Married for 32 years and proud parents to four sons, we have spent much of our lives in South Dakota. However, our love for Alaska has always been a guiding force, leading us to make the move to this stunning state once our children were grown and we embraced the joys of being empty nesters. Jason has always had a passion for the great outdoors, thriving in activities like fishing and hunting. Meanwhile, Valerie brings a wealth of experience from her lifelong career in the hospitality and restaurant industry. Together, we found the perfect opportunity to combine our passions and expertise by establishing Shulin Lake Lodge and Weddings by Shulin. As we embark on this exciting venture, we are eager to create unforgettable experiences for our guests while sharing the beauty and adventure that Alaska has to offer. We look forward to welcoming you to our lodge and sharing our love for this remarkable place!
