ah was the absolute perfect choice for us. Our meetings with her were delightful, getting to know her and telling our story. She prepared the perfect script in tone, humor and sincerity. Our guests thought we'd known each other for years. We couldn't have asked for anyone better!

a little detail because a) Sarah really did a fantastic job, and b) I know how hard it can be to find the right wedding vendors. Here's my original review: Of all the vendors needed to make sure a wedding goes off without a hitch (or *with* a hitch? puns are fun, okay?), my now-husband and I figured the officiant didn't matter all that much. We put finding one at the bottom of our list and prioritized our search for a venue, a caterer, and a photographer. Because of that, we really lucked out that our wedding planner connected us with Sarah, saying she'd be perfect for conducting our ceremony. She was right. We, on the other hand, were wrong. The officiant *does* matter. They matter a lot. Just like the scenery, the flowers, and that dress you had to have, the officiant's words and actions contribute to your wedding's overall atmosphere. A good officiant sets the tone for the entire day. They put you at ease, make your guests feel welcome, encourage your cousin to turn off his phone, tell your love story, and help you through the rites and rituals of getting married while your brain malfunctions. Sarah did all of this and more. Sarah met with us three times ahead of our wedding to get to know us. Over coffee, she led us through a discussion of our values, our backgrounds, our shared history, our beliefs, the significance of marriage, and more. Despite the seriousness of these topics, Sarah kept the meetings conversational and friendly--in fact, we looked forward to them! She routinely checked her interpretation of our responses by reframing them in her own words and she often produced the best word to express a sentiment we had trouble articulating. Sarah brought suggestions for readings and ways to structure our ceremony. She demonstrated her experience additionally by asking practical and logistical questions that we never would have thought about. From these short sessions, Sarah crafted a ceremony that captured the essence of our relationship and felt true to who we are. She brought warmth, joy, and levity (we wanted a few chuckles) to the ceremony and gave an engaging performance of it. We absolutely loved it and so did our guests--during the reception, many of them gushed about how wonderful Sarah was. I'm delighted to gush about her myself here in this review. I emphatically recommend her to anyone looking for a personalized wedding ceremony and an officiant you'll remember for all the right reasons. Do yourself a favor and reach out to her today.
