One-of-a-Kind Ceremony to Reflect Your Unique Love
Based in Northwest Ohio, Weddings For The Ages is a wedding officiant service. We combine caring, creativity, and experience into a process that makes ceremony planning as stress-free as possible! We've helped to create more than 300 one-of-a-kind ceremonies for couples, making every celebration personal and memorable. Over 20 dedicated officiants are ready and available to serve couples throughout the states of Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana.
Every couple and every event is different, so each ceremony is customized to reflect the couples unique love story, personalities, and vibe! Our goal is to create a service that you will remember forever. We love to meet with couples multiple times before the ceremony, letting us get to know you better, and allowing you to explain your vision for your ceremony and ask any questions you may have.
Your comfort is so important to us. Your whole wedding day will be a rollercoaster of emotion, but the high point will be when you stand in front of your friends and family, and pledge your lives to each other - you'll want to feel comfortable and confident with the person who's guiding that moment! That's why we don't let couples book us until you've had a chance to talk with your officiant, so we can make sure that everyone feels like it's a good fit.
Whether you want a basic ceremony or something much more elaborate, we have packages to make your dream ceremony a reality. From a five-minute "mini-mony" in the park, to an hour-long extravaganza with music and movement, we are here to make it happen. Even quick paperwork-only services!
We are welcoming to all beliefs, backgrounds, and traditions, and are happy to include any special prayers, readings, or ceremonies that are significant to you; in fact, we love performing inter-faith ceremonies! Combining backgrounds and traditions in interesting ways can be incredibly fun!
We celebrate love in all forms, and all couples are welcome. We have experience performing weddings for same-sex, opposite-sex and non-binary couples. We are more than happy to use whatever pronoun(s) you prefer and will design the ceremony to fit with your personal beliefs. BOOK THEM NOW. Weddings for the Ages went above and beyond my expectations. Very helpful with meetings leading up to the big day, day of was marvelous, and following your big day will also guide you to "what's next". Absolutely amazing. Do yourself a favor and book them now because they will be there every step of the way.
Where do we even begin?! Atonn and Jodie at Weddings for the Ages were awesome to work with. Atonn was our officiant and we cannot even put into words how amazing he was. Our family and friends LOVED the ceremony. We were asked no less than 25 times how we knew him and how long we had been friends. If that doesn't tell you how much effort and time he puts into making your ceremony personalized to you, I'm not sure what will! Atonn quickly became someone that we were excited to talk to, meet with, and become friends with. Thank you for being there with us every step of the way and for just being you! Atonn married my husband and I on 9/14/2024. I CANNOT RECOMMEND HIM ENOUGH! From the beginning to end of the wedding planning process, he goes above and beyond to ensure that your ceremony is as big or as little as you want it to be. His questionnaire really felt special to us because it was like he was trying to understand us more in order to write our ceremony. He is one of the kindest souls we've ever came across. Book him if you're looking for an officiant!
Atonn married us in August of this year, 2024. We are so grateful we found him and Weddings For The Ages. He was respectful, kind, and made us feel comfortable through the entire process. Which, was huge for us considering we were sharing a lot of personal information with a complete stranger. He never pressured us to give more than we wanted to and molded our ceremony to be exactly what WE wanted it to be, respecting our boundaries and embracing our sense of humor the entire way. Communication with Weddings For The Ages was great! They checked in frequently at milestone moths throughout our engagement as our wedding date drew closer. At our actual ceremony, Atonn had written such beautiful and personal things about our relationship that our guests couldn't believe that he wasn't a close friend, and was someone we had hired. If you’re looking for a top notch wedding officiant Weddings For The Ages is the way to go specifically though I highly recommend Atonn! He truly made our ceremony so special. He has such an amazing personality and my husband and I bonded so well with him throughout the process. He kept me so calm before the ceremony which is truly just what I needed. Weddings for the Ages was an amazing choice for our ceremony! Atonn was so personable and a delight to work with. He easily blended my husband’s Catholic background and my non-denominational background to deliver a ceremony that everyone was pleased with. The support from Atonn from start to finish was much appreciated as we were so unaware of what type of information was needed to have a ceremony and what the process entailed. He was able to answer all of our questions and made the process stress free. He paid great attention to the details from getting to know us. He used them to share some of our personal stories and add some humor to our ceremony which kept it perfectly light hearted as we requested. We had a wonderful experience with Scott from Weddings for the Ages! Scott put a ton of thought and care into crafting the perfect wedding ceremony. He had a ton of suggestions prepared as far as ceremony readings and unity ceremony. There was a thorough questionnaire that was a ton of help with describing our relationship so the ceremony could be unique to us. Great option for any type of wedding ceremony (non religious or religious) and very affordable pricing. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for an officiant for their wedding!
We had Michael Barlos as our officiant and he was seriously so amazing and the perfect fit for us! Every meeting ran smooth including our rehearsal! The ceremony was absolutely perfect! He was so fun and easy to work with!

Atonn was our officiant for the wedding ceremony, our experience was beyond what we hoped for! Amazing does not even sum up our experience with wedding for the ages! Communication was excellent throughout the planning process. Atonn got to know us through in person meetings, emails, and phone conversations. One of the best parts was the questionnaire that we filled out, which gave him a deeper understanding of how we are as a couple! Let me get to the best part the ceremony! Atonn made our ceremony so fun, the best part was it was tailor made to be personal to us and what we like and most importantly our love story! After the ceremony was finished many of our guest commented that this was one of the best ceremonies they have ever been to! Atonn. You created the most beautiful ceremony ever. We cannot thank you enough, but what we can do is help to share how amazing it was with others here. My husband and I had no idea where to start when it came to looking for an officiant. We attending a few wedding events, but just did not feel a connection with anyone. I did extensive online searching and review reading, and I stumbled upon Atonn at weddings for the ages. I was blown away with the amount of positive reviews he had received. Our first meeting was one I’ll never forget. My husband and I were SOOOO nervous until we had ONE conversation with him, and we opened right up. He is friendly, inviting, relatable, and most importantly he respected every decision we wanted to make regarding our ceremony. He asked questions that helped us draft our desired ceremony with him. He also helped us with many unity feature ideas when we were unsure. He attended our rehearsal to ensure everyone knew what we were supposed to do and when. He was patient and attentive to everything we talked about. He included all the small details about us that we mentioned in meeting with him and discussing in his questionnaire and you can tell he put thought and emotion into every word he said. I LOVED that he offered to review both of our personal vows before the ceremony, because they were SOO in sync. He ensured we got our marriage license in the appropriate time and got it filed very quickly!!! I appreciate him for everything! Once we have more photos back, we’ll be sure to share them with you. Atonn and Jodie were nothing short of amazing. Upon booking for our micro-wedding ceremony, Jodie was prompt and friendly with communication and coordinating meetings with Atonn. I LOVE that Atonn took time to learn about us as a couple and scheduled a video chat to create a relationship with us so our experience felt extra personal. The questionnaire they sent pre-ceremony to learn about our history was so fun to fill out together. We had a specific request to be pronounced married at 11:11am and Atonn made sure that happened organically. He made sure we felt calm and comfortable at the beginning of our ceremony and wrote a beautiful script for our special day. His words were so thoughtful and meaningful to us as a couple that we’ve chosen to print out a copy to incorporate in to our wedding album!
We had Scott as our officiant, and I'm so glad we had him around! He was very personable and took extra care to customize the ceremony to something that really matched our styles. We couldn't have had anyone better!
Atonn is the best. My parents are very traditional and wanted a church wedding so it made them nervous when we hired an officiant, but they have not stopped talking about how amazing he was. We heard from everyone how personal the ceremony felt and how they actually enjoyed it and felt like we are all on this journey together. He is the best and was so much fun to work with and unbelievable professional. I would recommend him to anyone I met and so glad we were able to have him on our special day!
Atonn is such a great person and was SO easy to work with. We started planning our wedding from out of state before moving back to the area and we had no issues with communication. We told Atonn we wanted something short & sweet and still kind of traditional but fun, and he did an excellent job. The pre-wedding questionnaires were fun and helpful to complete so Atonn got to know us a little better despite not meeting in person until the day of our rehearsal. We're so thankful for him and Jodie!
Weddings for the ages was exactly what we needed for an officiant service. We have a hectic life with 2 small children and work so trying to plan a wedding was difficult. They made it easy by communicating via text and phone at our convenience. Scott was so friendly and we just loved the personality he brought to our ceremony!

My fiance and I had been searching for an officiant or pastor to perform our service for quite some time. It was a little bit of a drive from where we live to where we were getting married. After several officiants backed out we were blessed to have Darlene cross our paths. Darlene and the wedding party both live about 2 hours away from where our venue was. She gave us the most memorable service possible. My bride and I were both late to our own wedding, were never on time, lol. Darlene waited for us. She included a few things in our ceremony we didn't discuss on the phone and it was beautiful. She had everyone present pray and have good thoughts and wishes on our rings before we exchanged them. We thought that was pretty neat. If I had to do it all over again, I would gladly have Darlene perform our service. Darlene is very punctual on time and goes over everything to ensure the couple is getting the wedding that they desire to have. You will not be disappointed with her services. BTW her husband is a big support to her during the ceremony.
Oh we absolutely love Atonn! He was so compassionate and kind to us. He didn’t just officiate for us, he listened to us and helped us navigate our family dynamics. He helped make our wedding special and we can’t thank him enough for the constant encouragement. He is the best of the best!

My daughter booked Weddings for the Ages…she had no referral from friends and knew no one that had used them. So she was going in blind!! Needless to say as the Mother of the Bride, I was quite nervous! She booked the officiant Scott Stechschulte! Scott was amazing! He communicated with the bride & groom to hear what their “vision” was as a ceremony. He really got to know the couple in a short amount of time via phone calls & a detailed questionnaire. He was the ultimate professional during rehearsal & ceremony. His ceremony was so personal, sincere & even funny at times. I would highly recommend Scott as an officiant!

Atonn talked us though every step of the way, meeting with us several times prior to the wedding to make sure our wedding was going to be exactly what we wanted and that we were as prepared as we could be for the actual day. Everything went off without a hitch and his ceremony was beautifully tailored to what we wanted. We had a few things go not as planned (as anyone does at a wedding) and he was a huge help in making sure things continued to run smoothly during the ceremony. The months leading up to the ceremony, Jodie was so great at communicating with us to make sure we felt comfortable with everything and to make sure that we were getting everything we wanted. We met with Atonn multiple times leading up to the wedding and all of our meetings went so well! Atonn genuinely wanted to get to know us and worked hard to make our ceremony as unique as we are. My husband and I had decided later on that we wanted to do a unity barrel and Atonn jumped right on board with it and knew exactly what to say! I could not have asked for a better person than Darlene to officiate my wedding (7-16-2022). She was personable and truly cared to answer questions we had along with bringing our story to life within our ceremony. She truly has a talent. Among all of the stress with the other vendors and family-Darlene was like icing on a cupcake-she was that pleasant to work with.
I don't think I could ever find all of the words to explain how perfect our wedding ceremony was because of Atonn. Atonn is the type of person that we could look at as more than just an officiant. We started talking with and getting to know him many months before our wedding and it absolutely showed. He was so professional but personable, had the biggest heart, and we instantly felt like he genuinely cared about what we wanted with our wedding ceremony. We vibed with him in ways that I didn't expect to with our officiant. When it came to our wedding day, I could not have asked for our ceremony to go better. We had an unexpected change to our officiant 2 days before our wedding due to our officiant getting COVID. I honestly think that was a huge blessing in disguise. Atonn showed up at our rehearsal dinner two days before the wedding, which is where we met him for the first time. He stayed after the rehearsal to ask us many questions to get to know us very well for our ceremony. Our entire ceremony was perfect! Atonn made it very personal and also threw in some jokes to keep it light hearted. We could not have asked for a better officiant for our wedding! Atonn was very professional, flexible, and knowledgeable about everything for this being our first time with an officiant and booking him a month and a half out from our wedding! We both loved speaking with him and his suggestions we never even thought about. Wedding day is here and it rains all morning. Ceremony is in our back yard, it is a swamp... we are running late. Atonn was patient with us and made it all about us and made it perfect for us! I would definitely recommend to anyone to book with him!
We worked with Scott for our wedding and he was PERFECT. We did a themed wedding, and he went all out to make sure the ceremony had the exact flair we were looking for. He met with us multiple times to review the process, and listened to all of our requests. He was able to take all of that information and create a ceremony that was perfect for us, and showed who we were as a couple.
I cannot speak highly enough of Atonn and the Weddings For The Ages staff. They made the entire process not only smooth and painless, but fun! We had the pleasure of working with Michael Barlos for our wedding this August. He is personable, easy to talk to, a good listener, and he has a great sense of humor. Michael was able to help us create the exact type of ceremony we were looking for. He got to know my husband, his daughters, and I on a personal level which aided in our ceremony creation. We had the pleasure of working with Atonn from Weddings for the Ages not once, but twice because of COVID restrictions pushing off our full-sized wedding and we wouldn't have had it any other way!
Atonn took pains to meet and communicate with us often in the months leading up to our big day in order to better get to know us as individuals and as a couple and strove to cater our ceremony to fit our personalities, style, and needs. He also did an absolutely outstanding job writing two very distinct ceremonies that were at once lighthearted, solemn, and tender. He exuded a calm, joyful presence when we needed it most getting through our nerves in front of all our friends and family during the wedding and was a truly an invaluable guide and partner in making our day special and memorable.

Atonn was amazing ! Covid made meeting tonight but He helped us feel confident in our decision over our virtual meetings leading up to the wedding day. On our wedding day he brought not only sincerity but laughter and helped set the tone for the wedding day/ reception.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding officiant than Atonn with Wedding for the Ages! We were nervous at first being an out-of-state couple and finding an officiant who would create a personalized ceremony for us, but Atonn instantly eased those worries and shot it out of the park. Each time we virtually met with him it was like catching up with an old friend and we loved hearing the crazy stories from his many years of experience. Atonn made our ceremony so personal from day 1. He was so comfortable with making sure the day was for US. As a now step mother, who really wanted to include my husband's daughter in the ceremony, it was so important to me that our officiant be flexible and recognize that our day was about all 3 of us. He went above an beyond. The moment he started talking, I was able to relax and ENJOY my ceremony. Atonn also stepped out of the center when we gave vows and had our first kiss so that our pictures turned out amazing. Atonn was amazing. He met with us on multiple occasions and really listened to what we had to say. He really got to know us and put in so much effort into our wedding. He was super flexible even with the date change due to Covid and made everything flow natural. His business is very professional and if you can’t find someone to marry you he and his team can do it. He even did so well that my dad which is hard to please even commented on how well he did and made it seem like Atonn had known us for a while. We are SO happy that we went with Weddings for the Ages for our wedding officiant. The first time we met with Ardy we instantly clicked. He was so friendly, and super easy to talk to. He made the entire process so easy, and he helped us figure out exactly what we wanted for our ceremony. We even had to postpone our original larger wedding date, and we decided to have a small ceremony with our family in the park on our originally planned wedding day. He was there for us and married us in the park, then when we were able to have our larger wedding reception he performed a vow renewal for us. He was SO flexible and was there for us every step of the way even when things got a little stressful with coronavirus. Atonn did a tremendous and professional job providing a ceremony that was precisely what we had hoped for. If you're looking for an officiant with experience, charisma and professionalism look no further. We were an out of town couple and Atonn went out of his way to schedule multiple Skype meetings and get to know us on a personal level. It felt like a wedding officiated by a friend or family member.

With the pandemic, our plans changed within the two weeks prior to the wedding date and Atonn was able to adjust accordingly. I honestly got so many compliments about what a great job he did. Next year my husband and I will be having our original ceremony (because we couldn't get our money back from vendors) and Atonn agreed to be there again if we choose to go that route. My final thought- when looking at officiants earlier this year, I reached out to several places. We had Atonn as our wedding officiant and he was amazing! He made the ceremony so personal and lighthearted which is exactly what we wanted. He really took the time to get to know our story and our relationship. He kept coming up to us before the ceremony and saying to just breathe and take it in. Right before we walked down the aisle he reminded us why were there and what it truly meant. It wasn’t about if everything went as planned or if this person was in the right spot, it was about us and our family and friends and our love. He was such and easy person to talk to and made everything so easy. Their communication and customer service was excellent as well. As a COVID couple they made it so easy to change our date. During such a stressful time Atonn and Weddings for the Ages just gave us one less thing to have to worry about. If it wasn’t for social distancing I would have given Atonn a huge hug!
We had originally booked Weddings For The Ages a year ago. Expecting a normal wedding at our venue with all of our guests. Then just three months before our wedding the pandemic hit and we were faced with the decision of what to do. We ended up changing our plans and decided on a backyard wedding with just our close family. Through the changes Michael was able to help us and accommodate our new plans. He wrote a beautiful ceremony, that was sweet and to the point, which is what we had asked for. All of our guests enjoyed the ceremony and asked where we had found an officiant. We were very thankful for our experience with Michael and Weddings for the Ages!

Atonn did an amazing job with our ceremony. We chatted over the phone once to get a basic outline of what we wanted out of our ceremony a few months beforehand. We video chatted to talk about the details about a month before the wedding. And Atonn was available to really hone in and help us finish the planning for the rehearsal. He made the ceremony so personable. He worked very well with our style - inserting not overly-cheesy jokes and sweet moments throughout the ceremony. They wasted no time in helping us out and set us up with Michael Barlos who did an amazing job officiating our ceremony. Highly, highly recommend Weddings for the Ages and Michael in particular.
Carlyn is warm and professional. She was very easy to work with and supported our wants and needs for the ceremony. She asked us what we wanted and gave great suggestions that helped us shape our ceremony and make it personal. Our only minor complaint is that the name she signed on our marriage license didn’t match the name she is registered under. Luckily we were able to fix it with a phone call but it delayed the process and was a small inconvenience. She was also very responsive. Overall we would recommend Weddings for the Ages and Carlyn!
We adored Scott! He was so easy going, his words really hit home! He had to stay a bit after the ceremony to get our license without an issue. Truly thrilled with our vows. Atonn was absolutely incredible as our officiant! I remember being nervous when I was looking for officiants because I knew how important they are for your ceremony. I had searched for awhile online and had come across Weddings for the Ages. I had called Atonn shortly after about his services and I immediately felt comfortable talking to him on the phone. He answered all of my questions and I could tell he really cared about his clients. After the phone call I decided that my husband and I had to meet up with him in person. We both immediately connected with Atonn at our first meeting and had felt like we had known him for a long time. We both said “wow this guy could have been a perfect fit in our friend group.”We hired him and I have to say it was one of the best decisions we had made for our wedding!

We were lucky enough to have Atonn for our wedding ceremony and it was perfect. He had us fill out a questionnaire when we first met him and he did an amazing job using all of those little details in our ceremony. He was very nice and accommodating with any requests. He was very professional but also joked around with us and made it fun. We had many family and friends come up to us and say he did an amazing job. Highly recommended by my husband and myself!
