Gayle was great through the entire process. I had a lot of questions and she was always patient and responded quickly to my emails. The team handled everything for the ceremony whi...
ch made it very easy for us. We even booked our reception venue (Starlite Dining Cruises) through Weddings on a Whim. For not having a practice run, I think it all went great! If you’re looking for a wedding package that makes getting married easy, I would recommend Weddings on a Whim (actually have to a friend already).
Had a lovely experience with the whole team, from start to finish every interaction was very pleasant and easy! Which we all know weddings can be so stressful. All I had to do was ...
show up and the team took over. I did a lot of research before booking and weddings on a whim was by far the most affordable. Thank you guys for making our day easy and memorable.
Our daughter and her fiance had secured a venue to get married next week. We were all so excited to have found Weddings on a Whim... Our daughter (a police officer) and her fiance ...
(Marine Officer) have been living in two different places for some time. Securing down a date was nearly impossible for them due to his Military schedule. They were supposed to have a window of opportunity next week just before Thanksgiving and we had everything set for them to get away just the two of them as they have not seen each other in almost 12 weeks. Gayle was in communication with our daughter about how to get their marriage license in such a short time and we were all so excited that they were finally going to get married... until our future son in law received his Military Orders to report for his next assignment 1 week before their planned wedding. As soon as our future son in law received his orders, our daughter called Gayle to let her know. The deposit we put down was non-refundable. My husband called Gayle to see if there was any possible way for her to refund their money due to the circumstances that he received MILITARY ORDERS to report for duty. She refused initially but then said, "I'll pray on it and let your daughter know tomorrow, I'll call her to discuss it". Gayle did not even have the decency to call our daughter, instead she sent her an email advising that she would not refund her the deposit. While I understand there are policies and rules in place, these are extenuating circumstances for Military Orders, Orders that we were gladly going to share with Gayle at Weddings on a Whim for proof. We are truly disappointed that Gayle with Weddings on a Whim couldn't find it in her heart to refund this young couple that are SERVING and PROTECTING not only our safety as a police officer but someone that is serving OUR COUNTRY as a New Marine Officer. We offered for Gayle to keep the "administrative fees" and refund the rest and she still said no.
We decided to go through with our wedding regardless of coronavirus and we only had our mothers attend. Aside from this, everything was a disaster. See the pictures with nobody in ...
it? That's not gonna happen. See the nice photos? Don't use their people.
Want your names said correctly? Don't book with these people. Our wedding was completely ruined. Not only did we have literally everyone on top of us, we were interrupted constantly, our names were said wrong on 3 different occassions by the same lady, and the pictures were absolutely disgusting. I'm embarrassed. I'm upset. I'm angry. Never ever give these people your money. What should have been an easy, quiet ceremony was an awful night.
I used Weddings on a Whim to officiate my wedding in Nov. 2018. This was a HUGE mistake. It was the most unprofessional ceremony that my family and our guests have ever attended! ...
Joe was our officiant. He called me (the bride) by the wrong name, he didn’t ask my father "who gives this woman to this man?", he took a very short and simple script and spread it out onto several pages of this huge binder he was on the verge of dropping, he was not at all prepared or familiar with the ceremony reading whatsoever, he fumbled almost EVERY word written on the script, he did not even give the groom or myself the microphone to read our vows so most guests were unable to hear us, and he would add silly words like: "good job" and "right answer" after the groom and I spoke. This was so irritating! This was a day where you want everything to go right, and literally everything BUT the officiant did. All he had to do was read the paper. He even said during the ring exchange: "Put your finger on her finger"! He did not even bother to correct himself. Our guests even asked, where did he come from?", "Was this his first wedding?". There was laughter and confusion amongst wedding guests during the ceremony. It irks me that on our wedding video, these ridiculous mistakes will be there forever! I was so embarrassed we chose such an incompetent person to officiate our nuptials. I deeply regret this decision, and I do not want another couple to go through this. Five years ago, my sister hired a well-spoken gentleman from this company whom was amazing, but has since retired. I would recommend that Joe also retire now. Thankfully, after complaining to the owner we did receive a much deserved refund. I am not advising against this company, but solely against this particular officiant. Selecting a satisfactory officiant is a very important decision that should not be overlooked!
The officiants are incredible!!! They made the ceremony perfect just for us.
Thank you to Tom who made our wedding ceremony so special and fitting to us. He was helpful with coming up of the order of our ceremony and making sure we had all the pieces we wan...
ted in it. He made a special trip out to our venue when we came to visit a few months prior to our wedding- this was extra special because I understand this is not a frequent thing. He was absolutely wonderful!
I had Officiant Tom as my officiant and he was wonderful. When we set up for them to be our officiants, they sent us this huge file, ok not that huge, but it was pretty big, of all...
the readings and such that we could choose from.
I chose the Beach Ceremony as well as one of the Stepchildren Ceremonies so that I could include my stepson. I conversed with Tom via email for all of our transactions and he always got back to me quickly and answered my questions with ease. He called me 2 nights before the wedding to go over logistics and to ask what he could wear. :) I advised tan pants and a white dress shirt would be fine. He was extremely greatful for that since we got married at 6pm on St Pete Beach!
It was great to have him officiating for us. I wonder if they do vow renewals.... :)
