a part of the biggest day of my life!

Chrissy and Matt are not only amazing people, but they are fantastic photographers as well! Having known them prior to the wedding and having seen their work, choosing them was a no-brainer. They made sure to capture all of the major events of our wedding down to the small details. Going into it, we had no idea what to expect and did not have any specific ideas for shots and poses. Chrissy and Matt knew the best places in Pittsburgh for photos and we let them decide the best place for our pictures. They did such an amazing job and I’m so glad we deferred to their expertise on choosing the location and specific shots. Having them as a team is ideal. Weddings by Sal and Bella came recommended to me after having a bit of an issue with another photographer. When I reached out, Chrissy was extremely responsive and so sweet right from the start. When our wedding day rolled around they showed up early, which when you’re the bride and things are going a mile a minute, it’s a relief to have a vendor show up not only on time but early! Chrissy and Matt were absolutely amazing to work with and took all the stress out of the photography aspect of our wedding. My husband and I chose to do a first look at a park near our wedding venue so we didn’t have to rush after the ceremony to get all the photos shoved in to an hour. I am beyond happy with our decision to do this especially because Chrissy and Matt captured our first look SO perfectly! The rest of the day they really kept us on track and got all of the shots that we had discussed prior to the wedding! If you’re looking for the sweetest couple ever who is absolutely amazing at what they do, I truly suggest you go with Sal and Bella!

Our engagement pictures were beautiful, and we were able to do multiple outfits. Chrissy and Matt were willing to drive to take these pictures. Chrissy and Matt did an amazing job making sure we took all of the pictures we wanted. They work great together, when one is photographing the other is giving direction. They double-checked before we went to our reception that we had all of the pictures we wanted. The day we got married was a very cold one, when I was not in the frame they made sure I was warm and used their own jacket to warm me up. We can't wait to see the rest of our wedding photos, we already know they will be exceptional.

They were wonderful photographers - polite and respectful of the happenings of the day and our requests but still managed to capture beautiful photos!! There was a contrast of photos capturing sweet moments with family and friends as well as beautiful scenic photos with different settings in the background. They are a sweet couple and delightful to work with. We’re so happy we found them!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Chrissy and Matthew! We didn’t want to spend the whole night taking pictures. They did an amazing job at getting all pictures we wanted in the least amount of time as possible. We were really able to enjoy our entire wedding because of that! We had also planned to get a sparkler picture later in the night. Chrissy came over to me and said she thought we should do it right away because it looked like rain was coming. Thanks to her, we got the pictures just in time before the rain. It was great to have two professionals working to help ease the day of stress and they are both lovely people. I definitely recommend Sal and Bella to anyone looking for a great photographer!

Matthew and Chrissy were phenomenal to work with! They are a fun, down to earth couple who clearly loves what they do. My (now) husband hates getting his picture taken but Matthew and Chrissy were able to facilitate us so his was slightly less miserable getting them done! Their team work together is admirable watching them come up with unique shots together. They also are good with crowds and keeping everyone in line so you’re not taking a single picture for 10 minutes. The turn around time for pictures is very reasonable and well worth the wait- my engagement session was beautiful and I cannot wait for my wedding day photos! I would recommend Weddings by Sal and Bella again and again!

I felt so fortunate that I was able to have Weddings by Sal and Bella as my wedding photographers. I could not have anticipated just how scatterbrained I would be the day of my wedding. There’s so much going on that its hard to concentrate on anything! However, Chrissy and Matthew (AKA Bella and Sal) think about EVERYTHING when it comes to capturing all the important moments and I didn’t have to worry about remembering anything for the pictures. They were on top of it! A few weeks before the wedding they sent me a questionnaire to make sure they would be prepared and ready to capture all of the important moments. During our portraits, Chrissy overheard my husband telling me that the watch he was wearing was worn by all the men in his family for their weddings and Chrissy said to Matthew “Make sure you get that watch in the pictures! It’s special!” We didn’t even consider that but what a wonderful thing for them to pick up on! Everyone felt super comfortable with Matthew and Chrissy behind the camera. They're super friendly (and were even able to get my little nephews/ ring bearers (1 and 2 years old) to look at the camera, too!) Chrissy was very helpful with poses like how to tilt my head, and what to do with my hands which really helped me to relax and not worry about looking awkward. Something I loved during the reception was that any time they noticed people taking personal group photos they went and took a professional one as well - I’m so happy that I have so many pictures of so many of my friends and family from my special day! The photographs themselves were breathtaking. Chrissy and Matthew work so well together that it’s almost like having one photographer that can be in two different places at the same time. We have a beautiful mix of posed and candid photos in both classic and artistic styles. I am so happy that I had Chrissy and Matthew as my wedding photographers! They are just the friendliest, most helpful, most talented people and the type of people you want at your wedding!

I've followed Sal & Bella's photography for years and when the time came for my own marriage, I knew who I wanted to take my elopement photographs! Both Chrissy and Matt worked on our shoot and they were so much fun to work with! They asked us if there were any specific poses we wanted and made sure to capture them in our shoot. We had our dog at our session, and both Chrissy and Matt were patient and worked well with us so we could have our dog included in some of the photos. They were patient, professional and had made sure to capture everything we wanted.

Chrissy and Matt were fantastic. We booked Weddings by Sal and Bella for our wedding that was on 9/8/18 a little over a year before our date (book as fast as you can because they fill up!) and I’m so glad we did. They were both very professional and courteous, not just the day of but also each step along the way including the planning. I have friends who were not pleased with their wedding photographers even though they paid a lot of money for them because of things like feeling rushed, not considering going to locations the couple wanted to be shot at, not working with the weather, etc. Chrissy and Matt were nothing like this! They were very patient, let us tell them where we preferred to go, and they managed to capture us beautifully even through the rain on our day! Highly recommended!

Matt and Chrissy were absolutely amazing and I’m thrilled they were a part of our wedding day! Not only are they beyond talented but they managed to bring such great energy to our big day. Weddings by Sal & Bella are truly the best!! I had been following their work for years and when it was finally my turn to get married, I knew I had to have them to photograph my wedding. Chrissy is this insanely happy and bubbly personality and Matthew has this laid-back attitude that made them a joy to work with. They were absolutely AMAZING!! They captured all of the pictures we wanted and then the intimate candid shots we didn't even know we wanted!! They bring a personal yet professional touch to every session, every conversation, and every event. They worked flawlessly with our DJ and other vendors, drove us to a park for pictures during cocktail hour, and made sure that we were completely happy with their work. We cannot say enough about how wonderful they were and how happy we were to have our wedding photos taken by them.

Chrissy and Matthew were our photographers for our wedding this past summer, and they did an absolutely incredible job!! They far exceeded our high expectations, and we highly, highly recommend them! Let me start by saying that our photographers were our most important vendor- they were the first vendor that we booked and the one that we spent the most time researching. We looked at dozens of photographers, viewed tons of wedding photographs and met with at least a half dozen photographers. Our research was very thorough, and we are so very happy and thankful that we chose Chrissy and Matthew. They are extremely talented photographers, and also truly great people. The package included our engagement photos (which we are so very happy with!!), and that was really helpful so we felt comfortable with them on our wedding day. They were very calm, kind and flexible and went above and beyond by helping with anything and everything throughout the day- fixing my hairpiece, doing the groomsmens’ bow ties, carrying things, keeping us on schedule, etc. They were also somehow everywhere at once and yet not noticeable at all. We could swear they multiplied into 10 people to capture the photos they took during the sign of peace and the wedding ceremony generally. They are also extremely efficient in taking the group photos, which is very important as the day goes so fast. The photos themselves are breathtaking and we couldn’t be more pleased with them. They delivered so many and there are so many stunning ones we don’t know how we will choose which ones to print and put in an album. Chrissy and Matthew captured so much emotion with the candid photographs and the portraits are perfect! It was also extremely helpful that they were so flexible with timing and patient as the week leading up to our wedding was so hectic because my Grandma was in the hospital. Chrissy was kind enough to come with us to the hospital that day to get some photographs with my Grandma, which meant everything to me. They were even flexible enough to let us reschedule our engagement photos so that we could have them done on a sunny day like we wanted! Overall, we highly, highly recommend that you choose Chrissy and Matthew as your wedding photographers!!

Chrissy and Matthew did an anniversary session for us a few weeks ago. They both seriously made us feel like we were hanging out with friends. We were so relaxed and the photos are AMAZING. Chrissy is so attentive to details yet the photos come off so natural. 10/10, seriously. The only regret we have is that she wasn’t available for our wedding 2 years ago.

They worked well with the kids in our bridal party, as well as our fur babies. They also did a wonderful job of keeping us on time while capturing the most beautiful images of our big day. Weddings by Sal & Bella are amazing! Chrissy and Matthew perfectly captured our day. I've admired their work for quite some time and after they photographed my husband's brother's wedding I was overjoyed to have them shoot ours as well. Not only did they shoot with a month old baby but traveled to the other side of the state to do it! I can't say enough about how WONDERFUL it was working with Chrissy and Matt. I have never met a more caring, generous, and professional photography team. Their attention to detail, dedication, and creative vision can't be matched. Our wedding was during the 2016 January snow storm -- our limo cancelled, 40 guests were stranded, and everyone was freezing...but there were Chrissy and Matt -- shoveling snow before the shoot, shuttling the bridesmaids to the church in their personal car, steaming all the bridesmaids dresses, making sure there were enough handwarmers to go around, and dealing with family drama like champions. THIS is the extra mile...and none that I have EVER heard of photographers doing. ALSO...our photos are breathtaking. They are everything little girls dream of on their wedding day. I couldn't be happier. Chrissy and Matt captured true raw emotions of love and happiness with every snap. I truly believe their love as husband and wife shines through their work and influences the entire creative process. Chrissy and Matt captured both our engagement pictures and our wedding on July 1, 2016. From the very beginning, Chrissy was flexible and collaborative in helping us incorporate our theme in both sets of pictures. Chrissy and Matt shot my best friend's wedding, so I knew that the quality of the pictures would be great. We were looking for pictures that looked more candid and less staged/posed. Aside from the expected group pictures for our wedding day, they did a great job at capturing all of the candid moments between my husband and I and our wedding guests. Looking back on our pictures, I am happy that we chose Matt and Chrissy to capture our big day.

Chrissy and Matthew were a joy to work with and we were very impressed with quality of their work! I love, love, love looking through our photos as the day is often rushed for a bride and seeing how the day unfolded. They captured all of the emotions of a wedding in a wonderful manner. Chrissy and Matthew were amazing! They went above and beyond for us at our wedding. Our videographer didnt show up and once they knew that Matthew started shooting some video for us, so we at least had something. The day after our wedding Chrissy posted 3 "teasers" on facebook and the pictures were stunning! I cant wait to see the rest. We also had them do our engagement photos, they were willing to work with us no matter what we requested and took their time with us and we never felt rushed. The couple are truely a class act and are very professional. I have nothing bad to say about them and cant wait to see the rest of our photos!

Chrissy and Matt were absolutely AMAZING at our wedding!!!! Originally, I hired a photographer for my wedding, and a boudoir shoot came with my package for free. I got the photos back one month before our wedding which was October, 2 2016, and I panicked because they were so awful!!! It looked like she took the photos with an iphone, I got no direction and the background was horrific. I was so upset I didn't know what to do. A friend of mine who is a very reputable childrens photographer recommended Bella and said that she was her friend and was was awesome. I was beyond exited. Our wedding was at Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh and then the reception was at The Boiler Room. They both put so much genuine love and care into taking our photos! They guided us on what looked great and what to do and the pictures that we have seen so far are absolutely STUNNING!!! They both absolutely went above and beyond!!!! They did such amazing work and I would and will recommend them to everyone I know. They were exceptional!!!!
