nd I remember walking out of there with a big burden off my shoulders, thinking - I think we got this, after only about 30 minutes of planning with her. She knew how to help me organize the ceremony and guide me in the right direction. We also wanted to write our own vows and Wenda was just the right person to help lead me when the thoughts were there for me but the words weren’t. Every time I think about our ceremony I can’t help but smile. I am so glad we decided to video tape the ceremony because the advice and words spoken will be forever cherished. Wenda addressed me individually during the ceremony and tailored it to my personality. She knew the advice that would be helpful and knew just what I needed to hear. She was flexible with the ideas that we had and I must say we enjoyed getting to light our remembrance candles for our dads with a torch (my husband’s idea of course) The honoring of the parents was something I had never seen done before. I know it meant a lot to our parents and I was humbled through the process. No family relationships are perfect but she taught me to reflect on all the sacrifices they had made for me. She really helped put my family into the proper order and helped me gain some incredible perspective throughout as we focused on our individual upbringing. It helped my husband and I understand some of the unique experiences in our upbringing that influenced our personalities and preferences. Understanding your spouse more by taking a closer look at their family upbringing is priceless. If you understand where your spouse is coming from it helps give you a perspective on your differences and insight into some of their personal struggles as well as some challenges that you may face as a couple. Understanding leads to overcoming. We got a lot of comments on our ceremony throughout the night, on how unique and well it was done. I had someone say that it is not often that you see both tears and laughter during the ceremony, but we had it. Our ceremony is something I will never forget. Not only was it unique but it was God honoring. We were truly blessed to have Wenda as the pastor who married us.

Also, everything went as planned because with Wenda, everything is planned to the detail. She really helps you think through things and makes sure that when the day arrives everyone and everything is in place beforehand. I am so glad Wenda married my husband and I. The before prep helped us become more fully the spouses that we wanted to be. The time spent with her was not painful, but instead was life giving and it made us very hopeful about our future. I'd choose her if you don't want your wedding ceremony to be boring and lifeless.
