John is absolutely amazing and a Master at his craft. He was able to get every photo we wanted and ones we didn’t even know we wanted! John was super flexible with scheduling as our original date was affected by Covid-19. John was on-time and present until the very last moment of the night. Very personable and very easy going. If and when anyone asks for recommendations, John will be our choice for Weddings, Family photos or anything you need a photographer for!

I cannot say enough good things about John at Welsh Studios. The quality of his work is beyond any other photographer around. The moments he is able to capture that you would never even think of asking for will take your breath away. I am not one for the "posed" pictures. I want someone who can capture the moment, capture the feeling, make those looking at the pictures feel the emotion of that day. This is what John can do! His prices are a little shocking at first but honestly when I shopped around he was very comparable to others in the area and you will quickly learn that you cannot put a price on the quality of his work. Plus, he is willing to customize packages for you so DO NOT get sticker shock without spending some time to meet with him personally. I can guarantee, you will NOT regret it.

What can I say about Welsh Studios, they are an amazing photography business with amazing talent and professionalism. My wife and I had our wedding photos done through John, the owner, and we couldn't have been more happy with how they turned out! He even stayed longer than the allotted time to make sure he caught all of the precious moments that happened throughout the night. The price was very reasonable compared to big photography studios and it was worth every penny! I would definitely go to John for other big events such as school pictures for kids, big family parties, etc. They offer a wide variety of options to choose from when you select a package. John is very cooperative and is willing to work around a budget and help you meet it, and won't try to force you to buy something you don't need. This company deserves a 5/5 rating completely and I look forward to doing business with John and his family again in the future.

If you are in the planning on getting married in the Chicago Subs, give John Welsh a call. From our first meeting till our wedding day John was professional, personal, and accommodating to every dream we had for wedding. My husband and I are not so creative, but John was able to turn two boring accountants into a beautiful head over heels couple in love. John helped organize what pictures we wanted him to capture, and then gave us piece of mind to enjoy our day while he captured everything that took place. Looking back on the pictures we received, it was clear we missed things, but John was able to help us see what was going on while we were socializing with guests. We were blown away with the pictures he captured, and the job of his videographer. The day truly was perfect, and now we have wonderful photos and video re relive our special day. We would recommend Welsh Studios to everyone looking for a stress free and well priced photographer. We were so happy with every penny we spent at Welsh Studios. Thanks John for capturing our memories!

My Husband and I wanted to have wedding pictures when we ere married in 2002 but we could never find a photographer who was not like everyone else and cost a small fortune to hire. Thank you God because for our tenth anniversary with out even looking we found the perfect company to capture what we missed ten years earlier. My husband and I were married at Cuneo in Vernon Hills il in June 2002 and we had a Collage Student to capture the moments the best she could. So I went to Cuneo in November of 2012 and wore my wedding dress and My husband but on a suit. This Man John Welsh was not only amazing but talented and a true rarity. The pictures were so amazing that you could tell that is was fall and we were freezing. When you look at the pictures they look breath taking and amazing. The photographer was climbing in bushes, going the distance to get the most perfect lifetime memory to last for generations. He is a true diamond in the ruff. If you want your wedding day to be captured for a lifetime than this is who you want. Trust me Welsh Studio's in Fox Lake is perfect. A true God sent. I just wish I had him on my wedding day. I am Just so grateful to have him at all.

Welsh studios provided us with beautiful pictures of our wedding day. The people they sent were very nice to my husband and I, plus they dressed professionally. They got just about every photo that we had asked for on our list. The main concern that I had was that while we paid for 2 photographers, which meant 2 cameras as well, they did not have 2 cameras going at all times. We did get a third person to help with the photography, however, we had only one camera going for the majority of the day. Additionally, we had a special meeting with John Welsh, the head of the studio to go over a list of photos we wanted and a run down of the day, which I had to track down and send to the people he sent to photograph our wedding. I heard that there was some rudeness to a member of my bridal party, but I was unaware of it at the time. Overall, their work was great. The daughter and her husband of the team I was sent were incredibly nice and enthusiastic. I am very happy with my photos as they captured some truly great moments. The price we paid was very reasonable as we are able to get full rights to all the HD copies of our photos and a few mounted photos and a very nice photo book. I would recommend them to other brides as the work was great, but I would tell them to really put their foot down at making sure that if you pay for two cameras, they are both always going.

My mom recommended this photographer to me and I was very happy. The service was afforable and they listened very carefully to everything I wanted. My husband is not very photogenic and they were able to capture him looking great. We had two photographers with us the entire day - both had 30 years of experience. Very happy with the results.
