Sal was wonderful from our first video call with him, until our beautiful wedding in July. He wrote us the most lovely ceremony and really paid attention to detail when it came to including what was important to us in our ceremony. He came to our rehearsal as well, and really knows how to help everyone understand the order of things and where they’re suppose to be. I received so many compliments on my wedding day about what an amazing officiant we had. Sal had a sense of humor, but knew when to be serious and sentimental. Our wedding day would not have been the same if we did not hire Sal to officiate. We are blessed to now call him our friend.

We had never met Sal but based on his reviews we reached out to discuss having him officiate our May 2025 small wedding. We communicated primarily through email and found him to have high attention to detail and he made every effort to ensure he truly understood what we wanted our ceremony to be. He even connected us with a photographer. He was familiar with our venue and did a great job communicating with us prior to the ceremony. During the ceremony he was warm, funny, professional and perfectly captured every aspect we could have imagined for our ceremony. Our guests repeatedly complimented him and how well he performed our ceremony.

I had no idea going into wedding planning what I was looking for when finding our Justice of the Peace. When I found Sal, I looked at all the amazing reviews he has received over the years and knew it would be the right fit. I was not wrong! Sal was a delight to work with, he officiated our ceremony at Hartford City Hall in August. He walked us through the steps to get our marriage certificate and encouraged us to write our own vows. We absolutely loved working with Sal for our wedding! We told our photographer, Trish Kemp, that we were looking for an officiant, and she highly suggested Sal. She has seen dozens of weddings, and she commented that every time he officiates a ceremony, it’s top notch. And we couldn’t agree more after our ceremony. Sal was fantastic to work with from start to finish. During our first consultation with him, he essentially helped us plan our entire ceremony. He sent us detailed emails with examples, options to choose from, etc. so that our ceremony could be as personalized to us as possible. He was genuinely interested in getting to know us which was hugely important to us in an officiant. We didn’t want to feel like we were getting married by someone who was just “clocking in” for the day — and we didn’t feel that way at all with Sal. We felt that he cared about us and about our day. He thinks of absolutely everything and makes the ceremony planning process so easy. We chose not to have a rehearsal since we did not have wedding parties and did not feel the need for one. Sal made us feel completely comfortable with that decision and still ran through our ceremony with us via FaceTime during the final weeks leading up to the wedding. The day of the wedding, he met with both of us briefly right before the ceremony, calmed our nerves, and reminded us of important points. The ceremony itself was pure perfection, and we felt that we were being married by someone who was part of our family. Sal is a fantastic officiant that we cannot recommend enough. If you don’t want your ceremony to feel like it’s generic, and if you want your officiant to be someone who has a strong presence yet isn’t “showy,” Sal is your guy.

Sal was a truly wonderful Justice of the Peace for our wedding ceremony on 10/21/23. When we had our first video call with him, he spent nearly 2 hours explaining the whole process to us, getting some more information about how my husband and I met, and what we would like for our ceremony. He was very quick to respond to any questions we had and was very flexible with making changes to the ceremony plan. The day before the wedding, Sal walked us through the rehearsal and was incredibly kind and funny while helping us get ready for the wedding. My wife and I were married on October 20th and Sal presided over the ceremony for us. Sal was the perfect fit for our wedding and we really couldn’t have made a better choice. Having a wedding at our home with no wedding coordinator was a concern of ours, but Sal put our concerns to rest. He was extremely organized, his communication was spot on, and he clearly demonstrated cues for the procession, so everything flowed smoothly. By honoring our parents with roses and doing an “empty box with love letter ceremony" it allowed for our intimate ceremony to become even more special. The additional charge for having him come to our rehearsal was absolutely worth it, as it ensured everyone was on the same page and it made the day of far less stressful. On the big day Sal spoke clearly and kept the attention of our audience perfectly. The appreciation that Sal showed for all of the hard work that we put into our property in order to make it something our guests would remember was the icing on the cake. Sal was great! We didn’t know what to expect with a Justice of the Peace for our wedding but Sal more then delivered. His zoom meetings and preparations were very helpful, and he suggested things we may have overlooked otherwise. One example of this is the sand ceremony, I had never heard of it before, but he asked us about it and I’m so glad we did it - definetly a highlight for me! Sal was exactly what we were looking for in our wedding ceremony. He was able to accommodate our wishes into the ceremony. Sal has so much knowledge/experience in helping create and touch upon all components that we desired. Sal was so lovely throughout the entire process. He sat down and had a 2-hour long zoom call with us to get to know us/our love story and to discuss his process/his ceremony. He was super flexible when I sent him some sections that I wanted included in the ceremony. On the day of, he showed up early, met our parents and wedding party, spoke with the venue and sound person, and was just really attentive/organized. Sal was the officiant for our outdoor wedding at Water's Edge in May. The time and thought that he put into our ceremony was well beyond my expectations. He really got to know my husband and I, including what made our relationship unique, what was important to us to include in our ceremony, and how we overall envisioned our day. The first time I read the draft of our ceremony I was in tears at how beautiful it was; It was the perfect amount of intimate and light-hearted at the same time, which is exactly what we were looking for. In just one visit with Sal Fiore, my husband and I knew we didn't need to look for any other officiants to perform our wedding ceremony. Sal was heartwarming but funny at the same time. He gave us beautiful options for different kinds of ceremonies to choose from if you wanted more then a traditional ceremony. Sal also provided sample readings (religious or non-religious) to choose out off along with sample programs. The day of our wedding which he was able to do despite the change of dates due to the pandemic, he went over the ceremony calmly with my husband and I individually even though we had a ceremony rehearsal. Sal was very patient and caring towards us throughout the engagement and wedding all at a reasonable price. He performed a lovely ceremony while allowing us to read our own vows! From the moment I read Sal’s bio, I knew he would be perfect for our wedding. He was very helpful through the whole process. Even with things not related to the justice of the peace. He’s funny and had the guests laughing a bit during the ceremony. Sal was awesome! We had been googling JPs and came across him and then had a couple people reccommend him to us so we just knew he had to be good, and he really was. He was so easy to talk to and provided us with a detailed draft of our wedding ceremony. He even convinced us to do our own vows which we were so glad he did because it added a very nice personal touch to our ceremony. Sal helped us create a perfect ceremony. We are not a religious couple, so we honestly weren't entirely sure what should go into our ceremony, and Sal was able to answer all of our questions. My now husband and I met with Sal a couple months out from our wedding and ended up planning the entire ceremony. He gave us options of what to or what not to include and made the planning process easy. It was a big load off of our shoulders to have that done, and done so seamlessly. Sal made himself available for our rehearsal the day before and on the day of the wedding, he could not have been a bigger hit! So many of our friends and family have told us how much they enjoyed Sal and appreciated that he had a perfect mix of serious and comical notes during the ceremony. Sal was a great Justice of the Peace and put together a perfect ceremony for our wedding. We loved all of his suggestions and he was helpful in making decisions on specific areas we were unsure of. We didn't want a long ceremony and he made sure to make it brief (20 min) while still being meaningful. He also fully embraced our unusual readings (movie quotes) and helped us find a was to make things flow perfectly together. He worked seamlessly with our other vendors and really took the lead to make sure everything was just how we wanted it. I cannot recommend Sal enough.

When we got engaged, we thought the easiest part to planning our wedding was going to be securing our officiant. Boy were we wrong! Our family member that officiates weddings was booked, my colleague who is a justice of the peace on the side recently did not renew his license, the person my colleague recommended started working with us and but then randomly said they could not be available for our wedding. What a roller coaster! Then my husband's coworker recommended Sal Fiore. We reached out and set up an in person meeting with Sal shortly after the recommendation. We figured we would get to the meeting, give a few demographic details and leave within a few minutes knowing we at least secured an officiant for our wedding. By the time we left Sal's house over an hour later, we were hooked! We could tell that Sal really loves the work he does and how passionate he was about helping our story, our desires, and love shown through at the ceremony. He walked us through step by step offering guidance and suggestions until we had the perfect ceremony planned for early April 2020. Then Covid-19 hit the state and all of our wedding plans were abruptly cancelled just a few weeks before our big day. As heartbreaking as that situation was, we could not have asked for a better Justice of the Peace to work through these uncharted waters. From the first teary eyed phone call asking about the possibility of rescheduling, to two reschedules and an elopement later, Sal was by our side through it all. Sal took the time to help us adjust our ceremony plans accordingly to make the elopement day special, while still planning a vow renewal with “the big wedding” for late 2021. Our elopement ceremony in October with 10 masked and socially distant family members was better than any ceremony we could have asked for. Sal really made the ceremony special for us and every single guest commented on how fabulous he was. We give Sal “two thumbs up”, “10 out of 10”, 100%, A+, 5 stars!

Sal did a fantastic job for our daughters wedding that was on Saturday, 9/5. He made the ceremony very personal. He put everyone at ease. It was well planned out. We received a number of compliments from our guests. I highly recommend him!!!

Sal is amazing and we would highly recommend him as a wedding officiant. Right from the start it was clear that Sal loves what he does and goes above and beyond to make sure the whole process runs smoothly. When my husband and I first sat down with Sal he spent over two hours getting to know us, asking about how we met, and walking us through all fo the different options for the ceremony. We walked in a little unsure of what to do for the ceremony, but Sal patiently walked us through different ideas, giving us examples from other ceremonies and it made the whole process so much less daunting. With so many things to plan for the wedding, to have someone like Sal help you to distill all the ceremony options down in your first meeting was such a relief. Between the first meeting and the ceremony, Sal stayed in touch with us to make sure everything was going smoothly and to check on our final decisions on the last details of the ceremony. It’s worth noting that when we met with Sal he was extremely transparent and told us he had another wedding on the same day, about an hour prior to our start time. He was confident he would have no issues as the other venue was nearby, but wanted to be upfront given our wedding was in the winter. We were confident that we wanted Sal to be our officiant so we pushed our start time by 15 minutes to ensure that he would make it. Not only did he make it on time, but he took the time to meet the bridal party, our parents and guide everyone through their parts of the ceremony. After our wedding day, as usual friends and family told us what a great time they had, but a number of people commented on the ceremony and in particularly Sal. He definitely has a talent for customizing the ceremony to the couple and it made it so meaningful - and was noticed by others. Throughout the entire process it was such a pleasure working with Sal and we would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Sal was absolutely the best officiant we could have asked for!!! We immediately knew we wanted to hire Sal for our wedding after we first met him due to his personality and obvious knowledge of weddings and ability to tell what we wanted. He spoke loudly and clearly, and made the ceremony all about us! He told appropriate and funny jokes, and he knew how to tug at our guests heart strings. Another plus? He stuck around and took some pictures that he posted on Facebook (after an appropriate amount of time) - they were our first “real pictures” that we saw! I cannot speak higher of Sal!
