was unable to do a trial because I do not live in the area and was nervous about accomplishing my desired look. Both girls gave me exactly what I was looking for without much instruction or having to re-do their work. They also did hair and make up for my maid of honor, mother, and mother-in-law. We were all very happy with the final product. The girls were punctual and personable. They make my wedding day a breeze and were fun to have around while getting ready for the big day!

They brought that same wonderful energy to the morning of the wedding and it definitely set the tone for the rest of the day. I was so nervous (It was my big day how could I not be), and they made me feel so calm and beautiful. They are so incredibly talented, and I would recommend them to every single person who wants a fun, affordable, and memorable hair and makeup experience.Also, Heather is a unicorn - one of a kind and truly spectacular, and her passion is what makes her so amazing.

Almost two years later, I was now engaged, preparing a wedding back in Annapolis, Maryland, and knew immediately who I wanted to call for hair and makeup, not only because of the work I saw them do during the previous wedding I was in, but because Heather also does regular hair on the side, and she is someone my sister started to go to and my sisters hair is always great. I scheduled a trial about 8 months before our wedding since I live across the country and I honestly wanted my hair and makeup done by them for every event I was so impressed. A few months, I was returning home for our engagement photos and a couples shower, and I called Heather last minute asking if she and Julia could do my hair and makeup for both. She and Julia worked around my schedule over a holiday weekend to help make me feel my best during two big events. Not to mention, for all the events, including my big day, I did not ONCE have to fix up my makeup. It stayed on the entire time, even after the big day through the night of endless partying. I dont know how Julia did it, but it was amazing not having to worry about bringing around makeup to fix up throughout the night. The big thing I'd like to point out about these two ladies, is how they went above and beyond to help with my big day. I got married at the Naval Academy where security protocols are intense. When I reached out to Heather and Julia to fill out the extra forms and do the extra work, they had no hesitations. With some vendors, this would be an easy way for them to take advantage and charge more for the extra work that wasnt before hand agreed on, however, Heather and Julia got to work on all the forms they needed to submit, and got themselves cleared to drive on and off base for the big day. That is was truly meant the most to me is how they went above and beyond for a clients big day. These girls are incredible at their job. They make themselves available via email, phone, and text to answer any questions you have, including questions about makeup! I would highly recommend WeddingsBySage if you're getting married in the area because you wont regret it.

Their work is absolutely phenomenal. I looked the same the day of my trial as I did my wedding day which was a tremendous relief. The ONLY annoying part was you are required to pay the balance, day of, in cash. Having to account for cash (and a certain amount) as opposed to just a check was an extra thing to be aware of but it was worth it. Loved working with them!

The day of the wedding I had expected, as discussed with Heather, that there would be a prep hair stylist in addition to Stefanie. Stefanie arrived and had to inform me that there would be no prep person. Heather had known about this for days prior to my wedding and chose not to inform me but to have her employee come to my event and give the bad news. This was shocking and upsetting to me as it was not at all what I had expected. Stefanie was able to complete all 8 of our hair styles and they turned out beautifully. She did an amazing job. Julia was our make up artist and she too did a wonderful job though unfortunately arrived close to an hour late which negatively affected our photos and consequently the beginning of the ceremony. Though I would use Stefanie and Julia again I would not use WeddingsBySage as communication does not seem to be the top priority.

Angela did great makeup. My bridesmaids were also all pleased.
