Weddings by Sara is an event planning and design service located in Missoula, MT. Owner, Sara Mytty, loves meeting new people, and giving them the opportunity to enjoy the wedding of their dreams. She will work with you from start to finish, from your first consultation to your event teardown.
Born and raised in Montana, Sara is passionate about soon-to-be-weds exchanging their vows in her most beloved state. She has always been an organized person and found her calling after completing her certifications in wedding and event planning after high school. She has experience with venues throughout the area, from Missoula to Flathead Valley, and will strive to turn your location choice into a nuptial paradise.
You will have the option of various packages, from full- and partial-service to day-of-coordination. Throughout your planning process, Weddings by Sara can arrange venue viewings and vendor meetings, while keeping an open line of communication with you. On your big day, Sara will work to maintain your schedule, to keep you relaxed and joyful throughout the evening.
I am a very organized person in my daily life, so wedding planning just clicked with me. I love seeing couples enjoy their day and not stressing about the vendors, decorations, or the timeline for their special day. This is a picture of my family and me doing what I love when I am not planning weddings, being outdoors and exploring new places.

My husband & I had a vision to have an intimate wedding in the mountains of Montana. 🏔️ Coming from Wisconsin, we decided we needed a Wedding Planner to help our vision come to life. Sara helped us plan every single step of the way 1,300 miles away. My husband & I can both attest that our day was nothing less than perfect & surreal. We lived our dream on September 21st, 2024. We have not one single regret & highly recommend Sara to anyone searching for a wedding planner. Being long distance, Sara was more than flexible with planning. Being a night shift Registered Nurse, I’d text Sara at 3am most nights & she would promptly respond that morning. The closer the big day came, the more anxious I had become. Sara stepped in & took all of that anxiety away for me. When the Wedding day finally came, everything went seamlessly. My husband & I were present with our family & friends the entire day. Personally, this was our goal & Sara helped us achieve it. We can’t thank enough of Sara & her assistant Amanda for making sure our day went smoothly. If there were hiccups, my husband & I had absolutely no idea. It was taken care of. Sara & Amanda set up our venue beautifully. It truly was a blessing to have such a gorgeous day, beautiful venue, & an absolutely amazing team. Now that I have experienced working with a Wedding Planner, I highly recommend hiring one. However, not just anyone, Sara Mytty is your girl! ❤️

Sara was our wedding planner--and we could not be more thankful for her services! Initially, we weren't going to hire a planner. It turned out that we really did need one, and Sara did a great job filling that role. It was complicated for us to live and plan from Hawaii, be married in Montana, and have our family coming in from Maryland. Sara helped to pull everything together. She went above and beyond in many ways to ensure we got what we needed to the venue, and was where it needed to be, when it needed to be there, for our big day. She was communicative in the months leading up to our wedding, helping us feel good about our plans. Sara was organized and made her roles clear to us, so there was no confusion day of. We would defintely recommend Weddings by Sara!

My husband and I cannot recommend Sara enough. We hired her as a day of planner. However, she was always available to help us with questions we had all the way through the planning process. She also cares so much about her clients, and that meant so much to us. We knew our big day was in good hands with Sara!

I highly recommend Sara as a day of wedding coordinator! She was very thoughtful and helpful. She made me feel at ease especially during unforseen circumstances!
For example: our flowers were supposed to be delivered to our venue the day before our wedding. Then got postponed to the morning of wedding ..... then we got notified on wedding morning that they won't arrive until days after the wedding! Sara gladly went and handpicked local flowers for us and made the center pieces better than what I originally had planned!

Easiest 5 star review ever! Sara was absolutely amazing to work with! She gave us wonderful recommendations for vendors, worked directly with the vendors for us, and was a total rockstar on the day of our wedding. She created an amazing timeline for us so that we didn't have to stress about a single thing. We couldn't be more thrilled with how everything turned out, and we genuinely could not have done any of it without her help! She made it EASY. Exactly what we were looking for in a wedding planner. I am beyond thankful that we found Sara to coordinate our wedding day. As a very type A/worried person by nature, she made it possible for me to have a relaxing and stress-free wedding day (which included sleeping in, a lakeside stroll in the morning, and a night of dancing!). Sara was amazing to work with. We hired her for our day-of coordinator. From our first call she was so helpful, professional and focused on making our big day go as smoothly as possible. She touched base with us often to update us along the way and provided great resources to help us plan. We hired Sara as our day of coordinator after speaking with several other coordinators. We found Sara to be responsive, prompt, intelligent, and caring. Sara went above and beyond just a day of coordinator. She helped us troubleshoot travel issues, timelines, and wedding details. On the day of our wedding, she brought her mother to assist us in anything we needed and to help set up. They were both wonderful and Sara was by our side with any questions or concerns. Sara made sure all our vendors were on time and ensured that our day would have as little stress as possible. We hired Sara for day of coordination, and she went above and beyond.
Prior to the wedding:
Sara helped reach out to transportation vendors, even though that didn't really fall under the umbrella of "Day of Coordination". She also was super open to sharing decor she had collected from past weddings, and always answered my emails quickly!
Wedding Weekend:
She was present during the rehearsal dinner (along with her mom! Sandy is amazing!) and helped to ensure that everyone knew where to go and when. She also took the reins in regards to decor at the venue. I walked in and was amazed at the design. We also had an issue with one of our vendors just not showing up, and she handled it very calmly and got the vendor there in the end.
10/10 would hire again!

I am in maryland and had our wedding in Montana and she handled everything! I would text her a million questions and she was always able to help. I was able to have my wedding day be perfect and not feel stressed. So nice and sweet too!!

I don't even know where to start. Sara was my life line during and leading up to my wedding. She was the only person I had who was really there for me for every little thing regarding the wedding (even if it was just listening to me vent). She helped me manage my super difficult venue and would regularly email my vendors to make sure everything was still going the way we had planned. On the actual day she ran everything smoothly and without much help from me. I brought all the things that needed to go on the tables and her and her mother organized everything. It was better than I could have even imagined, she took my dreams and manifested them into reality. She has such a warm and sweet attitude, she truly is gem of human being. AND SHE IS SO AFFORDABLE FOR WHAT SHE OFFERS. She is truly a hidden gem that I don't imagine will be hidden for long. Thank you Sara for everything I can never repay you for what you did for Shay and I.

I hired Sara for Day of Coordination and she really went above and beyond!
From the very beginning she set good communication boundaries and expectations. When our officiant fell through, I was able to call her to help find another option. As I booked vendors, I was able to include her contact information and leave timeline, arrivals, set up, tear down, etc. all to her and focus on enjoying my family and friends. Sara even delivered rentals back to a vendor for me post-wedding.
We had a freak rainstorm and high winds 40 minutes before the OUTDOOR ceremony and celebration, but Sara and Sandy worked to quickly get the venue and décor back in order. When I walked down the aisle it was like nothing had ever happened!!! There was damage to our cake due to wind, but we would have never known thanks to Sara’s quick and crafty skills.
Whether you are a local and just want a hand on your big day, or a destination wedding in need of full-service planning, Sara is your girl!

Weddings by Sara saved me my sanity. I live in Mississippi and we have a family cabin in remote location located in Darby. She immediately responded to my request and I hired her for the job. She located us the best catering , L&M Eats which was fabulous and affordable. She handled the rentals of tents etc… she located us a bakery and florist . She even found of a wonderful Minister for the ceremony. Sara has a calmness and ease about her that can accomplish a variety of obstacles. Sara is professional and continued checking on orders and deliveries until all fell into place beautifully. I would definitely hire her for an event . We actually just really lucked up on finding such a gem. I highly recommend Sara Mytty, Weddings by Sara. 5 stars 🌟
