Wes was absolutely brilliant throughout every step of the process - and it all showed in the end with his immaculate pictures. He is a master of lighting, space, and composition. His ability to uniquely capture a frame and moment in time is quite special. The photos from our wedding are perfect. Outside of the final product of photos - Wes is the best person to have for the job due to his appreciation for the craft, and for his dedication to working at the highest level. He is honest, humble, kind and hilarious. He also has a calming presence and realness to him - which if you have him for your wedding (like we did) - that is just the type of person you want around that day. A thing to note that we thought was special and touching was that Wes had seriously done his research to know the names of our parents, bridal party, etc. So during photos he was addressing everyone by their names and that to us was above and beyond. Wow, Wes!!!! Our photos were absolutely amazing!!! We must say that we are blown away by how beautiful they are! The warmth, light, and raw emotion of every moment Wes captured meant so much to us and it will be something that we will cherish forever! We feel like we're having a hard time not looking at them over and over!! Going through our photos together for the first time was so special and brought out all the laughs, tears, and every emotion in between. We love how Wes didn't do what every other photographer does, all those basic poses that seem to be the ‘standard’ run of the mill shots! The style and life in his photos, especially the candids, made us feel like we were reliving our special day! You can absolutely tell the passion and creativity that he puts into his profession! I work in a TV studio and hire photographers for business purposes often. One of the best people I hire recommended Wes Craft. The results are amazing. Truly some of the best wedding photos I have ever seen. They actually look like the demo photos that every other photographer has on their website, (but they never give you that end product). The end product with Wes Craft was ridiculously good! Exceeded expectation by a mile! Oh, and he is very chill, easy to work with and tall enough to shoot over people to get great angles that others cannot. You only have one shot at this...Don't miss out, he is worth the price for sure!

Wes and Necia were so much fun, so professional, and wonderful to work with. They were thorough and creative in their photography the day of the wedding and easy to work with beforehand. I am grateful for their work and cannot wait to see how gorgeous the pictures are. I chose Wes because my sister had used him a few months prior - her photos were absolutely amazing!

I have known Wes for many years due to him shooting relatives & family weddings. Unfortunately, my wedding was called off after I had made about $3,600 in payments. Wes was informed months in advance & only gave me $600 back. This was after some back & forth. At first, he refused to refund any amount. I understand he says he gave me promotions, but I also opted for additions that I didn’t need to (ex: keepsake photo book), which is worth more than $600. I should have at least gotten those funds back. It’s disheartening because we have given him a good amount of business over the years & this shows how uncompassionate/unappreciative he is. I would not recommend him, nor will I do so again in the future.

This review is tough to write, as our jaws are still on the floor from just seeing our wedding day PREVIEWS. Wes is incredibly amazing, beyond talented, professional, has the creative “eye”, detail-oriented and was an absolute pleasure to work with. I met him at a wedding I worked a few weeks after getting engaged and instantly knew we had to book him, after seeing him in action. Leading up to our engagement session, my now husband and I were nervous about not knowing how to act in front of the camera without coming off awkward or stiff, but Wes made us feel so comfortable right off the bat and gave such great direction – we ended up having so much FUN!! Our wedding day was a literal dream to which we feel so lucky Wes and his second shooter, Lucas, were able to capture. Thank you, Wes!!

I cannot say enough good things about Wes Craft! Wes and his wife Necia make the perfect team. During our initial conversations, Wes spent a lot of time with us on the phone and in person to understand our exact vision and expectations. He totally understood what we were looking for, and was able to provide helpful information regarding possible locations and ideas that might work best for us. During our engagement shoot, Wes spent extra time with us to get amazing shots of the city skyline in the water. As the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Wes was one of the first vendors to reach out to us with information regarding their policies and how they would be able to accommodate us. Our large reception for our wedding was postponed, but Wes was able to come to our small ceremony and captured the most beautiful pictures in quick turnaround. The following year, Wes and Necia photographed our large reception and we are already blown away. The quality of pictures you will get and the experience you will have cannot be matched.

Wes was an incredible photographer to work with. My husband and I were married in November 2020 during the height of the pandemic and Wes was with us through it all. Our plans evolved a few times and Wes was nothing but flexible, understanding and accomodating (he even took a Covid test prior). His timeless photos help us relive every moment of our wedding day and we are grateful he captured it. We cannot recommend Wes enough, this is clearly his true passion and we are grateful to have worked with him.

Wes and Necia were absolutely amazing! During our initial talk Wes took time getting to know us and was always very responsive to emails. Even though we're not used to having our pictures taken, he made my husband and I comfortable. You can see his mind working, always looking for interesting and unique shots. He was funny and kept our family and wedding party at ease. He shot our engagement photos as well and they turned out so beautiful! We cannot recommend him highly enough.

If we could give Wes more than five stars, we would. We wanted timeless photos that we would be proud to hang in our home for years to come, not photos that would look dated within five years because they were so trendy. Wes more than delivered in that department. The photos he and his wife Necia took are true works of art. We got married during a nasty winter storm, with high winds and sleet nearly all day, but you'd never know it from the pictures. Our indoor pictures are stunning, and the few outdoor pictures we were brave enough to take look magical. Wes was totally in his element all day - it's very clear that he loves what he does. He captured everything we hoped for from our day, and we absolutely, 100% highly recommend going with him for your wedding.

Wes and Necia were incredible!!!! They photographed our engagement session and wedding! Wes made our engagement shoot so fun, easy, and comfortable!! Our pictures turned out beautiful. He captured us so well and also had amazing, creative shots! A family friend had photos taken in the same location by another photographer and on comparison, our photos were significantly better quality and captured great candid shots! We were not surprised because we could tell how in tune he was to every little detail! Our wedding day they were such an amazing team. Our wedding party and guests loved them. It was pretty chilly and they kept the wedding party laughing and smiling throughout outside pictures! Our guests commented how they were so amazing running around and getting pictures of everything. Amazingly, I didn’t even notice that because they did it in such a seemless and professional way! They also managed to wrangle my gigantic family for pictures and recall so many peoples names - wow! We are so happy to have discovered Wes Craft Photography. What made them stand out the most to us was their artistry and the way their pictures told a story. As soon as we looked through their photo gallery, we knew we wanted to hire them for our wedding. The only hesitation we had was whether they would be able to capture our ethnic wedding with the same creativity and style as they did with American weddings. Wes and Necia did an INCREDIBLE job shooting our wedding at the Art Institute of Chicago. They were both so patient with all of our questions and needs and were also so helpful with their recommendations. The photos and album they made for us after the wedding are absolutely perfect. I feel like we hit the jackpot hiring Wes Craft for our wedding. We found him through a family referral & knew his work was incredible. Wes is so responsive to emails and is incredibly detailed, a quality I appreciated immensely being a busy bride planning an entire wedding. He made us feel so comfortable from our engagement shoot to the day of. I didn't need to worry, knowing that he would capture everything that was important to us. What can be said about Wes and Necia that hasn't already been proclaimed? They were both consummate professionals and made our memories all the more special with their expertise. From our initial consultation with Wes, we were at ease with his attitude and professional vision. My wife comes from a family of photographers and he came highly recommended by the photography community, upon the first visit it was very clear why. Wes is a very kind soul and spent a large amount of time getting to know us and our personalities even before we discussed a single photo. We knew within in the first thirty minutes he was our photographer. Wes did a fantastic job of keeping in touch with us leading up to our wedding day and invited us out for a scouting shoot in the area around our venue. Both my wife and I are very goofy and rambunctious and Wes came into the situation like an old friend. The scouting trip was very playful and yet filled with his knowledge of what could and could not be accomplished on the big day. We left that meeting even more convinced that we had made the right choice in our photographer. As other reviews have stated Wes was a driving force for our timeline and did an amazing job keeping us on schedule. On the big day both Wes and Necia were fantastic with the controlled chaos revolving around us and during our preparation photos were very calming. Due to time restrictions and the pace our of ceremony and reception my wife and I chose to do a first look and Wes and Necia were phenomenal in making us comfortable and keeping us on track during the photos before the ceremony. Every single person in our wedding party loved Wes and had a fantastic time during the shoots. We knew that the pictures being taken were going to be good but when we finally saw them all every expectation we had was blown out of the water. I have not encountered a single guest from the wedding who did not tear up while browsing our photos. Wes and Necia are absolutely amazing at their "Craft"!! (Haha, you see what I did there?) I would and have recommended them to anyone who will listen. Thank you both again for everything!!!

I cannot recommend Wes Craft Photography enough. They were great to work with and most importantly the photos turned out amazing! My husband is an amateur photographer himself and we looked at a lot of photographers before deciding on Wes. We loved his style and the result did not disappoint. Wes captured the wedding beautifully. I especially love how well all of the candid shots turned out - it really captured the emotion of the day. Before the day, we reviewed the timeline for the wedding day and Wes was very helpful with suggestions to make sure we got all of the shots we wanted. On the day of, he arrived early at the hotel suite and was able to transform the room so that all of the getting-ready shots and bridal portraits looked great! We had been hoping for snowy weather for our winter wedding, but even with the weather not cooperating, the outdoor photos turned out so dreamy and lovely. They were able to work with a tight time slot at our church to get the wedding party photos we wanted, as well as all of the family combos. At the reception, they were able to get photos of all of the guests, which was important to us. And everyone got a kick out of the dance floor photos! He and Necia make a great team and throughout the day they kept an eye on time to make sure our timeline ran smoothly. They were so organized (which I loved as a bride) and so talented. The wedding day felt like a blur and I'm so grateful to have these amazing photos to look back on for years to come.

Once a wedding is over, all that's left are memories, so it was important to us that our memories be captured with attention to detail. After meeting with one other photographer, and talking to a few via email, Wes called me. After an hour phone interview (to get to know my vision and a bit about his craft), and after one visit to his Naperville studio, I knew Wes would capture our day. There were no questions left unanswered and his work speaks for itself. In the weeks leading to our event Wes sent me a worksheet to complete to touch base again on what was important to us. On the Monday before our wedding we talked for over an hour to discuss the timeline of the day. At that time, Wes kept us grounded and focused, and that ultimately made for a perfect flow on our wedding day. It was very important that we be present during our wedding, and not off taking pictures. A punctual timeline allowed us that. By now you've seen Wes and Necia's work online, but I'd also like you to know just how professional and kind they are. Both arrived early to set up on the day of our wedding. Wes greeted my entire family by name upon meeting them. He's a class act. Wes examined every picture and element before moving to the next. I've been in many weddings and never experienced that. He also gives helpful words and thoughts to put you at ease. Through out the day I witnessed Wes and Necia capturing moments I'll cherish forever. They were such discrete ninjas too, which was especially appreciated during church and intimate moments. To wrap it up, I wish this husband and wife team continued success and will recommend them for years to come.

Wes was absolutely amazing and made the entire process from beginning to end as painless as possible. I wanted to have engagement pictures with snow in the background. He was very flexible and responsive to emails and phone calls. We spent 2 hours in the freezing cold but he made us look like we were having a blast! I could not have asked for a better photographer! Hands down best photographer we could find in Chicago! Good camera quality, minimal or at least not noticeable editing, and great personality to work with. I recommend him to every friend of mine that gets engaged.

I starting following Wes Craft after seeing a facebook friend's engagement pictures. I then saw this friend's wedding pictures and they were amazing. Everytime Wes would post pictures from a wedding he did, I would watch the slideshow and cry the whole was through. The pictures were always amazing, and I felt like I could feel the emotion of the day through his pictures. I was engaged a few months later, and started researching other photographers as well. I did a side by side cost comparison and Wes was right in line with other photographers, except his quality was much better. Wes was the only photographer my husband and I met in person. One thing I loved was that he had shot 300 weddings by the time I had met him (this was in May 2012). I wasn't interested in a photographer that just starting out. I had friends that chose amateur photographers and they were not happy with their pictures. All you after the wedding are the pictures, so I thought it was important to choose someone who knows what he was doing. I actually booked Wes before I even booked our wedding venue, because I wanted to secure him for the day of. My husband and I did an engagement shoot that we (and our family and friends) were so impressed with. We really got to know Wes by doing this, and he got to know us too. Wes did whatever he needed to to get a good shot. He even layed on the ground at one point! During the wedding planning process, Wes helped me plan the timeline of the wedding day. At first, my husband and I didn't want to see each other before our ceremony, but we were having an outdoor ceremony at the reception venue, so there was no time for pictures in between. Wes discussed the pros and cons of this with us, and we eventually chose having a "first look" before the ceremony so we could fit all the pictures we wanted into the day. We wanted to maximize the pictures that were taken by Wes, so we were willing to do what was needed to make that happen. On the day of, Wes and his wife, Necia, were so professional. They work so well together. Wes had some little phrases that he would say to me and my bridesmaids to get us to change our poses, and those phrases are cute little inside jokes now that make us laugh and remember the day. Wes has this laid-back personality, but at the same time, he's in control and helps to fix any situation. He made sure we stayed on time with pictures to ensure we got everything in. After the wedding, Wes posted a couple "teasers" on his facebook page. After seeing 2 pictures, my dad told me "Wes was worth every penny". My mother-in-law thinks the pictures are magazine quality! We had all of our wedding pictures within a month after the wedding. It was so much fun (and emotional) to look through all the pictures and remember the day. The CDs were sent to us beautifully wrapped. Such a professional presentation. Wes Craft is now a household name with my friends and family. We see other wedding pictures and comment that Wes Craft is better. Wes has the experience that you want in wedding photographers and knows his stuff. I'm a bigger girl, and he made me look so beautiful in the pictures. I've had one friend already book Wes Craft for her wedding next year. And another friend was discussing with her husband about having their family pictures taken and they only want Wes Craft to take them! If that't not a compliment, I don't know what is!
